QCK on viper is aids icl and tuyz is such a good controller than removing him from omen sounds insane. And you are right about lacking individual prowess, that is also why they avoid running him on agents needing that, like jett and raze. That being said, I think he might fit neon pretty well since it will force him to be aggressive and he can really put other teams in an uncomfortable spot, which should give him an edge. The roles cannot be changed imo, just need QCK to lock in really hard.

Honestly speaking, a big factor behind prx winning is the individual form, and rn they look a little worse than last year. They still create the chaos, they just don't thrive in it as much anymore. Not excusing monyet though, but I do think prx will figure it out as they already stated in the interviews that they don't care about winning here as much, and pacific looks considerably more free than other regions except China

Except each teams don't have the same odds, and by such each groups don't either. Champs 2023, group d had 4 teams Navi, liquid (maybe not as much), Loud and DRX, and all 4 were good enough to get through, but because of their groups they didn't qualify over other teams like EDG, Fut, Billi Billi. Now this on paper sounds harder, but is also extremely unfair to the good teams getting grouped with other good teams.

And since we are statistically talking about odds here, then again because the wider the group catalogs get, the worse teams get because usually there are only 2 teams that can hang with each other in a region. Now it doesn't look like that, but in the past it has. Americas last year was Loud and EG; EMEA was just FNC, Pacific was just PRX. So when you add worse teams, you basically get freebies in the system that give an advantage to any top tier team that ends up facing them. So when you do your odds calculation, it is not a simple even odds case, some teams will have higher odds, and others with lower, which will be treated as a free +1

You are lowkey really harsh on fpx, they may not have looked strategically deep but individually they are a good team. Really unlucky to have faced KC and compared to the freebies in masters and champs before, they are better imo

heavy cypher meta and Loud hates sentinels too and avoid it as much as possible. If you build your team around what the meta is, and not what the best fit for the team is then you won't go far. Yoru and Neon are not any more meta than last year, jett and raze have not been nerfed, kj's nerf was only the turret mainly and cypher is really strong, but the yoru comps aren't just a way to beat it, otherwise youd see a lot of sovas too. Plus, neon on sunset is such a troll pick on paper but TH make it look like the best comp. These comps rely on individuals thriving and being dominant on a comfort agent, and if for paper rex its 3 duelists no ini, then thats it.

I may not think 3 duelist is the best comp, but that is irrespective of the players themselves. Their phoenix on pearl was also questionable, reyna on ascent and bind, yoru on bind, many comps have been questionable. As long as they as a team think theyre fine balling out with it, I'd much rather see them play well on an off meta team than get smacked around trying too hard to fit the meta imo

The only way is have to tenz play an aggressive role again, which means you need to find a suitable replacement for lets say kayo, who can flash, but also get away in case of danger. And then on ascent, not much can be done, zekkinho just needs to be more consistence with the op
