No top teams sign prominent players as 6th man because it risks making the starting roster players insecure and specially with a team like SEN, people will be asking to sub him in after one loss. That's just not a healthy environment. Although, I like zellsis a lot, after the 6th player rule change, this seems like an unnecessary signing that will do more harm than good.

Unless, they are cooking something in the background. This could go two ways.

1. The most obvious one on the chopping block is TenZ. This guy might fall sick at the wrong time once again so they will end up needing a 6th or if things go south, tenz will get blamed once again and they will swap him out( like last time, although mistakenly ).

2. The second option isn't on anyone's agenda but it's very interesting. Zellsis is a fantastic sentinel player and It's no surprise that johnqt or most IGL would prefer to play initiators bcz it helps them stay with the pack and makes it easier to call executes. Now, john has always been a senti main but imo his best performances were on breach, skye etc. If they start losing they will swap out sacy, put zellsis on senti and johnQT on initiators. Also, john has been playing a lot of initiators on stream and he's really fkin good at it.

We don't know that for sure. EG very well could be a mid tier- high paying team salary wise. You would be surprised how incapable management people are in most sports. Tbf there wasn't much time in between champs and the transfer window being open. If they did it before champs then it would have probably tanked the players morale and if it's too late EG miss out on the transfer window in case their players refuse take the paycut.

They can't keep highly paid players in their payroll without playing them, also they can't sign new players the roster would be too big and expensive. So, they are kinda fked if they want high buyouts and also want the players to take pay cuts
