morning brew, if youre into stats use tradingview they have weekly newsletters on stock + crypto and tools to help you gather your own information off charts

also, if you get an incredible return (jump in value, etc) dont get too greedy and sell when you know its gonna fall soon: dont always believe that itll keep going up when its been rising consistently

invest what youre willing to lose, and always know that youre gonna start small, once you get more experience and time expect to get more/other returns, every loss and profit is something learnt

theres no limit on the amount of match point teams and games, so it goes on until a match point team wins a game

posted about 2 years ago

win, get kills = points
first team to 50 points out of the final 20 teams is sent to mafch point
the first match point team who wins a game wins the tourny

does this mean the 7 region qualification is going away for masters and is instead looking like the rmr system? (americas, eu, asia) or will the 7 region and rmr quals be for seperate tournaments entirely? im confused

this will be a very hot take but i think (not saying they should) they should try to go for xzi if they want to blow the money on him and termi/glow being able to bring him up to that star player level

dude was farming against drx in a scrim/showmatch and hes an fa right now, hes also shown interest in valorant if the salaries are higher, and drx is one of the few orgs in korea right now with that money

they cant get munchkin or saya (ow stars already, which we know how they are with time) and seoldam too, so why not get the next best deal?

this would be the best japan has done in a fps tournament since nora-rengo in six invitational 2019, even placing top 4/3 here is a better accomplishment

was reading an interview and saw this

Last year, there were many restrictions on third-party competitions. However, with the recent growth of Valorant e-Sports, there is a movement to hold competitions outside. For example, there was a request from overseas to invite Korean players to hold an offline tournament, or there was a proposal to hold an online tournament by inviting a number of Asian teams. There are plans to accommodate this aspect in the off-season in the future.

in addition, Riot Games will expand its own amateur competitions. Amateurs who aspire to become professionals desperately need opportunities to improve their skills. Starting this year, we are working hard to hold a contest related to this.

after champions we might see more multiregional/offline tournaments coming alongside a real amateur/t2 circuit??

even if buzz jett > rb jett, rb jett >>> rb sova and that was before zest returned, even after there’s not really much of a consistent role for him to take

agree, they desperately need a sports psychologist full time or mental coach theyre all so young and so bound to succumb to pressure especially with their incredibly hard work ethic standard for kr :(

  • Challengers kick off
  • “Will drx lose this time?”
  • End up sweeping challengers
  • “wow, theyre looking ok” or “wow, theyre looking amazing” hope they do decent internationally
  • make it to international, look good in the opening matches
  • the hype is building, international fans get excited over drx again
  • then they get to their most important matches when the hype is at their greatest
  • they lose in the worst way possible and just barely out of pressure
  • “maybe next time theyll do better” “theyll come back stronger like every time”

repeat, every single time since m2

life of a drx fan:

  • do well in challengers
  • win challengers
  • look good in their first two international game
  • everyone hypes them up
  • then the pressure hits them, lose their most important games
  • “theyll be back better, every loss makes them more motivated”
  • repeat

stax is the oldest player and hes only 21?? obviously theyre gonna have mental issues, theyre still extremely young and have to play under this pressure to perform every single time

posted about 2 years ago

i can guarantee you almost ANYONE who paid attention to drx in challengers korea or is a korean knows that drx was not on their best form, literally no one expected them to make it or win the whole thing and that drx should hope to do decent

its always people bandwagoning them after their starting international game who are making drx out to be the next best team or that they’re winning it all without knowing the full picture, when in reality drx just wants to have a decent result to make it in champions

plus, they were one round from 2-0ing optic so lets stop saying to stop overhyping drx, theyre worth their hype and they can prove themselves
