Nip have a pretty sizeable fanbase in brazil in R6 and they might be trying to develop in that region. If they can get a good roster, they'll develop more in Brazil, it will probably cost less for them since the salaries in brazil are probably lower than in europe and they will possibly have more visibility since they have more chances to qualify for international events in a less populated region.
It is really unfortunate for the europeans players, but could very well be a great business decision.

You can't afford to have a jett one-pick who isn't consistently on top of the leaderboard nowadays. Unfortunate for him, but it was one of geng's most obvious problem and he couldn't adapt.
