Lock in RA buddy. Y'all are milking money from my struggles as a predictor and I'm McLovin' it.
oops
I had a lot on my plate yesterday, but I made my prediction below! It's a 3-0 EDG victory prediction, which I understand is lame and boring but that's just what I think. I didn't think there would be someone waiting for my analysis, I really appreciate it. Thank you!
I have some words I'd like to share with the VLR community. Thank you. I've enjoyed commenting over the course of this tournament immensely, and I've recieved a range of reactions ranging from appreciation to mockery. Statistically speaking, from the 18 predictions I made this tournament, I only got 41.67% of them correct. That means that I am a pretty unreliable predictor, and I acknowledge that. Regardless, I'd like to thank everyone for just being here in general and providing me an audience to continue doing this. I will strive to improve, and I'll set a goal to correctly predict one of the international LAN events. Once again, y'all are great, thank you so much. Toodles!
It wasn't very nice, I got it wrong. It was going very well up until the third map, where viva turned up the heat for RA, absolutely dominating with his OP. FPX just couldn't get by it, and RA's momentum passed over to the 4th map, which although they lost, wasn't by a large margin. In my original prediction, I overlooked players like viva which resulted in my false prediction. I really thought FPX would win this one and ultimately, they didn't. However, I really appreciate your comment for trying to console me. Thanks!
Yeah he's an amazing player, and I really enjoyed watching him. Russians are just so good at this game.
I'm late to this, but here's how I think it will turn out. Logically speaking, EDG should win this one. RA has shown their strengths and power, and I think they're a solid team. However, I just don't think they have what it takes to win against EDG, who has swathes of international experience and a reputation of excellence. Sure, the matches might be close, we might even see OT on a map, but I highly doubt it will be RA's day at all. 3-0 EDG, Chichoo is going to perform.
Honestly, I should be thanking you! I'm so happy my predictions can be of help to you. I will continue making predictions for the forseeable future, and I hope you can continue to make money. Cheers!
Tough match for Z10. While Acend hasn't been very present during the LANs this year, they're still a top region team that could challenge for the EMEA title. I'm expecting an Acend 2-0, but who knows? Maybe Z10 could bring back a map and make it a 2-1. Anyways, I believe that a 2-0 here is what we're expecting, and very likely what we'll get.
Good game! Minny and Cantzer showed up for their team and I love to see it. Nice try incognito, but I hate to say it, on Bind they underperformed hard and I hope they do some practice on it for the future.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaand I'm wrong again... GN just didn't perform as well as they could've, and I think that's fine because we all have our off days. However, DE exceeded my expectations. With their previously slippery-looking form, I just didn't expect them to win this one. Well played DE!
I've got some difficult exams coming up soon but I'll continue to dedicate a part of my free time to do some analyses on a variety of teams. Thank you!
Yeah I agree, although technically speaking rematches are easier to win for the first loser, but I just can't see RA winning this one.
Both FPX and RA communicate in English to their imports.
Two teams with a history of competition! I love it. If we just look at head-to-head, it will almost be impossible to determine and predict a winner, but judging from recent form, I think GN has a good chance to bag the victory this time. Good luck Diamant Esports, you're a good team with players like Grmekista, Felix, and Pa1ze, but I think GN is winning this series 2-1. Incoming Chadi masterclass.
Looking at the big picture, I think that there is a low chance that incognito gets one over EE this time. EE has some good players like Minny and MaFiN, and I think they will play a big part in this match. Additionally, Tenebra is an experienced coach who has coached several teams including one of the best MENA teams. I just think it's going to be very hard for incognito to win this match! 2-0 victory for Enterprise Esports.
Thank you to BARRYALLEN for correcting me, I am quite blind, it is indeed Bo5. Okay, then i will submit my final prediction for this series as a 3-1 win for FPX. To go in further depth, I predict that FPX will open up the scoreboard by winning the first map, but will lose the second one as RA plays well or smth. As for the rest... FPX wins the next two maps to close the match out 3-1. I understand that RA has been imperative recently but once again, they got slapped silly by FPX last time and the difference was so large that I simply cannot see RA coming out on top this time.
I'm a newbie when it comes to Valorant predictions, maybe that's why lol.
I don't think there is a lot to say for this series. RA has had a cinderella run this tourney, and I think landing third is a good place for them to be. Regrettably, this means that I do believe that FPX is going to send RA home yet again. Their form is just too good and they've shown that they can challenge for the title. FPX is going to win and it is just a matter of whether it'll be a 2-0 or a 2-1.
I was wrong this time, but I'm not going to blame myself because these two teams are very similar in strength and it was like a 50/50 in my head.
They've been so good recently, I'd be surprised if they make anything but a massive impact on the outcome of the match.
You are absolutely right. Although the rest of the team are all amazing players, aside from monk and super-inconsistent Life, it's difficult to consider the others as "gamechanging" players in my opinion.
It would be really interesting to see them go to map 3, and yeah I agree Lysoar and Autumn have done miracles for FPX recently (and thank you!)
Paradox just didn't show up this time, what can I tell you lilbro, Medal Esports put up more of a fight than I expected them to but look what's happened. There's a lot of factors to consider in a match like this and it isn't easy lilbro.
This series involves two teams that have shown it all. Trace Esports has already bested two of the invited teams in dominating fashion, and it just brings a certain smile to my face when an upset against a favourite team happens (BLG). Rare Atom, on the other hand, is a slightly more unknown team, but they have fought hard to get to this spot in the tournament, and I doubt they're going to let it go now. If we look at pure statistics, TE, the current 4th best Chinese team (in terms of circuit points), should send 15th RA home, but with the type of form RA is on right now, it is hard to tell who will win. Speaking from my gut instinct, I have a primordial feeling that TE is going to win this 2-0.
I don't believe it! Perhaps I'm biased towards less-known orgs, but I really should've seen it coming. I had hoped that ASE would wake up after the EDG smashing but I guess not... Oh well, good luck in the league and I hope to see ASE return with improvements in mind.
Have you ever considered the possibility that TE isn't a bad team...?
What a match! My original prediction was a 2-1 TE win, and although I wasn't completely correct, I think I gave BLG a map purely out of pity. They really didn't play well at all this tournament and I really do hope they improve next time we see them on the stage. Good luck BLG and well played TE!
BiliBili just don't look like a team that can win right now...
To be honest, I think Aster Army has this game in the bag. Medal Esports has been on an abysmal streak recently, and I simply do not think they have what it takes to beat Aster Army this time around. But there's a chance, because they've played each other before and this could be different this time. 2-0 Aster Army.
Absolutely! I cannot wait to see how they try to play against EDG's almost-flawless gameplans.
This series is played between Attacking Soul Esports, and Rare Atom. Both teams have shown just how well they can play and I think this will be an extremely entertaining match to watch. I feel like ASE didn't perform as well as they could've against EDG, and perhaps that may change. Maybe Life will show up to the party this time, maybe he won't. But I can say for sure that RA is no joke. RA has good players and I don't think it will be like taking candy from a toddler for ASE. They're going to have to fight hard to make sure they secure the victory to proceed to the next stage. Regardless, I believe RA's time has come, and although they played pretty well for the most part, it only makes sense that ASE takes home the bacon this time. 2-0 ASE.
It is BiliBili Gaming up against Trace Esports in what I believe should be a quite balanced match, actually. Although TE recently lost to EDG, I don't think anyone can blame them for it. However, BLG didn't look like how they should've against FPX, and to be honest I thought they were the favorites for that series initially. TE has great players like Flex1n, FengF, and YOU, so I'm sure it won't be a piece of cake for BLG. Additionally, in my opinion, Yosemite-less BLG has looked a bit weak against WBG and FPX, so I hope they can do something about it. Levius isn't a bad player but he most certainly does not possess the skills Yosemite does. Good luck to both sides, but I'm going to predict a 2-1 victory for TE (I hope I don't regret it).
What a match! FPX look scintillating against BLG in the earlier series, and I cannot wait to see them challenge the top dog. It's going to be an extremely exciting and competitive match and I think it might be one of the hottest ones in Act. 1 of the tournament yet. EDG is definitely not going to go easy, and I hope FPX has prepared themselves mentally for this match against one of the top teams in the world. Good luck to both but I think it will be a 2-0 for EDG, considering all factors.
I loved it! What a spectacular match we've just had! I simply cannot believe the improvement FPX has shown in these past few weeks and I really want this team to keep winning! They all played really well but I think the Most Valuable Player of this series has got to go to Lysoar, he was amazing on Haven and I think showed up very well on Sunset. Well played and good luck to BLG in the lowers. I cannot say for sure yet but we might very well see a rematch between the two.
I think monk play alright compared to some of the other players, (字母哥 I'm looking at you) Life is having a snoozefest and there isn't anything he can do at the moment. Let's hope he shows up on Lotus...
Yeah he isn't having any of it today :(
Absolutely. Yosemite is one of the best support players I've seen, and he will probably make a large difference as compared to Levius in the WBG match.
Yosemite isn't here today, looks like it's going to be a tough match for BLG... Good luck!
I completely agree with you as well about the EDG players. I feel like Zmjjkk does so well sometimes that it underplays the rest of his team, whom are all extremely talented in their own ways. However, I think that ASE has more to offer than just Life (ex. monk is great). But yes, I can say without a doubt that EDG has a significantly higher chance of winning than ASE.
What a match we have here! BLG looked slightly precarious at first to me against WBG, but maybe that's just because they weren't warmed up yet or something like that... FPX played flawlessly against RA so I'm expecting a good showing from them, unless Yosemite really does make a significant difference to the BLG team. I don't have a definitive prediction for this series, but I really think it could go either way. FPX has improved immensely and I expect top tier Chinese Valorant from them. 2-1 for either.
Well played RA! I was so sure that WBG was going to win this time around, but alas, looks like RA just doesn't want to give me any form of satisfaction! Perhaps I should trust a bit more in RA next time...
I'm just a bit dumbfounded at the result of this series. I did see signs of weakness when TYLOO was playing ASE, but I simply brushed it off as good ASE form. Looking at this now, I can confidently say that my original prediction for this match was very off, and that TYLOO isn't at the same level they were at last year in qualifiers. Well played Trace Esports and good luck to TYLOO for the future.
That WBG Ascent game against BLG was stunning, in my opinion. While the result didn't go WBG's way, I genuinely feel like there were so many "oh shit" moments that at one point I actually doubted BLG's ability to win. However, I acknowledge the fact that WBG lost to RA last time they butted heads, and that this will not be an easy match to win. But at the same time, statistically speaking, rematches are usually easier to play, so I think WBG might have a better chance of winning this time around. RA's skills is not to be understated though, even if they lost in dramatic fashion to FPX... MarT1n and stew are both highly intelligent players that aren't to be underestimated in my opinion. I'm going to predict a 2-1 WBG victory purely based off of the form I witnessed from both teams in their lastest matches.
I feel like I need to add some further thoughts on this match. FPX absolutely clowned on RA. I feel like the amount of improvement FPX has made in the past month or two has been staggering. In this series, compared to FPX, RA looked like a field of cows on laxatives. Well played FPX! The entire team was a treat to watch and I look forward to their match against WBG/BLG.
FPX can probably speak english
You're right. In terms of international experience, ASE does in fact possess the advantage, but what I meant by "experienced" was how TYLOO has a lot of veterans (ICEKING, Abo, etc) with more experience than some of the individuals on ASE. But you make a fair point and I should've considered it. Thank you!
I don't know how to predict the outcome of this match. Although TYLOO got smoked to charred bacon against ASE, TE didn't do much better against EDG (except for Lotus). So for this series prediction, I'm just going to decide based off stats. Lets start with overall ranking. TYLOO is currently ranked 5th, while TE is ranked... 6th? Oh man that really doesn't say anything at all, my bad. When it comes to form though, if we look at the last five matches played, TYLOO has a record of 2W3L while TE has a record of 3W2L. Although I still don't know what score to predict for this one, I think I can confidently say that it could be a 2-1 for either sides.
BLG should clean this series up pretty swiftly, I'm not expecting too much from WBG, although I acknowledge that they have very competent players. They stumped me with their 0-2 loss against RA but impressed me with their hard-fought victory against RNG. Regardless of WBG's recent achievements, I simply don't think it stacks up against BLG's impressive VCT résumé. 2-0 BLG victory, whzy masterclass.
Quite the banger matchup we have here. RA is a team that has always surpassed my expecations, making an absolute circus of my previous RNG and WBG predictions. However, I'd like to believe that FPX has reviewed their Champions group stage loss and has made some improvements (especially with the signing of Autumn). Autumn is a reputable top-class player and I can't wait to see how he plays in NathanD and BerLin's system.
To be honest, I'm not expecting an easy 2-0 for EDG. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that ASE has picked up quite the fiery form in the past few matches and may possibly give Kangkang and his crew a run for their money. Then again, EDG played quite well against TE, reinforcing their no.1 reputation and showing that they are still the top team we've come to love and support. Anyways, my conclusion is that EDG might 2-0, but ASE has been convincing enough for me to consider a 2-1 EDG win.
Well, I'd be damned. I was wrong! To be honest, I made my initial comment without thinking too much about the actual form of TYLOO. Tbh I think they were playing like garden gnomes on sleeping pills, but ASE executed everything very well, so I can't really blame them. Tough for TYLOO but they can still go on a lower-bracket run.
