People forget esports is about entertainment at the end of the day not who is better.

It is well hidden because usually the best players win out but people forget that the money that moves all of this is based more on socials metrics than anything based in competition.

This is why organizations consistently pass over young talent who don't have any clout or socials presence for older talent that has built a brand of some sort, it is all about investors and trying to stay afloat for them, they could give less of a fuck who is good compared to who is moving the needle for their brand. SR moves the needle for their brand and that's why they get paid, they are the most popular and well-known gc team hands down. There could be 1000 players equal or better to them and it wouldn't matter because their socials presence clears pretty much anyone who isn't t1 or high t2 anyway
