Who are most of these people? I miss the OGs

There’s a fine line between losing stars and getting banned

posted about 2 years ago

Well the bar is set highest for Fnatic, OpTic, Loud, and Paper Rex, so probably one of those four. Everyone else is kind of a dark horse.

If S8UL don’t enter Valorant, this is probably the only chance at franchising for SA

Nah bro, Copenhagen is still better cause the NA LCQ hype is only going to last for a max of four maps

posted about 2 years ago

Now that most the teams are finalized, what LCQ are you most excited for? For me:

  1. NA
  2. APAC North
  3. EMEA
  4. APAC South
  5. South America

Replace Kanpeki and Dapr with tarik and Hiko and you have the ultimate stream team

That’s what I thought he meant too

I'd guess that the DACH team gets a bye since Fokus won the last VRL, if they are still using the same format

posted about 2 years ago

Their parent company runs NSG, they’ve been invested since day one, have strong connections to Riot through the LCK, have good financials, and a pretty big fanbase

posted about 2 years ago

I’d replace FaZe with T1

Isn't this a good sign though? We already knew they had terrible mental, but the point of the video is to let it all loose so that they can just think about winning and put their losses behind them. They seem hungrier then ever before to win too.

Odds of your hot takes coming true imo, highest to lowest:

  1. PRX lower bracket run
  2. XSET places higher than OpTic
  3. XERXIA performs
  4. LOUD will be grouped
  5. DRX will get grouped by xerxia
  6. LEVIATHAN will go on a dream run like kru in champs
  7. FPX TOP 3 even with subs
posted about 2 years ago

You're right, that's kind of a weird situation for a game to potentially be a pointless match for one team and a qualifying match for the other

posted about 2 years ago

Sylvan is smokes player who often top frags, he's just a bit worse than MaKo and definitely deserves a better team
Harry is a decent sentinel player who has played for T1 and TNL

posted about 2 years ago
  1. DRX
  2. NTH
  3. PRX

That's what you guys said last time as you watched Liquid and G2 get shit on by Zeta and PRX

when will this forum learn? they arent good
they always destroy their region and always look the best they have ever looked but its not true, the get the wins against dogshit teams but they still havent fixed whats fundamentally wrong with their playstyle

REMEMBER PLATINUM DOGS FROM VLR, WINNING IN YOUR SHITTY TIER5 REGION IS NOT LOOKING GOOD, IF EVERY1 IS BAD AND NO1 IS GIVING YOU A CHALLENGE YOU CANT SAY A TEAM LOOKS GOOD, DOMINATING IN APAC/BRAZIL/LATAM IS EASY, YOU DONT LOOK GOOD FOR IT, ITS THE BARE MINIMUN IF YOU EVEN WANT A CHANCE TO COMPETE WITH EMEA/NA TEAMS

There are a few more like him, mostly the toxic Singaporean users and the die hard PRX fans

posted about 2 years ago

Not even the most deranged post I’ve seen yet, DRX live rent free in quite a few EMEA/APAC fans heads

CN teams are getting overhyped right now by people who have never watched the scene, it’ll be like OCE or SA in APAC. They have phenomenal players but no team play at all and continue to use incredibly outdated strats. Players like whz look insane since they get away with anything on CN, but struggle when they actually face a team that knows how to trade, like EDG or KONE.
EDG can probably beat a weaker KR/JP team but would have to get incredibly lucky to beat Northeption, Damwon, or On Sla2ers (if they come back to form). I’d like to be wrong and see EDG demolish some teams, but don’t get your hopes up.

This match decides the 2nd CN slot, good luck to both teams

Lowel hasn't even come close to touching tier 1 Valorant for over a year

Yeah, I expected him to perform better on DK

Zeta, I would rather see them in Copenhagen then KRU

Definitely!

There are still 309 mass shootings in just half a year. I doubt many suicides, accidental discharges, or self defense cases fall under that category. 309 is still a worrying number.

posted about 2 years ago

The US is much worse than any developed nation when it comes to gun violence, the percentages are closer to that of a third world country
Here’s an article comparing them to other developed countries: https://www.healthdata.org/acting-data/gun-violence-united-states-outlier

posted about 2 years ago

Gun violence. 309 instances, many at schools, and you still have politicians trying to blame the number of doors

posted about 2 years ago

How discriminative many still tend to be and how parents will strongly push ideas on their kids without a choice. Suicide rates are also pretty awful

posted about 2 years ago

Give it a name, I’m sure vlr.gg can come up with a good one…

posted about 2 years ago

He’s literally in everyone’s top five list without even playing a single LAN, barely anyone except for die hard NA fans are saying he’s not impressive
If you can’t find people hyping him up, you’re not looking hard enough, just read through this thread

I like the Plat Chat boys and watch Sideshow and Bren’s streams often, but they did an awful job at ranking the Korean players. This guy at least realized that MaKo and BuZz are the best players while Plat Chat still believe stax and Rb are better, which just shows how little they watch the region

posted about 2 years ago

I doubt they’d be salaried, since it would be more similar to C9 or T1 dropping their KR rosters than the M3C situation

posted about 2 years ago

Aleksandar or al0rante

posted about 2 years ago

Both are toxic, it’s crazy how so many people can’t see both sides of the issue

posted about 2 years ago

They weren’t a fluke but were onliners

posted about 2 years ago

‘By far’ yet only won because of a 0.04 defuse and than a 3rd map in double overtime

posted about 2 years ago

It’s not ideal to take slots from other regions, but in a 12 team format, I still think the LATAM/BR LCQ slot should’ve rotated between South America and KR/JP

posted about 2 years ago

How would fans feel about Riot using the MSI format for Masters instead of this weird groups bye stuff? Obviously the amount of Bo1s would probably be lowered in favor of actual Bo3s, but do you think the format would work for these 12 team tournaments?

Swiss format is still better in every way, but I think this format approach could be interesting
