Carlos said a lot of controversial stuff and doubles down on things. He's just proud in a lot of ways when criticise don't want to let society dictate things. Also keep in mind how much different ppl were 10 years ago, there were racist sexist homophobic jokes thrown out all the time in gaming and toxicity in general. What ppl mean by w is not really by his character rather by the insane amount of work he put into G2 and developing the early esports scene.
He's one of the few person that really help pushed esports into becoming more liked and watch by mainstream public. In both league cs and even valorant he made it hype to watch g2 play because of the trash talk or stuff g2 would do before hand. Idk if anyone remember but when SEN was dominant G2 and SEN had a lot of trash talking before that created a pretty hype and intense match on lan.

If it was any other mistake could have gone another way but sadly this was too much. He must really love G2 as an org to step down. It's really the only way G2 as an org and brand can be heal in the publics eyes. I've followed league since beginning and Carlos really did make G2 into such a big European esports brand. He created a lot of rivalry in LEC and worlds scene cause g2 are seen as a villian in esports. Really he has done a lot for esports. Seeing him leave is a bit surreal for me.

A lot of it is that every team adapt and change and they actually have good practice and work ethics. Back then the scene was so young SEN players just smurfing games with their teamwork synergy and previous talents and experience. Their coach and igl need change for team to succeed.
I was an og sen fan during the sen vs tsm rivalry post beta Era. Trust me I've seen this roster at its peak and lowest. Shazam and coaching staff has to change. They can't wing it anymore need good structure and direction. Same with their players. Otherwise they'll be clown on in franchising match.
