• ascension teams rack up champs points with everyone over the year
• 2 ascension teams with the least points have to go play in ascension playoffs and either make top 2 or get relegated
• if either of the bottom 2 teams has a positive or equal head to head record against an ascension team with more points than them they can challenge them to a bo3 series.
• if the lose they get insta relegated, if they win the team they beat has to play in the ascension playoffs instead of them.

Each region has 4 ascension slots, at the end of the year the 2 ascension teams with the least champs points have to play in the ascension playoffs, with the top 2 teams qualifying. The catch is that if either of the bottom 2 teams have a positive head to head record against one of the top 2 ascension teams in their region they can challenge them to a best of 3 series with serious map ban disadvantage (if they somehow have a positive record against both they challenge the team that has less points) if they win this series the team they challenged has to play in ascension instead for them, but if they lose they are automatically relegated and the top 3/4 teams from ascension are brought up instead.

Would you consider 2022 Brazil or 2022 APAC stronger? At that point loud owned everyone but everyone else in brazil.was kinda cheeks while APAC.was fielding a ton of solid contender teams but just wasn't strong enough to push it over the ledge (APAC is a region ik but thought it was a good comparison)

Like is it better to be able to field 5 players who can win it all but everyone else shit or be able to field like 4 teams who could hold their own against high level competition but aren't quite good enough to go all the way even as a superteam
