it's hard to stay hyped up when you're the one at the top - lonely is the head that wears the crown and what not
the aspas hate reminds me of olofm in cs - dude was one of the best players in the game for years but people always wanted to diminish how elite he was for whatever reason. same quiet/humble demeanor, focused completely on the game and beloved by all his teammates/opponents his entire career.
haters just gonna hate no matter what game or era.
it seems harsh to call it a fluke but i don't think we see g2, in its current form at least, making a similar run in any tournaments in the near future. i think they need to try to replace icy w/ someone who is a bit more reliable
boaster reminds me of pronax from csgo - dude just struggles to get a single kill
crazy how people still don't understand player roles in 2024
munchkin's godlike overwatch skill is starting to manifest in valorant
match makes up for the disgraceful showing from edg
pansy kinda reminds me of doris burke for any nba fans - i don't want to dislike her but she makes it kinda difficult sometimes w/ her abject EU bias
have been out of the valorant scene for awhile and was watching kc play wondering who tf carmichael is
checked the player/team page checking names, looked at the coaches and still had no idea and started to get annoyed
just now found out they been saying karmine corp
go and grill a couple hotdogs and come back the game is already over ðŸ˜
kangkang dies in the first 5 seconds on a wideswing into the entire enemy team
so reckless but thats who they are i guess
every time i see forsaken pop off it makes me think of that csgo player who cheated on lan
jesus that odin spraydown lmao
lowkey?
he was the first death 12 times and like 5 of those were in map 3 w/ the season on the line. that was one of the most blatant mental meltdowns i've seen in this game yet
that was one of the worst throws i've seen - never seen such an impatient player
i want to see a drx vs eg rematch because it seemed like drx beat themselves w/ the veto and passive play more than anything else
loud fans were ready to be insufferable if prx choked
the only reason i watch valorant now is to see navi fans suffer so current navi gets my vote
Haven't followed Valo for over a year but came here to pay homage to talent when I see it - that final play by Alfa was absolutely electric. Too bad they couldn't clutch it out but those are the kind of moments that define a career. Fucking insane.
With respect to the players moving on with their careers - it is about time NA began focusing on the next generation of talent. Long overdue.
Best of luck to these boys - hopefully the pressure of trying to live up to the 100T only proves as more motivation for them to continue ascending.
Haven't watched a Valorant match in months but heat/mwzera/cned is a must-see match even for a casual like me.
My only complaint about Gambit was they took out VS too soon - we didn't get to see more of the KR overlords. Otherwise very humble, fearless team worthy of the win.
I think deffo is just outside the top 3 (yay/keloqz/cned) statistically but in terms of who I like to watch and who I would want on my team, I'd probably go with deffo mainly because he plays more disciplined and isn't a selfish ego peeker like many other Jett/duelists. He is also on the most talented team from top to bottom so he doesn't need to hard carry like many other Jett players do.
Most boring match I watched all tourney - pretty disappointed
yay and nats have both been on fire - hoping this is an exciting match
They certainly look more and more beatable with each passing match this tourney
Who is the guy on the left side of the desk? He's actually pretty annoying how hard he fanboys Shaz and Sentinels like holy f bro dial it back
Lunatic Hai was a villainous team back in the 1.6 days
VS definitely has the cleanest executions on both ends of all teams I've watched so far. Very controlled and dynamic playstyle
steel and Hiko both look like old men trying to keep up
GMB 2-0 in two competitive games.
Usually I would think this too but keloqz genuinely panicked. He's still young and I believe this is his first LAN as well.
His zipline kill on TenZ was pretty slick
I feel like people who truly enjoy CS appreciate the competition that Valorant brings
That was easily the most embarrassing professional match I've watched in the last few years. CR looked like they were mentally broken in the first few rounds of map 1.
To F4Q's credit - they are playing their own style whether or not it works in the given situation.
I don't know much about the KR scene other than Bunny/zunba being from Overwatch (?) but would FiveK but the NA equivalent of shroud? Or is he not quite as popular?
KR play at an exciting pace and seem to have strong comrodrier even in defeat. Some insane aimers too.
Lots of potential and interested to watch their scene evolve.
Wow so it really was the 1.6 solo after all. I don't stay in the loop of international play as much as I'd like but to come to realize that it was the actual legend himself is pretty inspiring.
Best of luck to him moving forward.
