slower speed is fine for gaming afaik 1mbps and 5ping was more than enough for me to play CsGo Online back in 2016 pretty sure it wont be any different with valorant

another important thing I think is making sure both wifi router and wifi Adapter are on 5Ghz since there's A LOT of interference on the 2.4Ghz band especially in metro cities like mine with huge population density

what you say is true but it isn't the main factor there was a huge influx of new playerbase from the mobile gaming community in late 2020 when PubgM got banned and that was the primary factor
