A child, exactly, and mate you seem to have a bit of an ego yourself
Mate, I just don't take the spreadsheets as being gospel, I enjoyed looking at them and seeing what might and I mean might be possible, I didn't get all upset if some of it was wrong.
To be fair, I am a bit clueless as why you are banging on about a guy that got death threats, deleted his Twitter and saying he shouldn't come back, like if he comes back and you don't like his info, don't read it, don't follow him, but there's no need to be putting fuel on a fire that results in him getting death threats.
You're still an ass, started another thread to call him out, he's gone mate, he didn't deserve death threats no matter how many threads you start,
I say to you again, why do the spreadsheets have to be 100% accurate, he got some stuff right, he got some stuff wrong, he got Reduxx to Sen 100% right, no one else had it,
If you want 100% spreadsheets, wait until all the rosters are announced,
I hope he comes back and ignores absolute haters like you.
He clearly wasn't making up everything, and again even if he was, does it actually matter?
If everything on the spreadsheet had to be right, there would be no spreadsheet until every team announced their rosters,
Seriously like, the spreadsheets are off season possible roster trackers, for entertainment and engagement of the community,
Not death threats
You really are a tool, are you unable to comprehend the fact he didn't deserve death threats?
Can you comprehend the fact he's clearly young?
Can you comprehend the fact that no matter if his spreadsheet were 90% accurate or 10% accurate it means nothing, the spreadsheets are based of x amount of research they are gospel,
He got some stuff right, he got some stuff wrong, the same as every spreadsheet done by anyone since the start
Rocket was obviously new to all of this, he got done, 100% but to be fair to him, he wasn't an established reporter, the spreadsheets he was putting out from the start were based on loose info, there's nothing wrong with that,
The problem comes from people who try to believe that the info on any spreadsheet is 100%,
The fact of the matter is he had Curry and Reduxx for Sen on his last spreadsheet, and people fryed him, he was right and anyone that cooked him, absolutely roasted him, sent him threats, were 100% wrong, simple.
Rocket obviously had the info from somewhere and everybody just jumped on him because red bull keep their website FAQ's 100% correct,
He probably started to question his info after what happened before,
Shit situation for him, people on this site always have to be right and try to take someone down,
I hope he comes back, even if he gets some things wrong.
Tenz is top 5 most important Valorant player in the history of the game, granted the international competition has had a total life of less than 4 years,
I cannot understand how people cannot accept this, he is the name everyone knows, he has had hugh impact on the game from day 1, good, bad, in game, out of game,
If people cannot accept his nomination for esports player of the year, go back a year, he was regarded as absolutely washed by people of this site,
He took on a new role which probably didn't really suit his absolute play style 100%, but he had impact, a positive impact which helped his team win an international tournament, of which there are only 3, and finish top 4 in another, the award is not for purely based on kills.
People need to build a bridge, Tenz isn't a dog shit player, he never was, his form wasn't always consistent, but he was never a bad player
They should all be well able to travel, I would imagine the same teams wouldn't qualify for all 3 unless they are really dominant,
And yes the tier 2 teams get the trophy, get the cash and try qualify for the next 1, but at least they are playing for a reason,
I would also imagine way less scrims when at the masters, as in not turning up a week or 2 weeks before it and scrimming like crazy, get to the tournament and play. Lose, go home.
To clarify, I still think something badly needs to change, preferably that allows tier 2 teams something to play for and get exposure for more often during the year.
I would normally actually agree but cs doesn't have a league and leagues are probably less common in general in sports, it's the tournaments that get people interested, something is on the online in a tournament...ie you lose, you get knocked out,
Maybe if it was 1 league with all the teams from all the regions with a playoffs to end it, so say NRG would have to fly to Europe, play half the European teams over 2 weeks, the other teams would be flying to LA to play NRG and 5 other Americas teams. Same case for all regions / teams. Could be hard to track and would be a lot of games
I'm never sure if the points system is totally fair but if a balanced system was there, I agree the winner being the only guaranteed qualifier makes that final actually matter
Oh I have to say I missed the fact the 2 splits next season are full splits as I each team will play 11 matches, that would be a hugh improvement.
If they would do something to help tier 2 before it disappears, that would also be great!
Yeah, its working on the assumption Riot will not give up on Franchising, that causes all of the headaches, the only other hope may be that orgs / sponsors throw prize funds at independent tournaments that are more valuable than the VCT itself!
Or scrap my 3rd masters idea, condense Riots season and have what Riot refer to as the off Season something the teams actually take more seriously (assuming high prize funds independent tournaments)
This could be a long post,
Assuming here Riot are adamant Franchising stays.
Increase the Masters events to 3 (12 teams) and Champs (16 teams) will remain the end of season tournament, say the season starts 1st February,
Have 2 or 3 week regional qualifier (like kick off, not a league) where all Franchised teams take part, along with 1 or 2 tier 2 teams will have qualified for this qualifier. Top 3 quality for Masters.
Masters starts end Feb / early March, 2 week tournament, no need for it to be longer and no need for a big gap between regional qualifiers and the start of Masters.
2 weeks after the final of Masters 1, say late March, the same process starts for Masters 2 (tier 2 teams should have a way in), this gets to in or around late April / early May, once Masters 2 complete's, there is a break until say 1st June.
1st June, same process to qualify for Masters 3, (tier 2 teams should still have a way in).
Once Masters 3 is complete, the regional championship starts, not a full league but more matches than the qualifiers for Masters 1,2 & 3. A couple of tier 2 teams should be able to also qualify for this. The winner becomes the regional champion, qualifies for Champs, along with the runner up.
The remaining 2 spots for Champs can be done on a points system, not perfect but it does reward some form of consistency through the year, but only have points awarded for qualifying masters 1,2 & 3 not for actual wins losses in the regional qualifiers.
This all effectively means Franchised teams are automatically in the qualifiers for the Masters events but that tier 2 teams have a chance at getting into those qualifiers, so if an Acend or a TSM make a push with a good roster, the have a chance at regular reward.
Agree, Franchising works for the teams that made it, it doesn't for the rest, if it is going to stay and the game is to survive long term the overall season needs to change,
It needs to be more spread out over the course of the year, even more that is planned and tier 2 teams need a way to qualify for 1 or 2 of the Masters events, possibly even champions, just have more spots for the franchised teams,
Tier 2 teams need a way to earn cash and exposure (viewership) during the year, not grinding it out the whole way to acension and hoping to then win that or it's all been a hugh waste of time and money.
I don't understand people like you on this site, okay you're an NRG fan, (Optic before franchising?), 2 players retired in 24 hours from another team, doesn't affect your team, they were 2 players that achieved a lot in the game, and could have continued next year and beyond.
What do you actually achieve from your thread?
Sacy won a trophy this year and finished the year well, he had success over the span of his career in Valorant, most players will win nothing, ever.
It could change from Tenz, or may not, KK obviously has Chima on lock, he is China's first successful player,
If Tenz watch party's or Riot have him at events and keep him in the scene, he may stay the face of the game everywhere else,
If and this hasn't happened yet but if a player domitinates, wins numerous trophies (from this point on), streams regularly, has a good personality, blah blah, they could become the face of the game,
People seem to underestimate it's his personality, his long term relationship with Kyedae, not been an absolute dick on stream, as some of the main reasons why he is the face of the game.
You really are a pain, Tenz is absolutely the face of valorant, there's no arguing that, cs, not much (you got 1 thing right today, well done), keeping in mind cs is fairly dead in NA bar when 2018 c9 and / or Shroud stream, might change a bit with m80 and a few new teams NA teams actually trying
Nah mate, I'm just not a hater, I don't believe if 1 player is considered good or a legend or the goat or the king that every other player is shit,
Tenz earned the respect people are giving him today, his highlights will last forever, other players will get the same respect when they retire,
There's just people like you that just hate Tenz, for whatever reason and have never liked him, if you can't appreciate all of the talent in the game, why bother following it at all.
You really are an absolute dope, no one here said Boaster was a bad player, are you capable of understanding there can be numerous good players all the the same time??
Both Sick and Tenz missed multiple games, Zombs was dropped along the way, go back and check, it absolutely was a mess, go back and check the 5 that actually played for Sen in 2022, it was almost never the same, apart from when they had Shroud and Zellsis for LCQ
What an awful take, the team was a mess in 2022, he was out sick for a number of games, they played with multiple subs over the course of that year,
Everyone knows 2023 was a disaster for that new team, it didn't work, Tenz had a couple of bad games after the Kyedae news, he played quiet well when he came back into the team,
2024 was total redemption and if you honestly think he wasn't as good as what other's say, you know nothing about the game, and even when he has retired, you're still a TenZ hater.
Sacy also wearing a Sen jersey, Tenz and Zekken also started streams, will they duo? this announcement may break the Internet!
I bite every time someone brings this up, Tenz would have played Kayo / Breach and Yoru, maybe some Omen / Chamber all year if Zellsis was not in the team, I actually would have liked to see it, also would have liked to see more Yoru on Bind, it's not like their record was particularly great when he ran the Gekko on it, but his agent pool is fine, he learned Omen, he could learn another one if the team required, just can't see that being any sentinel (excluding Chamber) and maybe not another controller
Time will tell, and yes I don't think he will leave if Zellsis leaves, but of Zellsis stays and Tenz gets a better salary / role offer, why would he not take it? Doesn't seem like the kind of guy to get high before signing a contract!
You do know it will be all okay if he does leave, and Sen don't only get to make that decision, his contract is up, maybe he wants to go to a new team.
I actually think it's very unlikely both he and Zellsis stay in the starting roster, Tenz could easily find somewhere that he can play more Kayo / Breach / Yoru
Maybe, maybe as James says, Sen are cycling through all of the team and they are trying to find a new fit, Tenz contract is up, he doesn't have to re sign, he'll surely take the best offer, be that salary or role, hell maybe he wants to play Jet again, maybe he took Japanese lessons last year for a reason and went there after champs)
Both Sen and Tenz will be fine if he doesn't re sign, Sen may lose some fans, world won't end, he'll get another team if Sen choose a different set up for next year,
It could suit everyone, Sen pay out less cash in salary, (obviously less sponsorship in), Tenz will likely go to a team where he plays more flex or second dualist / less omen, no Gekko
Tenz didn't play omen at pro level a year ago, I'm sure he's capable of picking up a new agent, and to be fair he wanted to be the kayo / breach / yuro, 2nd dualist is that is ever possible, not the teams actual controller, but as has been mentioned, zellsis can't play omen, and mate to be very clear he was supposed to play breach on sunset and possibly split when pancada was on the team, so zellsis coming in did change his planned role
This years format wasn't a mile off,
To have a proper regional champion, matches against every team in the league have to count, so stage 1 carrying to stage 2 was correct,
The points system helped reward teams that played well over the whole season, people hate that Sen qualified but they didn't actually get any points for the matches they won in kick off, if they had, they would have qualified earlier and easier for champs,
The main issue with this year was some teams went into stage 2 with little hope of qualifying for Champs, so maybe the answer is just bring back an LCQ, or have more teams qualify for the playoffs after stage 2 ends,
Could easily drop the kick off event ay the start of the season and bring back the LCQ after masters 2,
Or even after masters 2, split the regional league into 2, top teams play for regional champs, top 3 qualify for world champs,
bottom teams play an LCQ format, the winner either goes to Champs or plays off against the 4th best team for the final place in world champs.
Cheers, and yeah and I know some teams have extra matches but top six with the most wins will make playoffs
It's not right either. They rank by the points system, again that only matters for the 4th team that qualifies for champs. It has no effect on the top 6 that qualify for playoffs, like Sen are 4-3 from 7 matches after today.
where can I see the correct standings? the top 6 qualify for playoffs, that's the top 6 on their match record for stage 1 and stage 2 (10 matches), excluding the results from the stage 1 playoffs, the points system only matters to decide the 4th team that qualifies for champs
Way too soon, stood up way to soon, far too arrogant
Sideshow made the video for views and for views only, Tenz played how much of Omen when he made that video, he probably played Yuro once maybe twice in pro matches,
He was always going to improve the more the played different agents in different comps and with a couple of months scrims and matches, it was highly unlikely Tenz wasn't going to improve, they way Sideshow presented the video it was as if Tenz was almost a hopeless case,
Anyone here saying Sideshow was right actually believed there was actually little hope Tenz would improve
Mate, I don't really care, I'll watch it burn, you're saying he won't be back, I'm just saying he could be and they could need him, it's just a different opinion to your own
Just because something didn't work last year, doesn't mean it's a reason not to change something this year, last year they brought in marved who hadn't intended on playing, he also had to pick up being the igl,
Everything about Sen was a joke last year, it doesn't mean that if it's not working with the current that they shouldn't bring pancada back in, particularly if this 5 can't get actual wins, pre season means nothing,
It will really mean nothing if they don't win against 100t and get through the play in, anything bar the semi finals of kick off is a failure
Tenz hasn't fallen off to being useless, the original team didn't practice enough after Reykjavik in 2021, that carried into 2022, he missed matches and sick missed matches both were missing for some matches... either way they didn't practice, 2023 was a different team with hugh role issues, tenz had shit going on, then got sick, then injured his hand, then is seems he was dropped for a few games until dephh left,
Yay left his core team after 2022 and seems to have got screwed by c9's cash issues and is now playing a different role in a different team and he hasn't played tier 1 lan in a year, his decisions might turn out to be errors but he is not a bad player, he was previously very solid on jet and obviously chamber, chamber will be back soon,
Demon1 is in his 2nd year, he may or may not always make the correct career decisions, time will tell, his career is very young,
People go on like Valorant has been around for 10 + years, it's been 1 weekend into it's 4th proper pro season, it's impossible to judge anything for another 2 or 3 years when maybe someone has won 3 /4 /5 international events
I agree with you for the most part, tenz covering yoru / kayo / breach / omen / chamber, with pancada being the viper when it's double controller would be their best roster, or work the 6 man team,
I don't agree with the people saying that they won't win anything with Tenz, good on split, not awful on accent, would have been better if he was kayo,
The whole zellsis thing is strange, believe what is been said and it's like they can't operate without him in the 5, I highly doubt pancada is that miserable or his comms and that bad, that they fall apart when he plays,
Either way, it has been 1 match against an underrated Loud team, Sen could be fine with Zellsis or they lose to 100t later and this site goes into meltdown!
It didn't work last year because Sen were a joke, the team was bad from the start, Dephh not playing the sentinel role was a problem and everything after was panic changes, it just seems weird to sign zellsis as a 6th man and not have a 6th man involved,
I also think it would help if zellsis would just concentrate on matches and not be mentioning pancada on Twitter or in his steam title, he might want him totally gone, but you cannot be sure that sen won't need him at some stage
Totally agree, there's 100% comps were playing pancada on viper and tenz on omen would work, there's other cases where maybe play pancada / zellsis. There's a case where you play solo viper and you pick between pancada / zellsis when chamber comes back into the meta there's a case for double sentinel,
The only reason people say sixth man doesn't work is because the teams ot didn't work for only scrimmed with 5 and didn't have the 6th man involved, it can work, with the esports money problem most teams don't have a 6th, Sen do and have effectively left Pancada out in the cold rather than keeping him involed
Tenz is still good, yay is still good, any other player that have proved themselves are still good, this website overreacts to everything, tenz may not ever have the same ratings as 2021 but he is playing a different role and agents, the game evolved, the teams have evolved, the plyers have evolved, tenz went 7/12 on accent, anchoring a site getting hammered with util, he didn't go 7/22,
Also the people that hate on tenz, that back yay / demon1 and the people that hate yay because they only support tenz on this site are a waste of time, there's plenty of good pro players, they aren't all in ideal situations and not every good player will be in a ideal situation every year
This was always going to be the issue with bringing in zellsis,
tenz should be playing kayo or another iniatitor or 2nd dualist if required, he has now spent months practicing controllers instead of initiator,
Sentinels also shouldn't have alienated pancada that way they have, they could need him, it would have been fine to sign zellsis as the 6th man and use him if required and as the vibe merchant,
They have only lost one match, they should have won split, they weren't in a million years expecting that accent comp, but if they lose to 100t, that would be a very bad sign
Riot have ignored the obvious from the start, each region has 11 teams, easy 10 matches each split, top 2 or 3 qualify for each master's,
After the 2nd Master's, the top 3 (top on points from the regional league only over the 20 matches) playoff for who is this year's league champion for each region...all play each other and then top 2 play bo5 final, all 3 of those teams qualify for champs,
The remaining 8 teams play an LCQ and the winner of that would be the 4th team from that region to qualify for champs.
As for the groups for kick off...they should have streamed the draw so it's very obvious to everyone the thought process and the actual draw...if there was 1 at all!
Sentinels are not going to drop TenZ with the launch of
the skins coming up next month,
Even still it is very unlikely they drop the guy that is responsible for most of their merch sales again,
Pancada is class but he is not competing with TenZ, he is competing for the spot with Zellsis, without Zellsis coming in they would have had a team of 5, they have 6, someone can't play,
In all likelihood his opportunity will come this year with Sen, be it the meta changing, a player's bad form, a bad spell of form for the team, or someone ending up unwell, whatever,
And TenZ may not have the rep he had 2 years ago, but he's still actually a talented player and adds to the team
