zeta will surprise at lan trust me, never been a japan hyper but for once this roster actually can stand a chance
most teams have a weak point, a player that lags a bit behind the others in terms of mechanical skill but makes up for it in their own way (calling, utility, communication, synergy etc)
imo teams are only as good as their worst player. which roster has the best "worst" player
for eu probably gambit or liquid, but na not so sure
hot take but either optic 2-0 2-1 sen or sen 2-0 2-1 optic
thats great, tons of edaters eventually live together
still the same schtick of terminally online esports player and egirl that has to signal boost all their emotions on social media
people are entitled to vent in whatever way they want but man edaters are so corny
literally like the same 5 subtweets whenever something goes wrong, its like performative cringe
i don't even see people overrating them, they are obviously very skilled but the type of team we can't gauge the ultimate skill level of until the actual events (which sucks because sample size at LANs are so tiny)
i'm glad to see the narrative shift a bit off of them because at champs especially it felt like a lot of the issues stemmed from pressure to uphold the reputation they garnered
in response to the people on the opposite side, completely doubting them and thinking that because they went out in groups once they're trash -- i think they'll surprise you :)
record doesnt matter i average like 10 rofl
immortal 2 though
i hope with DRX's funding they get more opportunities to bootcamp in EU, only getting to practice against teams significantly worse can genuinely stifle their potential :/ DWG look very promising though
i'm getting the same vibes that i did during NV vs 100T when envy were on 5 days of practice with yay
perhaps 100t fans can indulge in the tiniest amounts of copium
very cerebral player with top level mechanics imo
only thing people remember is his last series with andbox which was literally his worst performance in his entire career
this 100t roster is an investment in potential, they might not shine at first but if they give it time there will be lots to reap
he mind controls enemies into dying to hiko, more impressive than getting kills
im on max levels of copium for ZETA right now
i think in terms of firepower they have made the most drastic upgrades out of any competitive team as of late
as long as there aren't any underlying issues with communication or synergy (which are entirely possible) i genuinely believe this roster will be the first japanese team to make a significant impact on the international scene
keloqz must have not resolved his work ethic issues for them to renege on this again
people will say 'wtf are they doing, keloqz carried them' but if nobody wants to work with him it doesn't matter if the results are better, the team is doomed to fail
yes this was a drastic and sudden decision, but people act like these two matches were the first time this team met
in reality they played countless scrims and run through tons of practice already, clearly felt a palpable lack of coordination and basic synergy, and felt compelled to make bold changes instead of bashing their heads into the wall for the rest of the circuit
jcstani has mad potential, keeping an open eye on this 5 even though it’s a temp thing
you got it champ, keep dreaming big you'll get there someday
cmon man you got it in you to do a better job, i'll be cheering you on
vlr baiters have gone rock bottom in quality, the golden days are over
i started the game at ur peak
most people here are on the younger side so they probably wouldn't get this but
a lot of people don't have the time to grind 3-4-5 games of ranked a day to climb, they just get one game in every once in a while to just chill and have fun (in a competitive environment)
wasting an hour of your day meant to be for relaxation against some random smurf playing 4 ranks below is pretty miserable
i mean i have no idea how ZQ or TOE stack up in the greater CN scene but not particularly impressed by anything i've seen so far
some of the players are mechanically very skilled but the game is a slugfest of weird decision making and excessive dry peeking
twitch channel not available
you can do infinite things to support your team if your aim is off
if you're running it down every game not so much
i'm sure when you had off games your teammates had tons of fun
on a man to man level asuna/ethan outskill everyone on guard, but their growing pains with ec1s are very apparent
if they can patch up the issues in coordination and teamplay they showed vs c9 they have a good shot. otherwise guard are very well synchronized atm, they feel like a well oiled system right now
this is literally just how good optic are when victor is playing well
he has been slumping since the berlin run, but when he's up this team literally fires on all cylinders
yes, if you spacebar jump you basically have to time key presses to strafes which is both impractical and impossible
check out bokurano
really emotionally hardhitting and has a sci-fi background
she's infinitely better than chizuru so thats a w
anime hinamatsuri
tv show i dunno been on peaky blinders recently
you know vanity is already a negative thing right you don't need to add vain to it
this is the first time i've been genuinely optimistic about a japanese team going forward into the international scale
previously even by eye test you could tell that each team might have 1-2 standout players but on a man-by-man basis they were always outskilled by their opponents
zeta changes are very very promising though. besides crow (who i believe was stretched thin by being put on too many diff agents) i believe the other 4 have skill comparable to what the other regions are putting forward
dont sleep fellas
pretty good player never noticed him before akrew
there are orgs that don't give a fuck about bad pr
i wouldn't be surprised if we he see him competing next yr
on the bright side we’ll probably get to see him terrorize na ranked valorant on the side
who said someone needs to be jailed for me for me to dislike them? world isn't black or white :)
won't be supporting envy going forward if that change actually happens, sad
it would, but it would also be a convenient stepping stone to joining a top team
way too late to back out, he signed the agreement before champs even began
everyone knows patiphan is going to overwatch, but something interesting is that the owner of LA Gladiators, the team he's joining, also owns newly minted NA team The Guard.
crackpot theory but there is a miniscule chance that after his stint in overwatch they transfer him over to the valorant division in NA
Trying to milk both the europeans and the brazilians at the same time, hidden tech
sacy -- obvious choice, vikings have no future with their current roster and i can easily see an na roster drop a bag for him, fluent in english and a top sova player
lakia -- super skilled player that probably wants out by now, stuck on a 6 man roster where he plays 1 map a tournament. everyone knows he's good, only question mark is if he has any desire to go overseas. may end up playing in japan scene next circuit according to rumors
patiphan -- i know he's going to OWL but it's only for a more solid stable income, if an na org offers him a fat check after his stint with gladiators it's possible
davidp -- dont rate him that highly but considering giants is dead in the water i wouldn't be surprised if he comes over for some $$$
something -- demonic free agent duelist that terrorized the japanese scene. he has very little name value so could probably get picked up for way less than any other player on this list, and has been playing a LOT of na ranked in his spare time (might be trying to get his name out?)
munchkin -- i know crazy racoon are a meme but i believe this guy can be a beast if he just has better teammates around him. fluent in english, has played every role professionally, lots of lan experience as OW pro, and has expressed desire to play in NA. enormous potential with the right amount of support
valorant is too easy for him, he’s leaving for a harder game
they still aren't doing anything wrong lol, saying "VS can make a deep run and potentially win it all" isn't some offensive statement
like let em hype their teams before the event, what's the point of going "ah... well hope they have fun... not gonna win anyways..."
