Anyone with a brain knows GC will face some sort of discrimination. It is natural when majority of the league is one sex.
The question is: "Is GC's existence itself a motivator of further discrimination?"
With GC, these players have an additional "label" attached to them. This categorization makes it easier to discriminate or write them off.

Lastly, I think the best option is a mix of the two. Keep GC but the talented GC players should play on other teams for Challengers/VCT.
This could be difficult tho since the good t2 teams are the most discriminatory (i.e. it is usually a house of guy friends that formed a team)

exactly. it isn't FO for "female only." anyone technically can join GC. just have to fit their labels & even coaches sub in sometimes

if I was gm:
recruit coach who was previous valorant igl/pro and enjoys making lineups/strats (also hire an analyst/assistant coach)
scout the top five t2-t3 cracked players (each player should be able to reliably top frag) for the respective roles
one of those players will also fill igl role (must have high game sense AND cracked aim)
duelist must be able to play entry jett/raze AND hold angles with an awp
two other players besides igl should be familiar with calling and lurk plays
lastly, every player should be mechanically gifted enough to flex any agent and be familiar with each role;
HOWEVER, after defining roles, players will play their strongest agents in a limited pool
fire myself bc we don't need a gm if we have a coach
they didn't do a good job adapting the plot (killing medusa with iphone) and characters (annabeth not having blonde hair; too old)

he likes the EG roster. they were very prepared and everything flowed smoothly

Austin is the best city imo. It is growing like crazy rn and I’m not sure the city has the transportation infrastructure for it. I wouldn’t call it alienated; just a younger vibe
