The Venues typically get better at the Final 4 of playoffs, not right as playoffs start, that's what they did at last champs
internet user discovers humor for the first time
1 KC
2 Sen
3 Loud
4 Gen G
5/6 PRX, EDG
7/8 FPX, TH
Engh believers rise up.
You are not wrong, but do consider how little time they had to practice for those off-season events, now that being said do I think 100T will get out of this group? hell no, they'd be lucky to even get a win, but I do expect to see improvement now that they finally have had a little time to practice.
Real honestly, there's only one skin I want, and I've been waiting over a year for it atp.
idk how riot would implement this, but it is definitely an idea which could be super beneficial for riot money wise, and the community in general.
well, Fnatic lost, so unlucky, guess well never know because they played like shit and got rolled by Loud.
keep doing god's work number2_cNed_fan, Fut will back up your claims this season I'm with you on this.
Are we just going to ignore what the org did for Sick? I'm not even a Sen fan but the way the org continued to provide support for him (for no real benefit mind you) should be admired. Orgs are orgs mate, they are going to make roster moves, they have to, but Sen have literally gone above and beyond to protect their talent instead of just dumping Sick on the side of the road during his time of crisis. (and mind you that would have been a way better decision for the company)
I can accept that 100t may disappoint but Boostio? nah Boostio is the goat man, if anything hes gonna be the only silver lining of this 100t team if things do go wrong
Cenders been the igl for a while I don't believe any Igl changes are going to be happening
"Fnatic Killer" is a bit ambitious, but I agree that KC has potential going into next season, I could also see this team really improving with time but idk if I see them beating any really good teams this year (not consistently at least)
worst baiter on the site stg
bros got cned in their contacts gotta respect that.
i think the 3-5 positions in this list could reasonably be switched in any order honestly, its just hard to say before the regular season starts
also DRX below PRX
yeah, you're not wrong, it's tough to say how good he will do before he actually joins a new team, but his performance in Tokyo was (lets be honest) just decent. And directly after that in Champions he showed up in a big way, I feel like hes had enough time to adjust to the highest level of competition and I personally cant see his performance going down in any meaningful way.
id love to be proven wrong though
one of the main problems is how versatile Jett's dash and Raze's satchels are. Jett can use her dash to OP or to entry or to disengage from a fight quickly, Raze can break util, deal damage, peak, boost teamates and has incredible mobility using her satchels. they just do too much. theres a cool podcast by acend club which discusses what they think some solutions are, one way to potentially fix Jett is to change her dash so it could only go forwards, but tbh combined with her other recent nerfs that might be a bit much so it might require a rework but its an idea that could work. ill link the podcast i was talking about if you care to watch it though i dont blame you if you dont lol
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WcgY3hyAn8Q&ab_channel=AcendClub
(they start talking about raze and jett around 13.32)
thats for Riot to figure out, but its way less fun to watch competitive Valorant when Raze and Jett have between 60-50% pickrate in champions. The next closest is (funnily enough) Yoru at 4% with Phoenix, Reyna, and Neon being at 3%. idc how they nerf Jett but its boring seeing the same agent comps played over and over and over again, we could use some more variety.
^
what we really need isn't to buff the other duelists we need riot to nerf Jett and Raze because they are just too good, no other agents can entry as effectively as them and it does create a really stale meta. Neon is a better example of a more balanced entry duelist and IMO riot should try to nerf Raze and Jett (hopefully slowly so they dont screw up the meta too much) to be on a similar level as Neon, not so they arent viable but just to make the other dueslists actually usable.
Ethan might perform worse but I simply have to disagree with the idea that Demon1 is going to suddenly start underperforming. Demon1 is the pinnacle of confidence to the point it borders on cockiness, I honestly think he believes in himself so much that it wouldn't really matter which team he joined. Dude eats sleeps drinks and breathes Valorant he is more than likely going to curbstomp anyone and anything he comes across.
though im incredibly excited to see what Demon1 does if he starts failing that would be very interesting to watch
I'm going to disagree on the TenZ thing, I do believe he has a right to be considered just because of how dominant he was during the earlier stages of the game in masters Reykjavik. And yes ik that happened a long long time ago but this is a question of the greatest of all time not just recent performances, plus his mechanics are still great. Though by no means am i claiming TenZ is currently a top 10 player or something, i probably wouldnt even call him top 30 atm, but he really did define how Jett was played for years and i think that's important to consider, regardless of how much he's fallen off.
Also yeah, should have included Less, he definitely deserves to be considered, just forgot lol.
well,
Boostio -> 100T
Demon1 & Ethan -> NRG
C0m & Jawgemo -> whatever org takes EG's place when riot throws them out of the league
unless riot is planning on just not adding an eleventh team to americas league in which case C0m and Jaw are likely fucked until after masters Madrid or even later in the worst case. But honestly what confuses me is why EG are still scrimming? maybe its just the players trying to stay in form but still the fact that EG is still scrimming kinda casts some doubt in my eyes that they're leaving by the start of 2023, maybe riot will keep them in for the year as they try to find a replacement but honestly idk.
nAts
Chronicle
Aspas
Saadhaak
Derke
Yay
Demon1
TenZ
IMO these are the candidates for that question in no particular order, and if i had to pick 3 from these they would be (in order) Aspas, Chronicle, Yay
Aspas has been consistent at the top level for so long that i find it hard to argue that he is the closest we have to a GOAT in valorant, though in all honesty i dont think anyone really is the GOAT yet, there just hasnt been enough time to figure out who it is yet. Chronicle i picked again because of consistency and because he has the most trophies of any player. Yay is Yay, he was incredible in 2022 but i dont think anyone can consider him #1 at this point because of his 2023 season (yeah ik DSG had its own problems excluding Yay but still)
Though Demon1 IMO has the most potential to become the GOAT of any player, he just hasnt been in the scene long enough to consider him for a title like that.
Bad take,
Firstly, they made a massive upgrade from replacing Redgar with Enzo, and this is coming from the world foremost Redgar enjoyer. Redgar is not a bad player, but it should have been obvious to anyone watching that he wasn't really working with this roster.
Secondly, Soulcas, dudes been underperforming since he got on the roster, I don't hate him and judging by what his teammates say he is quite good but its clear that he cant (or at least hasn't shown that he can) perform under pressure.
Only real downgrade this year is Sayf, even though Keiko is a good player he has some massive shoes to fill when it comes to replacing Sayf.
Redgar masterclass incoming
The only way to "save" EG is to kick the org out of franchising and let a different org pick up the players imo
you picked a best of one on a brand-new map to justify your point, really?
