If you read the article you wouldn’t be asking me why I brought up Chinese viewership.
Tier 2 starting to look like "Tier 1 Premiere"
Phoenix > Brim > Sage.
Once you understand those agents, everyone else is a lot easier to pick up because you understand the flow of the game and what ppl expect of your utility and moment to moment actions
guess you didn’t read the article lmao
I literally just quoted from the article that this thread is the topic of?
Hello?
Right, quick look at your constant slander of anything to do with china or Chinese players tells me you don’t really care regardless
I don’t think any of these reports include viewership numbers from china. Now that the game is fully released in that region, Riot is probably doing a lot of marketing, inlduding the VCT. I’d assume there is a lot of new viewers, especially since billibilli is in playoffs and they are probably promoting it on their site
Considering the game just came out over there and two teams are in playoffs, I’d be willing to bet there is a lot of interest.
“An important caveat to note is that viewers from Chinese streaming services are not accounted for as these platforms do not show the number of people who are tuned in.”
”This is especially noteworthy as Chinese Valorant is enjoying its most successful international run, with EDward Gaming and Bilibili Gaming both making the playoffs”
Fake outrage.
Also have to remember players have to want to go to a team. There’s a chance Ardis was the only one willing to go to NRG out of the duelist they considered.
Moving across the world isn’t an easy choice to make For any player, regardless of their talent. So there could have been other reasons why Ardis was chosen over someone else
“Easily tilted” according to who? Sgares and Mikes say the exact opposite.
“don't sub to anyone unlike you”
That’s an insane comeback. Nice
Also, no he wasn’t lmao. You can check the stats from that event on this very website. Keep glazing though
Demar Derozan waking up, catching strays on vlr
no one is saying nadeshot is the sole owner..? And instead of explaining where you got “600k per player”, you just stated a single VC owner and drake who invested in series a funding in 2018 lol. Having investors doesn’t mean you have infinite money coming into your business. Those investors have nothing to do with the lack of sponsorship money 100T, and all of esports has been getting recently.
So where is your source for these salaries?
Where on earth are you getting these numbers from LOL, also 100T has had very little sponsor support the last two years. Which is why they are cutting costs so heavily and felt the need to start their own energy drink company to compensate lmao
Not really about who’s profiting, because that’s unrealistic. It’s about picking stable orgs that can continue operations, even at a loss. EG is one of the longest standing orgs in esports and Riot sure didn’t pick them for their online impressions or engagement. They picked them because they can rely on them to have an actual product. I guess this shows how shallow Sen actually is in terms of value they can actually bring to Riot
Well it’s a partnership program, not franchising.
Which is exactly why you would think Riot would want to choose stable organizations that would ensure views and engagement for years to come. Look at EG for example, not the most popular org in the world but they’re one of the most stable to be around this long in such an industry, which is why Riot is betting on them.
So they picked a dying org for partnership to get some extra views? Nice going riot! You can really see how they care about the legitimacy of esports!
That’s what I mean though, how is riots process not able to see this coming? Or even if they did, did they value whatever impressions Sen would bring to the game more than the longevity of the org itself?
Can someone explain how Riot even chose Sentinels for partnership if they look extensively into their business relations? How does a T1 partnered org publicly announce their company is falling apart before the first year of VCT is even concluded? Did riot partner with them for twitter impressions? Everyone is clowning on Sen right now but I’m even more confused how Riot trusted them with a spot in their league in the first place
Best controller in NA isn’t really an achievement considering it was a joke region and a broken Astra meta is what he played to win them a title. All that to say he wasn’t even the best astra at the event lol
Calling his ego “fair” is kind of a self report too. Don’t forget to re sub to him this month!
Reading comprehension is rare on this website
HUH LMAO?? By what metric? Look at the top players of a Reykjavik 21 and there are at least 4 players above zombs in every measurable statistic.
Y’all are coping hard with the rose coloured glasses on that man.
Nah lol, no one can be the next zombs because zombs was not very good, got hard carried by his entire team, and his entire personality was a valorant accent and flexing the watches on his wrist
These days pros can’t afford to be that checked out while competing at a T1 lvl lmao
I noticed he was following Matt Walsh months ago and I immediately lost hope
Funny enough, with the way Nade has been talking on his own podcast, I actually doubt he was let go because of his political views
If anyone values sgares and his mind for the game, then they should listen to him in what asuna brings to a team outside of a stats sheet too. Lots of ppl here have never played team sports and don’t know what proper team chem feels like and what teammates should be bringing in and out of a game on the day to day
That said, anyone expecting 100T to be “better”’ on paper are coping. This org will not be paying for big contract players for at least 2 years while the industry stabilizes
I think they’re both very clean. I was always a fan of the Jett kunai as well. Not every skin is designed for dopamine goblins, I’m just happy to rock VCT skins.
Just waiting for team skins to come out with very little VFX/SFX just to see ppl complain about it lol
Idk that sounds exciting to me. It’s about time this game had an actual dominant team so that others can strive to beat them and push the boundaries of what’s possible. It creates story lines and something to push for. Every team will be gunning for fnatic. Sign of a healthy esport in my eyes
Honestly, I’m surprised this didn’t make more rounds. I was extremely disappointed to see he followed and interacted with ppl like Matt Walsh… just gross. Good riddance
I think any team can beat or lose to any team in this game at the highest level
That is almost the point of how the game was designed. It’s just who is better prepared that day, and who’s mental is in check. nothing is impossible
I’m sure there will be upsets
All of these things are coming to the global clients, they’re just launching them with the Chinese version because they’ve been in development for three years.
I would hope Navi would considering it’s the weakest region lmao, whole region is hard carried by fnatic
Huh lol. If you think any org in esports has “endless money” then you don’t understand this industry. Clout or popularity =\= money
In fact, they’ve already said they won’t be spending on contracts like that have before because the entire esports div is basically rebuilding for the future.
The only org we’ve seen do reckless spending on players has been sentinels.
Move aside redbull clutch, there’s new gamer drink in town
“ they could have hired ppl throughout the season but they didn’t want to just hire ppl because they were available, they want to find the right fit.”
Lol?
Might be cheaper than a new mousepad but you could get a small usb powered fan to blow across your desk to regulate the temp of the pad and keep it cooler/consistent
They’re well aware of this. They’ve trialed some coaches and have stated they could have hired ppl throughout the season but they didn’t want to just hire ppl because they were available, they want to find the right fit. Which goes into why the entire company is going through some real financial pains right now, especially with esports. They can’t afford to spend like they used to, which looks bad for a T1 org like them. Id assume profits from Juvee and apparel probably feed back esports, one would hope because they’re starting to look embarrassing in valorant.
Wasted potential.
100T can’t afford him. Nade hinted in his recent podcast that the org can’t spend on players like they been. Expect this roster to go forward with potential VCL player pickups and betting on future growth. The entire esports division of 100T will be doing rebuilds very soon.
100T will potentially struggle next season so temper expectations.
First thing they need to do is get a real coaching staff to build a good foundation. Not over spending on players
Yeah idk, his new podcast has him saying some pretty centrist things lately and we all know where those people end up falling. He says he’s not a conservative but I’ve heard that song and dance before. I think he’s just very rich now and has “opinions”. Those two things plus twitter always leads to some interesting takes
I’m actually braindead LOL🤡💀
let’s keep this going though, WHERES THE GAMES???
LCQ supposedly starts tomorrow with no scheduled matches in any region?
The Sen copium is pretty wild. I don’t think that org is ever winning anything in this game again
Saying someone looks like someone is racist?
How is that saying anything about one race being superior over another or degrading that person because of their race?
