He’s a fan favorite, people were cheering for him just like any other likable player. There is a difference between cheering for a player and overhyping them. It’s not like he’s been playing awful either.

I feel like a lot of people on this site don't understand some of the most simple stuff about teams that get picked for franchising, so here's a summary on some of the things I see a lot of people not understanding:
1 - The organizations that get picked have almost nothing to do with performance. Don't be surprised when organizations like PRX, ACE, and XSET don't make the cut but ones that aren't even invested in Valorant do.
2 - Even if an organization doesn't make it, there is a high chance that the team will. FPX and PRX, if they don't make the league, will 100% get picked up by other orgs, whether that's as a package deal or sold one by one.
3 - Most organizations that make the league won't have anything close to their current roster. It'll be a clean slate for a lot of teams, which is why a team's current performance doesn't hold much weight.
4 - Stop taking every leak as 100% confirmed. We don't know what is set in stone and what isn't, not to mention that these reporters aren't always the most accurate. Too many people are overreacting about the leaks. Relax and wait for us to see the full picture, then argue all you want.
CR don't have a Meteor while NTH do have a Meteor, should be pretty obvious who wins. NTH 2-0

how can people be upset about that if it’s true. NTH and Zeta are both better than XIA (showing depth) and they bring in the most viewership. Seems fair to me

Ye, it’s the worst region. DRX are still a solid team though. People will try to discredit them because the rest of the region is bad.

see, i don't understand when people say this. the downside of franchising is not the first few years but the later ones. i can see why people wouldn't be interested later on, but the first year will be hype as hell seeing a new format and entirely new superteams along with more international events. if anything, you should watch next year because it will be interesting as hell.

i think they'll either get their own league or get added into an expansion. if not, then KR/JP/CN should all get 2
if 3 KR/JP teams make it each, the league will most likely have 12 teams. The other 6 slots will go to SEA/SA/OCE, that seems fair to me

i don't blame them for moving in the early stage, since fielding a successful NA roster is worth a lot more than a successful KR one. but they spent way to much time messing around in NA when things didn't workout, Gen.G was a T3 before they disbanded
Yeah, I didn't mean for it to sound so harsh like it's their fault that our players wanted to get paid lol, it's our own orgs fault for not investing
