Remember that one clip of Babybay insisting that Bang wasn’t good?
Time for Riot to draw on those underground contacts and set up an illegal human trafficking ring to smuggle these Russians into Iceland.
Who's even making this argument, though? Nobody is claiming that having x star player is an unequivocal guarantee of success, nor were they back in the heyday of C9 TenZ when there was a strong consensus that he was the best player in the region.
Comparing star players is, if anything, implicitly making an argument about these nebulous 'other factors' - namely the degree to which any shortcomings in that area might be bandaged over by the miracle X factor that certain players seem to regularly bring. Similarly, having a top star player provides a nice hedge against the unavoidably random nature of Valorant games where any matchup is ultimately a coinflip, albeit one of wildly varying weights.
Seems like South Asia gets collectively triggered whenever anybody disparages Chet; it's quite something.
He's probably good though, yes, although surely the 'coaching impact is inscrutable from the outside' applies when a team is doing well as it does when it's doing badly. FNS scoffed at Envy's success in Berlin being attributed to MikesHD, no?
You’ve made me believe.
2-0 SQ.
I feel Soniqs take this, but a measure of caution is warranted until we see how their recent roster moves pan out.
Going to have to go with the majority here and say Derke. A Jett one-trick who then proceeded to hit it out of the park with Raze, unlike some others. It's still a bit early on to make any definitive judgements, but it looks like he's managed to rein in the questionable decisions he was liable to make in the past, again, unlike some others.
Not even top 20 though, sadge.
Obvious Pioneers W, but here's hoping Crunchy continues to impress on Jett.
