Holy shit, what a comeback
JP really did get better fast

posted about 3 years ago

I'm guessing GE will be able to at least get past F4Q, they're trying too hard to reinvent themselves with a play style similar to Gambit rather then imitating SEN's play style like they were before Berlin

Beating NU also seems plausible now, especially if Hyeoni has an off day like yesterday, but I think that match will be a lot harder to win and the entire roster has to be popping off (kinda like Full Sense did)

imo:
F4Q 40% vs GE 60%
NU 80% vs GE 20%

posted about 3 years ago

If I were GE, I'd ban split against F4Q
they're scary on that map if Bunny uses Raze instead of Jett

posted about 3 years ago

PRX 2-0 Nth
DWG 2-1 BOOM
GE 2-0 F4Q

APAC is the most fun LCQ region to watch, change my mind

posted about 3 years ago

KR has been getting shit on like crazy this event too

when GE lost 13-0 to PRX, GE fans deflected making stuff like "DK laugh thread"

when F4Q lost we got threads on how "KR has fallen off" and "KR overrated"

when NU lost we got like five 13-0 threads and 1/2 of all the comments on the page are literally '13-0s'

now people are using KR's results in the LCQ to justify why VS aren't actually good and how they just luckily "antistratted EU" in Berlin

You gotta realize that you're not the only fanbase getting shit on atm
The truth is that every region gets shit on at some point or another, and you just gotta live with it

GE 2-0
F4Q have been looking terrible this entire tournament and I don’t even see them getting a map tbh

Would love to be proven wrong though and will still be cheering for them

When u say “I guess Korean teams thought it would be an easy slot” you imply that they believed they were by far better then SEA teams and what they deserved by getting destroyed, making it sound like you believe they have large egos

I can assure you that even if the fans may have large egos, the KR teams are incredibly humble

posted about 3 years ago

KR teams did not think it would be a free win

NU and F4Q prepared but got aim diffed badly
DWG did not expect to be in the event and; therefore, had very little time to prepare + they were literally in the middle of a roster change

It was not an ego thing

posted about 3 years ago

Yeah, not sure why everyone is being so toxic

Tournaments not over and the region in general is getting stronger overall by playing each other and building off of each other’s strats

Gl to all the teams left <3

posted about 3 years ago

“All they did was strat diff EU teams”
that’s literally the most tactically strong region imo ;-;

posted about 3 years ago

This is the worst NU have looked all year

They can’t win a postplant
Pistol rounds get thrown and bonuses are pretty much impossible for them to convert on

Nt NU, but this was a pretty poor performance all around

Even if you aren’t, you were a fake fan

posted about 3 years ago

For me it’s a no brainer to put him on Jett though

His Skye has not been performing well at all and while his Jett is potentially the best in KR

He wouldn’t single handily win the game but it would make a massive difference having a player not at 70 adr on an agent he doesn’t feel comfortable on

posted about 3 years ago

They look scary right now but NU also look decently out of form imo

Just put the boy on Jett, please ;-;

posted about 3 years ago

Idk if NU are saving Hyeoni’s Jett for a bigger match, but please don’t use it too late

I don’t want to see him end up like Lakia in Berlin

posted about 3 years ago

Most of the list seems reasonable, but you should give more credit to the Japanese teams imo

I feel like a lot of people are ignoring the fact that Fennel and Reject both played very respectable games against the SEA teams

posted about 3 years ago

I’m predicting a DK 2-0
SamuraiDeeper has been looking pretty unstoppable recently tho so there’s definitely upset potential

posted about 3 years ago

I’ll make another thread once the tournament ends, since I think it will be interesting to see how people’s opinions change in a week :)

posted about 3 years ago

What are the odds teams like TNL, VS, NU, DWG, and F4Q participate?

Also this is great for the scene since we’re yet to see such a large scale open qualifier in KR, if I’m not mistaken
Will hopefully help teams, like DWG, scout out upcoming talent

You have to make an account and hit save to share your tier list directly from the website

posted about 3 years ago

I'm really excited to watch Sengoku play, but I think it's a little early to put them that high

DWG, GE, and F4Q should also be higher imo, even if recent results make them look bad

I'm pretty bad at ranking SEA and SA so I'm sorry if it's a bad list :<
(order in tier doesn't matter btw)

link's broken for me

Since people have been ranking Asian teams a lot recently, I decided to make a tier list: https://tiermaker.com/create/asian-teams-1228666

Share your lists below (also tell me if I missed any major team)

posted about 3 years ago

1 - VS
2 - PRX
3 - NU
4 - CR
5 - TNL

X10 and TS are too hard to rate atm so I’m just going with safe picks

posted about 3 years ago

Sad to see people forgetting the entire reason why LG are even in the LCQ

Without Yaboidre, I doubt they would have made it this far
Dudes just having a rough game, give him a break

posted about 3 years ago

He's apparently playing it on other maps

posted about 3 years ago

They looked a lot more reformed then before and Seoldam was on one
Bunny also looked a little uncomfortable on Jett, but that’s just imo

Could definitely see them giving PRX a hard time

posted about 3 years ago

Regions just got better, KR didn’t fall off
VS and NU are still as dominant as ever as well and 2022 will see more orgs like Lunatic-hai and Ghibli enter the scene
Right now it seems bad, but i think the region’s doing fine atm

posted about 3 years ago

Both teams have been looking great recently
Exciting match, I’m predicting a 2-0 for PRX tho

posted about 3 years ago

This is just sad
If win: laugh at other region
If lose: laugh at another region for losing to our region

*APAC LCQ

posted about 3 years ago

Fennel and Reject have actually played a lot better then I expected
Maybe JP is starting to pick up on some stuff after international play

posted about 3 years ago

SamuraiDeeper is insane with the operator

posted about 3 years ago

Probably
I don't want to sound ungrateful, since I know that the production team are trying their best, but why wouldn't Riot just go with a better company?
The LCQ production should at least be on par with Challengers' production imo

^^^

posted about 3 years ago

oh dang, is there a source for this?
I think it would be kind off odd imo for the SA LCQ to have a prize pool but for the NA/EMEA/APAC LCQ's to not

posted about 3 years ago

True, they do not have an easy job this time around
Hopefully by the end of the tournament, the production team can polish out the issues and ease the load on the commentators

posted about 3 years ago

I don't like to be negative, but holy shit this production is unacceptable and straight up embarrassing coming from Riot

Random music, game sound quality issues, terrible spectators

Hopefully all the money went to the prize pool, because it 100% didn't go into production :/

posted about 3 years ago

tbh I just want to see an Asian scene become competitive with EU/NA/BR long-term, whether that is KR, JP, SA, SEA, or even CN

posted about 3 years ago

I know a lot of ppl probably don't care so you can just exit this thread, but I'd like to share how 2022 will be a big year for the KR scene :)

Organizations:
-around 10 orgs are rumored to be entering the scene (some major, some minor), hopefully will stabilize the scene enough for there to be atleast 10 consistent teams
-small orgs already in Valorant (like NU) are starting to actually get sponsors

Players:
-lots of insane OW pros have the potential to transfer over to Valorant in 2022
-around 1-2 more superteams can be formed out of just the current players

Popularity:
-the game is back in the top 10 most popular pc games in KR again, which I assume is because of VS success
-viewership still isn't there, but it's getting a little better ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Format:
-KR might get another direct slot
-Riot hopefully will stop with the pointless seeding stages and actually implement double elimination into the format
-potential for more 3rd party tournaments to be held in East Asia, with China entering the scene (CN + KR + JP)

Anyways, thanks for sticking around and reading this, hope everyone has a great day/night :<

posted about 3 years ago

They still have a long journey ahead of them if they want to qualify for Champions
Still a lot of threats out there in the APAC LCQ, such as PRX, F4Q, NU, and a potential rematch with DWG

wishing GE luck tho <3

posted about 3 years ago

You’ll probably never get to watch TNL then because they always get screwed over by their bracket ;(

They literally were seeded against VS all 3 stages, and since KR never has double elimination, they were always eliminated early

posted about 3 years ago

Personally I would put TNL at least above F4Q (they beat DWG 13-7, 13-8 and had a closer game then the score showed against VS)
X10 also should be considered (though it's hard to judge the team atm)

posted about 3 years ago

The Red Bull Home Ground #2 and the ICEBOX Northern Classic tournament will keep the site at least a little alive

posted about 3 years ago

Great match, kept me on the edge of my seat
All the players have such crisp aim
Astralis to playoffs!

posted about 3 years ago

NA - TSM
EU - Giants
APAC - TNL
SA - 9z

posted about 3 years ago

I think F4Q are comparable to DWG but TNL are far better then them

TNL destroyed DWG (13-7, 13-8) and showed promising plays in their game against VS, which was closer then the score showed because of VS individual clutches

TNL >>> DWG

posted about 3 years ago

Idk about every Korean team, especially since:

TNL >> DWG
F4Q > DWG
VS >>>>> DWG
NU (with Hyeoni) >>> DWG

Right now I think they have potential to beat F4Q but TNL, NU, and VS atm should 2-0 them cleanly

Actually the dumbest thing I’ve read on this website in a while
