Sentinels super overachieved this year. There's no guarantee they will get to this spot again, but even with the hype from the offseason and AFVL the expectations from the fans should never have been "This team is the favorite to win Champions". Each player did very well this year, and I'm very happy they got a high placement in champions. However, the expectations SHOULD be jumping up next year, assuming they keep this same core. Perhaps more planning around the format of the VCT will do them well next year, this year's format honestly was kinda dogshit lmao. Too many map rotation changes midseason and just an overall congested schedule for games with little breathing room. Happy for Heretics as well, lets see how far they can push their run.
The only other team I saw doing this was Tyloo, is it actually common for these franchised teams to do open tryouts like this?

Why does no one mention Kr1stal in these types of talks when it comes to replacing an IGL? I could see him having a JohnQT - type of impact on so many different EMEA teams but he's just been smurfing in Tier 2 for the last two seasons. (Currently in CN tier 2)

I predict the two maps that Lev win are Icebox and Abyss. I think Lev leave it open and bring suspect they bring a different comp from the regional playoffs which sounds crazy but not out of the question.
Edit - "It" being abyss, they've been banning it second a lot of the time but I see it being the decider in this series unless G2 don't ban ascent
They're not a bad team at all, but I think of the top 8 teams in Champions they are in the bottom half. If it does end up being Fnatic vs Lev in the lowers I would favor Fnatic. But Team Heretics just has another level at internationals that they are firing on and as long as they don't piss off Derke they should be fine. Lowkey, if it weren't for Derke idk if Fnatic even make it past KRU. I just see them getting anti-stratted heavy in both matchups.
