Scenario for first seed in Group B of SCS

Assuming FPG loses against RGE

RGE will qualify and VLT will get the first seed because of their H2H against OGT.

If FPG wins against RGE

FPG will qualify and FPG, VLT and OGT will have the same number of points (assuming OGT wins against Union which they probably will). In this case FPG is pretty much out of the contention for first seed because of their worse round differential as compared to VLT and OGT. VLT just got gifted a +26 because of XLE forfeiting their match, and now they are +32 overall on round differential. OGT are +37 but they have a match remaining against Union Gaming, and they will have to make sure they keep their round differential above 32 if they want to get the #1 seed ( which should be a easy task tbf).

OGT cannot go on first seed cuz the criteria is 1) H2H , 2) Round diff , OGT lost against VLT so VLT is gonna stay above OGT no matter the round diff , now if FPG win they lost against OGT so if we consider h2h , fpg should be below OGT that means at the 3rd place , so i think if FPG win today they qualify being the 3rd seed with VLT at 1st and OGT at 2nd . People are stressing too much on round diff and not taking H2H in consideration . I am so confused ffs

Round differential is used as a tie breaker. The first option that is looked at is H2H. If there are more than 2 teams for the same position where H2H cannot resolve the tie, that is when round diff comes into play. If FPG and VLT are tied, FPG will move ahead because they win the H2H.

why is no one talking about group A scenario I think that could play out even more interesting when GE REV and VL all 3 teams go 3-2 and having beaten each other who takes the upper 2 seeds?
