So today I queued into competitive and ran into this micspammer from VLR. He told me he recognized my name but he never said who he was. 1st half he dropped 2 kills on chamber. 2nd half I heard his mom call for him to finish his algebra homework so he afk’d (without actually leaving the game). His mic was permanently on, so I heard him chewing with his mouth open. I guess he watches cocomelon while he studies, good for him. When the game was over he dropped every slur possible within 5 seconds and then added me begging for a 1v1.

people called prx’s style of gameplay “cringe” because it was fast paced and different, therefore making EMEA and NA fans upset because their comps felt cheesy and their wins didn’t feel earned. it’s a dumb take because the best teams should be able to win against these “cringe comps”, but them losing to prx in copenhagen meant the fans had to cope with a false narrative.

now that prx lost, all NA and EMEA’s hate is being channeled into hate threads even though prx and their fans are pretty tame in comparison. just toxic people finding a reason to be toxic.

tl;dr: their play style made people view their success as unearned, and prx getting grouped at champs makes their hate feel “justified”

damn, im hoping. this is the first i'm hearing of this so hopefully the roster stays together. paper rex likely won't be picked up for franchising but i hope someone in that slot picks them up

No matter who you support or what region you're from, you can't ignore or downplay the interesting comps and fun moments PRX brought to competitive valorant. They weren't scared to define the meta, despite being from a less-respected region. Even though they might be gone, their innovation in the meta will be felt for years to come.

Forsaken brought Yoru to the international stage and MADE HIM WORK.
Benkai entertained millions with his costumes at every match.
Mindfreak proved himself to be a top 5 controller player in the world.
Jinggg is one of the few pros who still plays Reyna in 2022.
d4v41 filled in the gaps and made all their individual chaos cohesive.

They were the first team outside of NA that I genuinely enjoyed watching. I love each of their individual personalities and they all seem like really humble players. I have nothing but the utmost respect for all of them.

This is probably the last time we'll see this roster all together (since Jinggg is leaving), so I just wanna say thank you for the memories. nt PRX <3

boom was a lot of hopium, but i've supported prx since before iceland, i fell in love with their yoru comp and stuck around for their individual personalities. shame to hear that they might not play together next year, i haven't really liked a team as much as them before
