2023 champs had EG's storyline, PRX's storyline, playoff teams representing each region, NRG v Bilibili, Fnatic and LOUD reign being overthrown, random memes around players (com always flanking, demon1 nobody ranked player, jingg's last dance, d4v41 = david, ANGE1 snus, etc). I wasnt commenting on the agents balancing/meta/quality of players

I went to the 2023 LA Champs with friends and the 2024 Champs was at a very late time for me, so my perception of the hype is probably affected by that too, maybe slow decline was the wrong phrase to use

i think tarik had a 2 week long vacation not long before that champs, it probably was good for his mental health to see the sun and take a break from watch partying, which actually made his watch parties better.
Also 2023 champs was just peak valorant, its been in a slow decline since

i already gave my take in this thread but as a trans man, that's how i'd prefer it. although i'm not really that close to being pro (played a little with a university team), still i'd rather be treated as any other cis man, just like how a trans woman would want to be treated like cis woman and allowed to play in GC. i don't even experience transphobia when i play val bc i sound like a dude. its not ideal and i probably won't ever make it to even t3 teams, but it is what it is.

here's my 2 cents a trans man, i would not want to play in GC. its a league for women and nbs, and if im a dude, then i shouldn't be allowed to play. my gender is man, its not a "marginalized gender", its man. yea i know i have the disadvantage of being raised as a woman and it sucks i can't play in the easiest league to farm (jk i'd get shit on), but if you really do transition to a man and take testosterone you shouldn't be allowed in Game Changers. im sure like the 3 other trans dudes lurking this site might have their own opinion, but thats just my take.
