The idea of having volunteer moderators would be great; the problem would be where to announce that there are open positions. I, for example, would easily apply to help the site. I’ve been thinking about this for a while: the CS stats and news site (HLTV) is much better than VLR. They update players’ photos much faster and have a global ranking that includes teams from all over the world. I might be ignorant here, but at least the player photo updates could be improved. For example, aspas still has the photo from when he played for LOUD. It shouldn’t be that hard to change it on the site. Besides that, they could add clips of the best plays from a match on the game’s page for any tournament. Also, the general player rating should be shown instead of separating it by agents, and they could include the cumulative season stats on players’ profiles. I understand that creating a global ranking might be a lot of work, but the other suggestions don’t seem that hard to implement and would greatly enhance the site, making it more complete and enjoyable to use.
