This entire thread seems to be extremely emotionally driven. I think its better to look at this more objectively and talk about the real issue… if this deal is financially driven which it seems like it is, if the sea region doesn’t have enough sponsorship, commercial deals to stay afloat then this deal with Soop is maybe the one the fill the gap. riot games is also probably looking for long term sustainable and whats best for the regions esport health. If this deal can provide the financial and infrastructural support necessary to grow the sea region, its probably a strategic sacrifice in the short term for the greater good of the competitive scene. Instead of looking at this as a move that prioritizes one region over another, it might be more productive to consider how it could actually help SEA esports build up the resources it needs to thrive long term
