If this is in reference to Rapid Lofi beating NRG, its definitely not fair to call RL T3. They played at Ascension, which basically means that they are at the top of T2.
If not, then sure, I guess. T2 in NA is a bit of a dumpsterfire right now.

I see, didnt really work out for NRG but impossible to know whether it wouldve gone differently if they had picked up sinatraa
all controversies aside, is sinatraa still good enough to play in tier 1 or has he fallen behind? I remember he used to be insane on sova back in the day as well as raze to some extent
yeaa fr, plus hes very involved in the scene, has his own team, actually knows something about the other regions unlike some local talent who purely care about their own region (nothing wrong with that but it limits their ability to reference stuff that happens on the broader scene)
guy is a vibe, need those kind of people in the crowd
I think your set of values and beliefs is strongly influenced by the environment in which you are raised/grow up and the values and beliefs of individuals that you view as being either accomplished or successful in one way or another, therefore you attribute their opinions and beliefs with greater weight than those of people you may deem to be less accomplished by social standards, similar to how a lot of people assume that politicians need to fulfill a number of prerequisites in order to be able to lead a party or governmental body effectively.
Also,, as I believe was mentioned earlier, everybody is a hypocrite to a certain extent, predominantly because in today's society, there are very set beliefs and fundamentally established approaches to situations that most people won't be willing to stray from out of fear that they'll be ostracised for it, regardless of whether those norms coincide with their own beliefs or not. Humans are very social beings, thus having opinions and beliefs that differ too far from the norm would be opposing that desire.
Just recently had an extensive conversation regarding the upcoming presidential election, heard a lot of opinions, most of which I personally agreed with but some that I didn't, chose not to voice those opinions on account of trying to avoid a debate :)
Assuming we had a scenario where we were to take a bunch of children with little to no contact to other individuals, being provided with literature that serves no other purpose than to educate them on how the world is functioning (an objective, unopinionated display of how things are done), I think it would be interesting to hear what their opinions would be if confronted with various socially challenging scenarios (issues concerning race, gender, substance use, etc.), because I think its quite difficult for an individual, who grew up the "normal" way to stay perfectly objective (if there is such a thing) when it comes to making decisions on any topic really.
Obviously that will never happen due to that being highly unethical by social standards, as well as quite unfeasible to pull off anyway, considering the investments and logistics of it all. Still an interesting thought experiment. Just talking out of my ass here, but would be interesting.
she couldnt travel to play in the championship in Brazil in 2023 cuz it would have been dangerous for her health and they wanted to avoid possible compilcations
Ngl pancada looked like Louds best player during split 2 of this year as well, I guess he just wasnt comfy with english comms on Sen during last year
Id argue putting boom higher, during last ascension, they nearly made it to the finals and almost knocked out Bleed at the time with all 3 maps going the distance. The roster itself hasnt changed too much either, 3 of the 5 players from last ascension are still on the team. Id prolly put them at 5-6 place.
Other than, Id prolly agree with everything
I could totally see a heretics resurgence, Im guessing they struggled a bit during split 2 because they had to switch from their roster during split 1 to a different roster for shanghai and to a different one again during split 2 (also TH alongside GenG were the teams with the least amount of prep time after shanghai since they made it furthest).
I love the FPX boys too, h(c)oping that they make it out of groups with GenG. (Lysoar and AAAAY most underated players in all of china)
Bit of a stretch to assume that TH is currently the best EMEA team, though I am guessing that they have the highest peaks out of all the EU teams.
As for your argument that SEN and TH have time before champs to prac, well so do GENG and what you didnt mention is that Champions is in Seoul, meaning GENG
So all in all, in my personal opinion its pretty damn unlikely that theyll get grouped. Possible for sure but still not a likely scenario. Im guessing FPX are most probable to not make it out of that group, then depending on how in-form SEN are currently, they might get out of groups as second seed if they manage to beat a struggling TH.
Love the fact that its super unpredictable though, makes everything a lot more exciting imo
not sure if its necessarily a role thing, he had the same problem last year when they put him in high pressure games on duelist. Flashback goes crazy whenever he is on sentinel, I think Foxys agent pool is just super limited in general, dont think its the main reason for him underperforming
yeaa also proven by how well he did on T1 despite them only winning 2 games in split 2. Also Stax had been with the team for years at this point, removing him messed with their chemistry even more
pretty sure they confirmed that next season, there will just be a 3 month off season. Matches start in January and Champs is at the end of September I believe
Looking at the most recent games of DRX during Split 1 and Playoffs, I noticed that Foxy9 has been consistently underperforming in nearly all games.
In their last 7 games (5 from split 1 and 2 from playoffs), Foxy9 went positive in just one of them (+3 against ZETA).
In the other 6 games he went:
-12 against PRX
-7 against RRQ
-1 against Talon
-9 against DFM
-10 against Talon (they won this game 13-8 and 13-4 btw)
-11 against GenG
Considering all this, getting rid of Stax after Split 1 seems like a pretty poor decision, especially since Stax and Foxy share a few agents in their pool (Breach, Kayo).
I know that Stax didn't want to igl anymore, but he is still a very solid player who consistently performs better than Foxy. Its also probably easiest to learn how to play Sentinel agents (the agents that Foxy is primarily playing)
yea thats what i meant
they got a champs point from this match and since they beat TS who also have 7 points, they go over them
yea damn shame, I wouldnt be surprised if Boom wins Ascension though, they got close last year too
get Famouz in there, man needs to be in Tier 1, dunno who to replace tho since Jemkin is solid
I'll be looking forward to TS vs DRX (if TS make it that far). Whoever wins that qualifies and it'd be fun to see TS at an international again.
hard to argue that derke is better than woot, despite woot not being on duelist. If youre purely talking duelist, then sure I guess. Other than Cned and Sayf, no one even comes close, plus Miniboo hasnt performed as well as during kickoff and stage 1
GenG the type of team that can cope with that though, they get stronger the more teams they play
Honestly they might not even mind never winning a LAN since they generally always make it far, so the prize money tends to be good, plus by making it to most internationals, they grow their fanbase (ends up growing their bundle sales). Also their playstyle is fun to watch but likely just not enough to win a tournament.
Im guessing the decision making of the owner is largely based on what the fanbase thinks and wants, for example switching out Monyet for Jinggg was likely partially inspired by fan reception of monyet at the time and Jingggs popularity.
Sucks for the fans who really want to see them win internationally but as an owner, honestly probably doesnt get much better than that. Also their operating costs probably arent as high as the costs of other orgs, since they have such a small coaching staff (apparently Alecks has 2 analysts that work part-time, dont think that costs much though).
inexperienced though, the flashback sudden change really fucked them in terms of prep. They mostly got through groups based on the fundamentals but cracked when in playoffs against better prepared teams. Iirc flashback stepping back happened literally 2 days before the split started so Im not surprised
5-1 actually but dont see them beating TH or PRX tbh
what makes you think hes inbred?
Hell throw in BLG and TEC on a good day honestly
I think he was asking if liquid will make it to shanghai. Agreed though, teams like FPX, EDG and Trace should be favoured over TL
fuck what y0y wants honestly if it makes them win
Too early to say that Fnatic fell off, sure they didnt make Madrid but they have a good chance of making Shanghai. If they dont make that then ye I guess
Bro this is literally PRXs old comp that they played at madrid, GE just didnt know how to play the comp + they got outaimed
Edit: Mindfreak played viper instead of Kj but other than that its identical
bro knows he doesnt need to take this game serious
