Deffo difs jemkin for this roster tbh

posted 8 months ago

Yeah forgot about that, Xset's off the table but version1 is a no brainer, they would probably still have a GC team since it's pretty damn marketable to have to have the top NA GC team

posted 8 months ago

Surely riot could let 1 of these orgs buyout the guard roaster and take the VCT spot right.

Especially version 1, a big money org that's heavily invested in the scene who have experience within franchise systems (the operate and own a CDL team).

No brainer right

Bro imagine the memes, 2024 ascension champions being announced in a video,
NA the Union, highlights music slowly ramping up
EMEA Apex, highlights, music starting to build

And form APAC,
Basedrop*
The Singapore Armed Forces

posted 9 months ago

And next year's ascension winner is the Singapore armed forces 🗿

posted 9 months ago

They the real MVP for the EG run

posted 9 months ago

I mean here's one you could realistically build without any of the current VCT players

  • Braveaf, will continue his legacy as Russia's best sova 1 trick
  • Deffo, continues the fleta deadlift hard carries he did while getting the bag in China
  • Jenkin one of him or deffo ends up getting forced to flex and I think deffo probably holds out
  • kr1stal, continues igling but moves to smokes so he can tp into the backline like ANGE1 and redgar, because traditions
  • vo0kashu, best I could get with out going off the goop on India T2 games
posted 9 months ago

I can't see it. The roles don't really work for it. I'd say he goes to Navi to fill take over for cNed who's rumoured to be leaving

posted 9 months ago

Jenkins would exceed the import limit

posted 9 months ago

Ngl it's kind cursed that demon1 and jawgemo rotate who plays smokes based whether they need a Jett or a Raze on that map. Yet both look rock solid on controller, kind of impressive.

posted 9 months ago

ANGE1 ain't Russian mate

posted 9 months ago

No, overwatch died for reasons mainly related to content. Goats was peak overwatch esports in terms of story lines, hype and significance. The games were also bangers.

Overwatch died because it wasn't profitable to put money into the game, it was unfortunately right before the games as a service battle pass model that keeps money coming into big free to play games right now and the parent company has been later outed as an absolute shit show that stunted development

posted 9 months ago

I think she needs the help. Not 100% pick rate yet smh, d tier agent

posted 9 months ago

Buffing everything would be more fun to play

posted 9 months ago

Raze stonks gone to the moon after this one

posted 9 months ago

High key, name a map you don't pick raze 100% on now. Breeze and ice box. But with a re-design to breeze and raze chamber being a solid comp on both maps I honestly think raze become a must pick

posted 9 months ago

Me when Jett is hard diffed by raze on most maps but the nerf her into the ground and remove the fun stuff. Like why the need to take away an updraft

posted 9 months ago

I'll just be sad about it tbh, legit only care that the took away an up draft. The fun mobility is gone, why directly hinder the interesting part of Jetts kit

posted 9 months ago

Yeah they made the game less fun

posted 9 months ago

Bro it's 3am already, bed time for me I reckon
I can wake up to one of NA or SEA coping

posted 9 months ago

Damn that's pretty early. From what I remember Australians don't get their atars back until like mid December

posted 9 months ago

The import limit is one player from outside the region for VCT, in tier 2 however it expands to 2 outside of the VCL (very important in somewhere like EU or APAC where the region is split into many VCLs). So a franchise team can only have 1 import player, e.g. something, ardiis, ayrin and ban whereas a VCL team can have 2 e.g. scars.

Though interestingly China seems to allow 2 import player e.g. gank, Weibo, rng and 4am

1 map advantages are anti climatic and less intuitive for new viewers. One less map played in your grand final also isn't great for sponsors. The map veto, prep time advantage and lower amount of vods for the other team are enough especially given how huge of an advantage the upper bracket team has in the veto

posted 9 months ago

Bracket resets don't really work well for games where things take so long. Instead the team with the higher seed is given a huge map veto advantage over the lower seed. It's not quite a second series but it is still a huge advantage for the lower seeded team have to overcome.

posted 9 months ago

Idk the new Maryville roster looks kind of stacked for collegiate.

posted 9 months ago

Each country runs a qualifier between all the collegiate teams (university teams) and that one goes to the finals

posted 9 months ago

That would probably make a difference in the choice, I know nothing about American colleges other than that shits expensive and a scholarship for clicking on heads seems like a good deal.

posted 9 months ago

Honestly reckon a good career path for him would be to get onto an NA collegiate team (which are starting to come into Val), he would be an easy pick up for someone like Redbirds or Northwood if they enter Val. Full ride scholarship ez peak career move

posted 9 months ago

Tldr, c9 left because na cs is a money pit. Then when Russia did Russia things and gambit had to release there rosters cloud 9 acquired the gambit roster and has built from there

posted 9 months ago

Sounds like cope tbh
You can't really say winning an international lan event where the top 4 teams were Navi, drx, loud and Fnatic doesn't hold up to a regular. There was like no big upsets that heavily changed the results single Elim had basically no effect

posted 9 months ago

Imagine a soccer team being top 4 at a football would cup

posted 9 months ago

You know why

posted 9 months ago

Fair fair, but at least unlike yay, ardiis could actually put up numbers against tier 2 teams...

posted 9 months ago

Depends a fair bit on whether it's being calculated off vlr's rating system or strait acs. Both have their merit, but if your looking from the perspective of straight acs there's 3 duelists in the top 5 (ardiis, keznit and whyz). Aswell in the group stage both are influenced heavily by who's in your group

posted 9 months ago

Nah it's worse, this is a 1 team game. Fnatic just clears

posted 9 months ago

I don't know my ranked games always go better with a few cold ones. I can't imagine a few drinks would hamper Angel or redgars ability to blind to into the enemy

posted 9 months ago

Vodka redbull clears

posted 9 months ago

Pre-match drinks with the team > mid game nicotine injection

Give sayf a beer

posted 9 months ago

Liquid win this, loud is in shambles

posted 9 months ago

Idk Ardiis English is kind of questionable, translating from scouse to English is a full time job for fns

posted 9 months ago

Prosciutto gets hard diffed by Serrano, granted wouldn't say I've put it on a pizza

posted 9 months ago

To be fair kind of impossible to make a sequel for these kind of games. Especially games as old as csgo and overwatch that came right before the games as a live service model. If you change to much you lose your cult fan base, you keep the core of the game the same and your 'new release' is basically a major update (which to be fair is what most game releases used to be)

posted 9 months ago

The necessary knowledge (and to and extent skill) floor to be able to pick up counterstrike means it has fuck all chance of breaking into newer markets. Valorants more intuitive utility and basic movement make it significantly easier to pick up and approach to a new demographic that wasn't born in the days of 1.6

Also tier 2 esports is still a money pit in CS, it just takes longer for orgs to realize since there's still something shiny at the end of it.

posted 9 months ago

Sounds like the difference between this year and last year's call of duty tbh

posted 9 months ago

Trust me it exists, it might involve dfm dropping their roster for bonkers because the teams better, completely rebranding their org to bonkers because it's a better brand and the LCQ into champions run of a multiple lifetime. But dammit that world exists somewhere

posted 9 months ago

On my way to run the sim on an Intel super server until I find the one possible universe bonkers win

posted 9 months ago

Give jett a frame 1 jump cancel hitbox

posted 9 months ago

The bit I kind of left because it would have gone from happy potter to game of thrones was that hopefully with pushing personalities and tier 2 players other revenue like streaming and social media influencing opens up as an option to support a career in Val.

posted 9 months ago

Knew I should have made it a 10 second tik tok and not a post in forum

posted 9 months ago

Sell orgs on sponsor and brand exposure not prize money, integrate the T1 and T2 calendar, get T1 players vs tier 2 players/teams you don't need a whole event for it, make it a show match
