Honestly, being mostly a lurker in vlr what I got was that majority of the posts have been like this for a long, long time since I started using it to find match info. If anything, I think it just speaks to the moderation level here because I think the people you're complaining about are a dime a dozen on the net and in real life. I mean it's just a public forum with lots of traffic, going to have lots of loud, bad eggs and a few rare good ones just like anywhere else.

I think that just goes to show how spoiled we are as fans on how consistent PRX has been performing results-wise. Considering how Gen G has been playing, I don't really think it's really a 'bust' if they don't win here

Well deserved, this Gen G team is so good

Either, both teams are fantastic.

I mean it's VLR, EMEA slapped our region's teams in the playoffs so let them have their moment. Honestly thought TH was gonna be a huge problem in Madrid too, but this is just crazy to watch. Obviously wanted an NA team to win but gotta appreciate how cracked these mfers are. End of the day, good valorant is good valorant

ngl first time I've seen the 100T-shirts nickname, that one's actually pretty good

tbf GEN G smoked SEN in madrid the first time around too. I still have Gen G as the favorites to win it all, but you never know with how up and down teams are in valorant

Gen G is INSANE. Really hope they bounce back and keep on wow'ing us

Sure we don't benefit directly in terms of viewership experience from the get-go, but I'm sure Riot is thinking of longevity here and they can't just base the E-sports scene solely in the present (because they're still a business). Losing interest from relatively larger regions can't be good for them on any angle, and it makes me think about how CS is basically Europe-only at this point. Sure, I would love to see every single team have to qualify regardless of region so we get the best of the best, but it's probably not practical or beneficial to go on both extremes.

that's fair

Regions can't really get better if they aren't given chances to play at big LANs. I think with how big of a market China is, it only makes sense for them to be given chances to grow their Valorant scene. EDG already gave us a glimpse of how exciting they can be in the past, so it's not all bad giving them spots. They already have some nice individual talent, they just need to get more people on the coach/analyst side to improve the non-mechanical areas of their gameplay.

Honestly if that actually happens fucking good for them, that would be an upset for the ages and would be fun

Well if they rush B with 0 brain and EDG can't stop it, that's on EDG. Why make some over complicated strat when the other team can't stop it? PRX have aim demons on their team, they're just playing to their strengths with really good fighting intuition. They also actually probably have protocol, it's just not some 3-page long formula bullshit that's too complicated for no reason. It's not a chess match, you need to actually execute and close out the rounds even if you have a good plan, so hats off to PRX for having the better execution this series.

It just gives me a headache to see people from my same region crying about stuff like losing to judges again and again, then excuse getting outplayed by calling others "cringe." Like look at the players you're fans of, none of them are making excuses like that. Maybe stop giving the players you support a bad name by acting out of pocket, right?

I just want to enjoy high level valorant, not a bunch of people crying about excuses. So many good teams in each region but fans just get blinded by the mountain of salt they generate on their own.

NRG underperformed and Bilibili played well enough to win. Let's just stop being sore losers and just appreciate when other teams play well. No need to stoop to lowest denominator fans and bitch when our teams don't do well. GG Bilibili!
