all seriousness though, all teams have something they should be proud of. valorant seems to be in a really good place in terms of the talent coming from all regions.

NA, a region that was famously called a 1 team region had 100T put up good games against Fnatic and DRX, 2 teams that are familiar to LANs, and XSET played so well this tournament, surpassing mine and most people’s expectations.
SA had LEV really step up, they stomped groups (and shit on PRX sadly)
EMEA, as much shit as I give them, really did step up to win their 2nd seed decider matches in groups, something that really takes a good mental fortitude.
KR may be a 1 team region, but DRX stepping up in Champs and placing 3rd is HUGE for the region and next year we’ll see more KR talent showcased.
JP had an unfortunate showing cause of the TENN shit, all good though
CN had their first showing internationally, which is fucking HUGE.
APAC had an not great showing, but BOOM took a map off Optic, XERXIA had a close series with XSET, and PRX had a close series with TL. Someone’s gotta be the loser and they took it in stride.

I’m really excited for the 30 team tournament, it’ll show how the worst teams in any region match up against other regions top dogs.

I don’t think that’s the takeaway here. FPX beat a lot of good teams in Copenhagen (including optic). same way how LOUD and Optic beat really good teams in Iceland
