cap wo0t will be the next goat to come out of turkey
legit said demon1 was best player itw rn but brodie this is an all time list and that means i considered longevity and achievements heavily
derke clears everyone here in team achievements with aspas and yay being 2nd and 3rd in that regard...
also demon1 has no longevity to factor in unlike literally everyone else on this list... for all we know he could end up just like tenz did after iceland
i like demon1 lots but he needs more time to go up in this list
i wanted to put keznit here but his team hasn't been good enough, if this was solely based on individual performance keznit would 100% be here since he has been good for 3 years straight and can play practically every duelist unlike many others
yea i thought of that while making the list but i just couldn't do it when i thought about the fact that yay didnt play this year and derke won 2 titles
some recency bias is a factor in this list too considering that the game is evolving rapidly i feel that each tournament is harder than the next
aspas
in terms of what he's achieved regionally and internationally and his own performances that contributed to those great placements he's gotta be nr 1
derke
long list of great placings and tournament wins, does his job, has had his fair share of amazing tournament preformances, one of the most consistent players throughout the entire history of valorant
yay
the best preforming "duelist"/chamber for an entire year and great preformances back in 2021 as well, best player of pre franchise
demon1
in my mind unarguably current best player in the world, champions mvp.
cned
very good at peak form, won champs, kinda mid this year but still was good on jett
who didnt make the list and why
tenz - one tournament wonder
keznit - hasnt achieved enough high placings
something - too early to put him here, not enough lans
anyone i forgot or anyone who has a case to be here?
honestly i thought geng's roster on paper was quite strong i dont think the problem was the players
i 100% was confident eg was gonna win champs after tokyo
yay
aspas
demon1
cned
keznit
takas
saya
i had the exact same belief. they looked like a top 5 team itw at champs 2022 but then they were so disappointing this year
what are some teams that coming into this season your opinion of them ended up being completely wrong? i'll start
for me i thought mibr would be a top team since they had bzka who was 2022 loud coach so i thought that he would elevate the team to the point that they would be really good like potter did with building up eg this season.
i also thought that fnatics superteam would be the one to fail and liquids "superteam" would be the one to succeed but it ended up being reversed :p
both play raze, sova and sometimes flash initiator
imagine this team tho
something
vici
jemkin
kr1stal
lumo
top 3 in any league?
hes more like a self sufficient duelist than anything, can set himself up but still frag out
