you'll ruin your sleep schedule and mess with your circadian rhythm but other than that, u wont like die

probably not. franchised teams would be able to find gaps in their play and punish wayyy harder

im guessing thats a one way for gen?

not high elo or smokes player but immortal initiator player here

I think it depends on the enemy comp and what flood util they have, like flashes for example. smoking heaven should be the least of your priorities and I would use your smoke for tree control instead. if you're just 5 man hitting A, it doesn't necessarily hurt to smoke heaven but it wouldn't be the end of the world if you didn't (assuming someone holds it)

N4RRATE on sentinel makes a lot of sense to me for a couple or reasons

  1. his mechanics make him a reliable site anchor on defense and a reliable lurker who can pick off players on attack. if your lurker loses a fight on attack, it becomes really easy for the defensive igl to read you

  2. johnqt on recon helps him stay with the pack and have more control over the game. it’ll heavily improve his mid rounding as he’s directly involved with the play and has the utility to support

Marginalized means being treated as insignificant by society. Women have been historically marginalized (rights are debated, they weren't allowed to vote, and sexism in general).
In gaming, women are even more marginalized because people, typically men, are toxic and create an unwelcoming environment for women and anyone that strays outside the cishet male normative. This is also why Game Changers is for women AND marginalized genders (trans/nb) because those people face discrimination in cishet male-dominated gaming spaces.

posted 7 months ago

so why don't you go "farm" these paychecks since its so free?

posted 7 months ago

Trans women are typically more commonly found in online gaming spaces due to being able to exist without IRL discrimination. You can present female online without ever having to show your face or voice. This results in a larger trans population than you would find irl.

posted 7 months ago

People love to claim that trans/nb players have a "biological advantage," but KRU lost to G2, MIBR srN & Jelly didn't dominate against GX, and FLY evv & Starbound lost to XIP.
Only Florescent gets hate because SR is so successful, and she's a good player. You can't say that she's only good because she's trans when other trans/nb players don't see the same level of success as her.

  1. As a woman myself, I usually see the opposite. Usually, women lift other women, especially in male-dominated environments such as esports.
  2. Potter's background comes from competing in CSGO with a female team, Complexity GX3. She has been in Ava's shoes before and understands the importance of having women in esports. With her successful coaching career and Ava's potential, they could be a good team.
  3. I've met Potter irl at events and she is so friendly towards everyone, especially other women. She is the first one to smile at you and compliment your hard work. Definitely not the type to bring other women down just for the sake of it

I think she could thrive under a leader like Potter

Especially as a woman, she knows the struggle and importance of breaking the glass ceiling in a male-dominated environment.

posted 8 months ago

I think because of LOUD vs OPTC rivalry

why would there be beef between her and potter?... if anything, they would be even closer no?

pretty sure someone just pulled this out of their ass, but what's the likelihood of this team working out?

posted 8 months ago

why would reduxx leave SEN to join a tier 2 team?

posted 8 months ago

This is bait, but I'll bite.

There are reasons why women are "worse" than men at the PRO level.

  1. Smaller pool of players
Women have always been a minority in the competitive gaming world. Unlike most boys, girls were not encouraged to play video games growing up, especially not FPS games like CS:GO. Because of the lower number of female gamers PLUS the even smaller number of women who grew up playing competitive shooters, there is a smaller pool of talent to work from.

  2. Toxic Environment
Competitive gaming is typically known as a toxic male-dominated environment. Because of the small pool of female players, it was uncommon to see a woman in your games, thus leading to an anomaly. Because women in gaming stood out due to societal norms, men would harass them by making sexual comments, misogynistic jokes, and just anything to make them uncomfortable. Due to this toxic gaming culture, the pool of women who want to join the gaming community gets even smaller as more and more women face harassment every time they play. This is generally why a lot of girls, including myself, are hesitant to use voice comms or play competitively. It also makes it harder for women to rank up and learn in-game communication skills when they get harassed every time they try to talk.
