if anything your stats would go down if your team is trash, it means more shitty buys, lack of util from cash or bad coordination, more 1vX situations, bad trading and enemies that aren't lit up you literally just proved your own case wrong

that's literally the definition of 3rd party

you realise that if events in the season are more spaced out, resulting in a shorter season which a lot of people want, the revenue that orgs are going to receive is not going to be better right

the vast majority of the revenue they get is from the teams actually competing, if they compete in the same amount of matches or whatever over a long period instead of a shorter one the revenue they get is basically the same

you're going to be burning money to keep the rosters fielded either way

what's a better incentive that you reckon should be provided for winning ascension

an esports league is not sustainable without having at least some partner teams work with the organisations running the tournaments, obviously Riot was going to employ it cause of how much more streamlined the system is

I get pretty worried sometimes about a lot of T2 players or super young semi-pros trying to grind ranked 24/7 and neglecting their studies- people really forget sometimes just how short careers can be in the esports scene and how there really is a lack of a follow up job with the skills/experience they get other than working for companies like Riot/coaching staff or analysts etc.

u can have that conversation fs, again the coach stuff is basically ranked on team success mainly cause of how hard it is to identify coaching impact in games
