As the 2024 VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) season comes to a close, the competitive scene is abuzz with speculation regarding the future of star player Erick "aspas" Santos. Known for his incredible mechanics and clutch potential, aspas has been a key player in LOUD’s rise in the international VALORANT scene. However, multiple sources indicate that he may be considering a new destination for the 2025 VCT season.
Possible Destinations:
Team Liquid
Status: Strong Interest
Details: Sources close to the organization suggest that Team Liquid is in active discussions with aspas, hoping to bolster their roster with his explosive playstyle. Aspas' aggressive Jett and Raze play would complement Liquid’s strategic approach, potentially forming a new power duo with Dustyn "niesoW" Durnas.
Potential Contract: Reportedly in the range of $1.2 million over two years, with performance incentives that could push the total value higher.
Sentinels
Status: Serious Consideration
Details: The North American organization is looking to rebuild after a disappointing 2024 season. With a large fan base and the backing of high-profile sponsors, Sentinels could offer aspas both financial benefits and a chance to be the face of a new era. They are reportedly looking to build a roster around aspas’ strengths.
Potential Contract: A one-year, high-stakes contract with options for extension, valued at around $800,000 with a significant signing bonus.
Karmine Corp
Status: Potential Dark Horse
Details: While not as high-profile as some of the other teams in the mix, Karmine Corp is reportedly willing to invest heavily in a star player for 2025. With their recent entry into the VCT franchising model, they are seeking to establish a competitive edge, and acquiring aspas would be a major statement. The organization is offering a flexible role to accommodate his playstyle.
Potential Contract: A three-year contract valued at up to $1.5 million, with provisions for content creation and streaming, making it an attractive long-term option.
Conclusion: Aspas' potential move could reshape the competitive landscape for the 2025 VCT season, with each organization presenting unique opportunities. While Team Liquid offers a well-established roster with strong synergy, Sentinels presents a chance to become the face of a legendary rebuild. Meanwhile, Karmine Corp's offer stands out as a bold, long-term investment. Fans and analysts alike eagerly await an official announcement, which could set the tone for the next season's battles.

Chet and Bonkar walked out of the scrim room together, the tension from earlier easing into a comfortable silence. The sun was just starting to dip below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the streets outside the training facility. Bonkar glanced sideways at Chet, a teasing smirk playing on his lips.
“So, you want to grab something to eat?” he asked, nudging Chet lightly with his elbow. “There’s a McDonald's nearby. I hear they’ve got a deal on chicken nuggets.”
Chet chuckled, shaking his head. “Yeah, sure. Let’s see if your taste in fast food is as solid as your strategies.”
They made their way to the McDonald's down the street, the neon lights buzzing overhead as they pushed through the glass doors. Inside, the place was nearly empty, except for a lone figure behind the counter, head down, messing with the register. It took Chet a second to recognize him.
“Yay? What are you doing here?” Chet asked, raising an eyebrow.
Yay looked up, flashing them a quick grin. “Gotta make some extra cash during the off-season. Esports doesn't cover everything, you know?” He gave a little shrug, then leaned forward, his tone more serious. “So, what’ll it be, guys?”
Bonkar scanned the menu for a moment before glancing at Chet with a playful grin. “Twenty-piece chicken nuggets, please. And, uh, some extra sweet and sour sauce.”
Chet rolled his eyes but couldn’t hide the small smile tugging at his lips. “Yeah, same for me.”
Yay rang up their order, handing them a tray piled high with nuggets and sauces. “Enjoy, boys. And don’t cause too much trouble, alright?”
Chet shot him a mock salute before he and Bonkar took their tray to a corner booth. As they settled in, the banter from before faded into a quieter, more intimate silence. They munched on the chicken nuggets, their knees bumping under the table every so often, each touch sending a jolt through Chet’s chest.
At some point, Bonkar reached out, swiping a bit of sauce off the corner of Chet’s mouth with his thumb. Chet froze, his breath catching as their eyes locked, the air between them thickening once more.
“You got something on your face,” Bonkar murmured, his voice low and teasing, but there was a deeper undertone there too—something that made Chet’s pulse quicken.
“Yeah, well... thanks,” Chet replied, his voice barely more than a whisper. He leaned in, closing the distance between them, his lips brushing against Bonkar’s before pressing more firmly.
Bonkar responded immediately, his hand coming up to cup Chet’s cheek, pulling him closer. The kiss deepened, soft and slow at first, but then more urgent, as if all the rivalry, the frustration, the unspoken words from earlier melted away into this single moment.
They broke apart only when the doorbell jingled, signaling a new customer. Chet glanced over, his face flushed, then back at Bonkar, who looked just as breathless, a crooked grin on his face.
“So,” Bonkar said, leaning back in his seat, his voice light but his gaze intense. “How’s that for a reality check?”
Chet laughed, shaking his head as he reached for another nugget. “Yeah, okay. You win this one, Bonkar. But don’t get used to it.”
Bonkar’s smile softened as he leaned forward again, resting his hand over Chet’s on the table. “We’ll see about that, Chet.”
And there, in the corner booth of a nearly empty McDonald's, under the fluorescent lights, they found a little bit of peace—just two coaches, a tray of chicken nuggets, and the beginning of something new.
honestly replacing him with jamppi would probably have minimal impact considering how crazy all the other players are
mostly because every player he works with talks very well of him
icl the frag movies they made for verno and mada were terrible
keep your eyes out for part 2 when they have seggs in chicken nugget cosplay
Chet Singh, the former head coach of NRG’s Valorant roster, paced the sidelines of the scrim room. He couldn’t help but feel the heat rising in his chest, a mix of frustration and jealousy. It had been a few weeks since he stepped down from his role, and already there was a new figure in the limelight: Bonkar.
He watched from the back of the room, arms crossed, as Bonkar took over the team's strategy session with a quiet confidence. The team seemed to hang on his every word, the atmosphere brimming with an energy that Chet couldn’t deny had been missing for a while. It grated on him—how quickly the players adapted, how effortlessly Bonkar stepped into his shoes.
During a break, Chet approached Bonkar, his voice sharper than he intended. “Think you can just waltz in and turn everything around, huh?”
Bonkar turned, surprised at the bitterness in Chet’s tone. He raised an eyebrow, crossing his own arms in a mirror of Chet's stance. “I didn’t ask for your approval, Chet. But I don’t mind the extra feedback.”
Chet scoffed, rolling his eyes. “Feedback? More like a reality check. This team has been through hell. They’re not just some up-and-coming squad you can mold overnight.”
Bonkar’s smile was infuriatingly calm. “I know what I’m doing, Singh. Maybe you should trust that, or... is this really about the team?”
Chet's breath caught for a second. He wasn’t expecting the directness, and Bonkar seemed to notice, taking a step closer, closing the distance between them. For a moment, the air thickened, the tension no longer entirely about the game. Bonkar’s voice dropped, quieter now. “You think I don’t understand how much you care about this team? I see it. But maybe, you could give me a chance too.”
Chet's heart skipped a beat, the annoyance giving way to something more vulnerable. He met Bonkar's eyes, realizing that beneath all the professional rivalry, there was respect—perhaps even admiration. His anger melted into a sigh, and he ran a hand through his hair, glancing away. “Yeah, well... I guess I never was good at letting go.”
Bonkar’s expression softened, a slight smile tugging at the corner of his lips. He reached out, a tentative hand brushing against Chet’s arm. “Maybe you don’t have to.”
Chet's breath hitched as he looked back at Bonkar, the words hanging between them like a risky callout. There, in the shadowed corner of the NRG scrim room, amidst strategy notes and tactical maps, the rivalry melted away, leaving a spark of something new. It wasn’t about who was the better coach anymore—it was about the strange, undeniable pull that had formed between them.
Chet couldn’t help but smile, a small, reluctant thing. “Yeah, okay. Maybe I’ll stick around. See what you’ve got.”
Bonkar chuckled, the sound low and warm, and for the first time, Chet didn’t mind that someone else was leading the team. As they stood together, shoulder to shoulder, it was clear that the next match wasn’t the only challenge they were ready to face.
