it's always the same people i see coming to these banter tweets and seeing it as toxicity, no realistic team thinks what they say after the match, good teams talk after winning the tourney, bad teams talk after winning a game they shouldn't, because they feel pumped they won and don't know how they did

another issue, Higher elo usually lower sense is better since people stand still and don't run and gun, if ur like anywhere below diamond i'd go for a higher sense since people do actually just try to run and gun at those ranks still

Guard are heavily reliant on being individually good and can change their entire strat up in 0.5 seconds, they are basically a hard counter to Sen, Dapr, sick and zombs are 50/50 for aim, Tenz and shaz are good at aiming, Sen rely heavily on set pieces and everything to go their way, but they cannot deny anyone pushing now because of astra nerf, other meta's coming back, etc, they worked well when they knew what to do, now that there is different metas and they can't play set pieces anymore it looks like a pro team vs a ranked team tbh, they overpeek, overcommit and overall just try to win aim duels and that isn't how pro play works anymore

If your talking to me, the past proves it, Acend lost in champs to VK, People started strats against VK, Then Acend got a rerun which they then won due to VK "Cheating", At minimum it gives people less time to prepare and at worst, they already had strats against VK and had to put in way more effort to find ones vs acend or they just straight up didn't have any, Then acend pulled out a completely different comp with an omen in it and all 5 players just played phenomenally and couldn't miss a shot vs TL.
My point was that, With DRX, They feel stressed, multiple bigger, stronger, better teams to face, they need to counter strat all of them in their way, While they probably don't even know the first thing about them, Acend hadn't been in big tournaments for ages, no one knew what they were gonna do, WGS wasn't exactly a team which had "known strats" they came for the first vct then didn't even play again till this vct, no one really knew what to expect from them, and then wow, just like acend the bring out a ballsy ass comp which works perfectly, while also playing fantastic, that was the connections i was making between the two

posted about 3 years ago

they are new team like Acend in masters. Gambit, TL, etc, focused on counter stratting other teams rather than the teams which they didn't think would be an issue, Acend became an issue and no one had an answer for them because they didn't even expect to need to play them, probs same situation here

Neon is not hard to counter in terms of just ingame while u play, but it's not like hann is an insanely good neon, they are very mediocre with them imo, not really valid, DRX just don't see an entry because no matter whether stax gets 4 players, somehow 1 just gets the ace to win the round, it's a big mental situation rn for DRX

posted about 3 years ago

Nothing is really different. Other teams improved, Korea is becoming a lot more competitive and DRX just don't have an answer, even if they don't lose to strats, even if WGS completely fail somehow still 1 of WGS just clutches it up, U can't really counter that, WGS just playing well rn, Nothing changed with DRX
My thought is that Buzz's brim pick is to counter strat WGS probably, and if that's so and DRX are still getting destroyed, It's a scary situation for DRX

Navi is Ukrainian, Has spoken out about the war, FPX i believe is Russian or Chinese based but doesn't actually have any financial support or sponsors from Russia, No support from the Russian government, Difference with Gambit is that they have a Russian sponsor, Are based in russia and Vladimir putin has actively supported other russian esports teams when they won other events in the past (proof https://afkgaming.com/dota2/news/russian-president-vladimir-putin-congratulates-team-spirit-for-ti10-victory)
I know it's a thin line, but the basic difference is that Gambit have alignments within Russia and get financial support from Russian companies, Navi and FPX don't, The problem that Riot supposedly has with Russia is the government, and Russia's economy, due to the ukrainian conflict, not the everyday people, so as long as they drop the sponsor which they have done by competing under an international flag rather than Russia's, It drops support for Russia and financial gain doesn't lead to Russia.

I mean tbh, It's not particularly like it's an "easy" community in the first place, it's hard to stay sane here while playing val, as a white male with a normal accented voice that doesn't get called out, i get teammates in plat/diamond who don't even understand basic things like containment etc and it makes me wanna scream at them but somehow it's my fault for not calling something, nothing is ever the average valorant players fault, that is the issue, that is the community that has already been built, u act like the community is still building, it was still building when sentinels were on top of the world and teams had no idea how to play pro properly yet, that's when the community was building, the community has been built and the toxicity around it has been allowed, i'm not saying it's nice or it's right in anyway and i personally don't agree with it but it's how it is and it's gonna be hella hard to change about 15 million peoples minds as few people, I like people like AverageJonas etc, because i feel like he isn't that type however there are people like that and that's just how it will be, a lot of the pro scene is toxic as heck and that's just because it is sometimes, This is how Valorant is, it's how it has already been moulded,

the "mocking" the situation is because he doesn't see it as a big deal, personally like i don't, because i think of other people and not jason's actions and feelings, what is a girl actually gonna think if the game just gets dodged "oh someone dodged queue again", the situation from the girls pov is kind of that simple to me, if u go out of your way to find out jason dodged you for no reason i feel like that's going out of your way to find a reason to be annoyed at someone who doesn't even know who the hell u are, which to me is petty as hell

I said this above, but toxicity is in the pro scene too, there are scrims which get cancelled because male teams just ghost and start messing around in them, that happens. u just don't hear about it usually, it's why they have a girls only league, and why woman and men don't wanna compete against each other usually i think.

"sexism in esports has always been a huge issue", Sure, But that isn't down to people, That is down to the fundamental's passed down, u aren't sexist because u "just hate women" usually, u get it from family, genes, relatives, same with racism etc, it's not learned, it is taught, it's down to the people at the top, not the people accusing jason of sexism.

"but to be shit talked based on something you can't control is frustrating", Fair.
Also imma go make my dinner brb

The issue is like it's made out to be, an issue, but it's one persons issue, Sick may not be supporting it but like with the sinatra situation he didn't exactly support or deny support for him, he stayed neutral and i don't see anyone calling him out then for being a sympathiser to a "rapist", quotes because it wasn't proven.

So why is he involved with JasonR's situation when it's so much of a smaller and less meaningful issue, wow content creator mutes women in valorant "CANCEL", Pro player accused of rape "nah he's chill", Like tf is the consistency here, riot may not be consistent at punishment but neither are the community.

So many people wanna jump on jasonR for doing something which could literally for him be a good thing in reality if he is sexist, think about it for a second, if your sexist it's not your choice, u were grown that way to have the urge to hate women, usually imbred in you from birth, family or religion etc, that's the basics, same with pedophilia etc, some may like it, some may not, JasonR's choice if he is sexist actually minimalizes the issues caused, if he dodges or mutes if there is a woman, he cannot be sexist, if he dodges a game because there is a woman, who is it actually hurting in reality, the woman can queue again and then get another team, it's literally that simple, she is never gonna know why or give a shit why, I don't really understand why this is such a big deal tbh.

feel free to explain

I don't think u people understand Keloqz properly, He joined G2 to "prove himself" and then just flopped, then derailed to the point of being on "team heretics", That should tell u enough about how he cannot compete at high levels period.
He is hardly comfortable with any other agent in the game than jett and that's why he got dropped, he was literally just 1 agent, and it's not like he is yay or CneD who is actually insane at aiming, He holds angles with an operator and still loses fights, i've seen better holds from shazam in valorant competitive.

He reminds me of your typical immo/radiant instalock jett who gets mad that the whole team doesn't play around him and then gets mad that he can't perform because his team can't play with him when he's out making dumb plays and missing easy shots, I know it is hard to perform in pro play and stuff but if you are looking to pick up a consistent or flexible player Keloqz is not the person for u, He's just your typical no gamesense jett that cannot play anything else imo

No hate onto him he's doing well for being a pro period, but if he wants to be on a better team he's gotta realise his mistakes and correct himself.

They have held the treaty no matter the situations going on, using simple deduction, china are responsible for the genocide as well as burma, logically speaking if we are using the logic of russian players getting banned because the government are ass.

China and Burma signed a treaty of friendship and mutual non-aggression and promulgated a Joint Declaration on 29 June 1954, officially basing their relations on the Five Principles of Peaceful Co-existence. The relationship with China was under the spirit of the term "pauk-phaw", meaning kinship in Burmese.

Introducing initial testing of a new “deterministic map system” in LATAM. The goal of this system is to increase the variety of maps that players will encounter. If there are no issues, we plan to activate this system (explained below) for all regions within the next few days/week. Although this is LATAM region only, we are including it here as a heads up if we decide to expand. Stay tuned to the official VALORANT channels for updates.

Deterministic map selection follows 3 rules when picking a map, after players have been selected to play a match.
The system will look at all maps players have played over the last 5 maps for that mode.
The system will remove any maps that a player has played twice in the past 5 maps.
The system will pick the least played map.
If all maps have been removed due to the “Twice Played” rule, those maps will be added back to the pool and the least played map will be picked.

I don't think Gambit will be banned, Either way this is Valorant not cs, So i'm presuming they will be fine, they are all russian but i don't know if their org is predominantly russian or supported by the government there, i think it's pretty based in the U.S at this point, so i don't see why they'd be banned if Russia did get banned from Val too

https://twitter.com/luismmira/status/1498626422784638979 This is the reasoning behind it, presumably to prevent orgs who actively support or get support from russia's government out of competition, tbh it seems pretty ridiculous to me however i see the point
Adding more onto this, I mean particularly teams like Virtus pro since they have RUSSIAN sponsors and possibly Gambit because they have a russian telecom company as a sponsor, etc, it just seems like they are targetting everything russian with no remorse for people since russia had no remorse for Ukraine, In short terms, All is fair in love and war according to blast

Because they have literally 3 other people who can play Astra and cannot play other agents that shazam can, It'd just not really be a good idea, I think shazam should stop playing and become a coach, I feel like with someone like shazam as a coach another team would be insanely good because he honestly seems to be really good at advising and helping anyone no matter their situation in the game, i feel like u can bring a horse to water but u cannot make it drink, (which is the situation right now with Sentinels) if shazam found a team (the horse) which then ended up drinking they could end up being very strong as long as the individuals in it are good, At the end of the day, It'd be up to him however

I don't think the latest match was very fair tbh, both teams weren't equal, Optic were very clearly aiming better and tbh i feel like recently Tenz has been really overrated since everyone knows how to counter him now tbh, which is just by confusing him most of the time, he can aim well but he can't aim at someone behind him, if he got fair fights he is a good player but pro league isn't about fair fights it's about forcing the fights into your corner, and Tenz just doesn't fit into that box i don't think

Well, for Bind particularly, It's one of those maps where if u have a good setup, Like Optic, People struggle to get onto site let alone u needing to retake. (That's why Optic and SEN are so strong on it
For the jett pick, It's frankly quite useless on Bind apart from B site, and even so if tenz dies, There's little chance of that getting traded out, since the person is probably backsite, (Therefore he opened up literally 0 space and there was enough rotations to hold site anyway because rotations)
Optic hold 1 Elbow 1 somewhere like spawn or right side of site (From atk side) and 1 back and 2 a, possible 2 a 2 b and 1 spawn for rotations, and it's honestly quite simple, Bind is more of a gamesense map than a aim map, u need to play properly, aim can't just carry u imo.

Astra is overpowered on either side of Bind because of the suck, the possibility to just stop a push with a single piece of util is insane, With Viper there's insanely defensive walls u can use on A and good 1 ways on A, It sometimes makes A completely null and void if there's a good viper in the game (https://clips.twitch.tv/FrigidBeautifulBobaRaccAttack-jpA946BeIb6ZfXvN example of how overpowered viper can be on bind if u have a good viper)
With Raze she is so overpowered again because of the util, Bind is a map where u need to push after u get picks, if u have astra on 1 site and raze on the other u can completely hold up pushes until your entire team has rotated, that's why it's so defensive sided imo (Why u need to push just after u get picks is because if u don't u will get util stalled for like 5 centuries)

I feel like the only actual difference is their Synergy, Look at Gambit for example, They have amazing Synergy and it causes them to be able to clean up mistakes like clockwork and retake like clockwork, And causes them to not make mistakes themselves.

The reason i feel the guard is like this is because they probably actually like who they are playing with or are friends with most of the people on their team, Which surprisingly is unlike other teams, But i feel u need this factor to actually trust each other to play properly, to trade u, etc.

If u are in a 2v1, On The Guard and the teammate u have left is Trent, You are just baiting for him, That is that simple, IF u lose, u were just baiting for him, if u win u did a good play, i feel like that's the mental they take into it, either way u made a good play, they never let themselves get down and always know they can win, I don't doubt there's a bit of luck in it right now because they seem to be absolutely on fire, I think the C9 game vs them will be a big eye opener to how good they really are, C9 seems a worthy opponent for them.
