Betting odds for both to win were identical

posted 6 months ago

Don't think that's fair, people had them pretty even with 100T

Cope harder

13-2, 13-9, 2-0 is definitely a dumpster lol

Dude said nAts was flukey but Sheydos isn't lmfaooooooo

xffero (tehbotoL at the time) dropped 38 kills playing Viper on Breeze in his very first LAN map ever against OpTic at Champions 2022. Think Monyet broke it technically for a "LAN" this year in the Pacific league with 39 against DRX on Split (in a map they lost)

posted about a year ago

How did they do him dirty? This is a competition, the team looked poor with him and looked much improved when they replaced him with something.

posted about a year ago

Is it though? As a viewer I love seeing top tier competition on a weekly basis. There are downsides sure, and I bet a bunch of them will get fixed with time/experience

posted about a year ago

And global salary caps are very hard to do considering every region has vastly different costs of living.

$20 for an event ticket anywhere in North America is super cheap, especially in LA

posted about a year ago

Better audio quality and lower latency are the main reasons I believe.

Having the idea that "anything other than winning ascension is a fail" will absolutely set this team up for failure. Sure they might be favourites but they not only have to run through every tier 2 North American team, but then Brazil and LATAM as well. Some partnered teams from the Americas league wouldn't even be locks to make it out of that format lol

The top prize is $50k, which is $10k a player before they pay out any coaches, analysts, and org cuts. It could be as low as like $5k per player which is like 2 weeks salary for them. I don't think they care THAT much about winning.

Not every team can be good, at least this team is now intriguing to watch.

posted about 2 years ago

Damn sorry to hear, any luck since?

posted about 2 years ago

Literally same thing happened to me today too. Game randomly wouldn't open, task manager would say "BoostrapPackedGame" and wouldn't let me click end task on it. Tried reinstalling Valorant and Vanguard and a bunch of tips online but nothing worked until I deleted my antivirus which has seemed to fix it. If you have a 3rd party antivirus try disabling it temporarily and then launching the game. Hope this helps and goodluck!

posted about 2 years ago

Did you get this fixed? Having the same issue rn and can only launch the game after I toggle off my antivirus which is terribly annoying.

Thank you. I wonder what the roles will look like on this team. No one on the team has much Chamber experience do they?

posted about 2 years ago

Good thing I asked lol just figured since he hadn't played pro in over a year and was a content creator he was going to be like Cigarettes on Paper Rex

posted about 2 years ago

I haven't been able to find it, does anyone know who will be IGL for Detonation and who will be in the starting lineup? I assume Seoldam will be the 6th as he hasn't played in forever and is a massive content creator but I'm not super familiar with the Pacific scene

I disagree with a few of these, and even still, it's hard to judge rosters on a one to one comparison. Sen has elite talent coming over from LOUD but they also have one of the biggest question marks in TenZ who hasn't been playing at a top level for over a year. Also if we assume Zekken is playing Raze then TenZ will have to play Chamber which he has 8 matches on and hasn't really done the best at (it doesn't really fit his style). With C9 it feels like there will be very few confusion on the roles and I think it's safe to say C9 has a much higher floor than SEN

posted about 2 years ago

I kinda like it. Last year there was months between LCQ and Champions and it was far too long.

posted about 2 years ago

They're hype but I wish they had better knowledge of the game. They keep missing very obvious things and saying things that are just flat out wrong, pretty distracting tbh

posted about 2 years ago

For NA? Over 500k

posted about 2 years ago

well yeah if you don't live where the event is then plane travel will be expensive, not much Riot can do there

posted about 2 years ago

What tickets are you looking at? The tickets for Masters, for the best seat option, are like $100 USD total for all 4 matches.

posted about 2 years ago

That wouldn't make it random though and could end up giving competitive advantages.

posted about 2 years ago

It's literally randomized. Just bad luck.

posted about 2 years ago

well obviously not look at yay on ANDBOX lol

posted about 2 years ago

They had only been together for less than 2 months and came 3rd in North America, that's about as good of a result as you can expect lol

posted about 2 years ago

I know he was bad on it. I just thought he would be good on it before he played it, and I wish he had more than 50 rounds played to try to learn it and make it work

posted about 2 years ago

This is why I thought Shahz would be a really good chamber but they switched off playing him on it

posted about 2 years ago

I'm right handed IRL but switched to left handed view model awhile back, had some friend tell me about an eye dominance test (idk if it's true) but it said I'm better using left handed and just ran with it. You get used to it if you just switch and play.

posted about 2 years ago

This is 1000% not true lmfao. Do you know how many professional athletes there are that coast once they've got a big contract? There are legit top 10 athletes in certain sports who have a reputation for being out of shape and lazy. Shaquille O'Neal is a prime example.

posted about 2 years ago

I think M3C can get back to top form but since the start of the year they haven't been very good. Acend don't look top tier and Guild has yet to even qualify for an international event so hard to tell. I'm a big Guild fan I hope they can qualify and have a good run.

posted about 2 years ago

NA Stage 2 Open Quals start in like 4 days lol

posted about 2 years ago

As someone from NA, I think EMEA will still be the slightly better overall region this year, but NA is clearly the 2nd best region and it's not really close.

posted about 2 years ago

Mainly because they are in a group with OpTic, Liquid and KRU where only 2 teams make it out. Losing Patiphan was huge and they lost to Paper Rex twice this year but they shouldn't be below ZETA I think they'd beat them

posted about 2 years ago

Asuna is the only one here I'd really trust. I think his ideal role is similar to Xeppaa or Zellsis or Victor where he's playing the Raze on maps where they don't run Jett but then also flexing to Kayo or whatever initiator is in meta when they do run Jett.

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah, except Victor now doesn't have COVID and won't have to be isolated, and XERXIA's best player is in Overwatch now lol

posted about 2 years ago

That is not the case. If NIP wins, then LOUD gets the bye. If Leviatan win, KRU gets the bye.

posted about 2 years ago

LOUD looks good but I haven't really been impressed with many of the other teams from outside EMEA and NA. Not that I watch them a ton but I try to

posted about 2 years ago

Masters 1, an NA won the event and didn't drop a map. Masters 2, an NA team was runner-up. NA is behind EMEA, but what other region has results that are even close to NA?

posted about 2 years ago

Now do the other international events.

posted about 2 years ago

I mean at this point we have more evidence that Champions was flukey and that NA is probably still the 2nd best region in the world.

posted about 2 years ago

They both made top 12 in NA? How few teams do you think are in each tier?

posted about 2 years ago

I know this is a troll post but imagine calling NRG and Rise "tier 3" teams

posted about 2 years ago

I think EMEA is better. I'm saying I still think NA is the only region capable of truly competing with them. LATAM is just a 1 team region with KRU anyways and the smaller Asian regions just haven't shown that they can compete with NA long-term yet imo.

posted about 2 years ago

I mean, NA is the only other region to make a final of an international tournament. Sentinels won Iceland and Envy made the Finals of Masters 3. The only reason this is even an argument is because NA underperformed expectations in 1 tournament where minor regions overperformed expectations, but they still didn't reach the levels that NA has previously.
