The difference between them is literally 3 ACS lmao
Zyppan > Victor and Suygetsu > Marved
Every FPX player is individually better than his Optic counterpart
If FPX lose it's gotta be the choke of the century
Suygetsu stats would've been much higher had he farmed Xerxia and Northeption in play-in
But he was absent then
They will return once Riot announce some normal plan for the next year
But Riot hasn't done shit, so why stay and keep paying gigantic salaries to NA players for nothing in return?
The only reason Optic are in top-3 is because their bracket was mickey mouse
They would've lost to Guild, FPX, Fnatic, PRX, anyone from upper 4
I see that Alfajer has 235 average ACS over the tournament, while only playing good teams and not flukes like Liquid and G2 (Loud did that)
Is that bad? No
This is so random, how did you shift Fnatic loss topic to aspas topic
Well if they get someone as cracked as say Jady or Cloud on flex role, it's absolutely worth the try
And no one will know how new Fnatic play
I've seen Ange1 play, he doesn't even use a monitor. He visualizes the map in a detailed rendering, completely in his mind. He has a biological wallhack; his godlike perception highlights all enemies within light-years. His eyes are closed as his mouse gracefully swerves across the table, making immaculate twitches as he flicks from head to head.
I doubt they can remove anyone right now, they need to save at least 3 players from the initial roster
It's not a choke, it's a deserved loss
Still a good result for Fnatic
FPS culture is very strong in this region, even despite the fact that Valorant isn't popular, a fair percentage of existing RU pros are literally cracked, much bigger percentage than of other countries
I don't think groups are equal, but from seeding perspective it makes sense, no?
German team (Fokus) were strongest in VRLs last split, Turkish team (Surreal) were 2nd strongest, now they get ez MENA because of it
Asians tried to play but failed
Opportunities were there for them
Even if that's the case, Optic don't have plan for FPX either
And mechanically FPX shits on Optic anyday
Every day I ask myself how this team keeps winning regionally with FNS
Diamond aim
EU 3-1 Optic
Optic got railed 2-0 by EMEA"s 3rd seed
First time ever I see 60 THREAD upvotes in 4 minutes
Holy fuck how fast this website grew
You thought otherwise? They lost to Guild and barely won struggling DRX
Valorant don't have a big cult in Europe, it will probably take years to grow one. Filling or barely filling 3k arena is not an achievement, it's an embarrassment.
No one advertised Antwerp and Cologne much, yet 20k and 15k people respectively were in the crowd on final days. No one advertised it. That's what you call csgo cult.
If I were them I'd boo whenever Marved makes a sick play
Compare Masters to IEM Dallas
Masters = 1 of 3 international events this year, 1 of 2 with crowd
Dallas = random regular ESL tourney, it means nothing except for Intel Grand Slam calculation
Also Valorant in EMEA is way more alive than CSGO in NA, times more alive
I think it's better to fill 80% of 20k csgo capacity than fill 100% of 3k valorant capacity
Rooting not for PRX but against NA
There's nothing even remotely amusing about this post
Maybe your 13 year old humor loves it, idk
There was too much of this shit lately, if it's a joke it's a dumb and repetitive one
Everyone who wanted to attend the event has already covered all expenses.
You're doing nothing but spamming. A person won't buy tickets after reading this thread, because it means they'd have to get to Copenhagen in 3 hours.
Not really, 50 european fans would make more noise than 20k tube clappers
IMO it's the opposite
HLTV has 2-3 times more traffic and engagements than VLR, but much less threads with bitching about another game, unlike here
Dallas didn't fill up not only because it's in NA, but also because it's a mid event which has no meaning for most CS fans + it's very hard for europeans (and not only europeans) to obtain visas for some USA travelling.
Think about it. Valorant this year will have 2 international events with crowds. Similar to 2 CS majors with crowds per year. While CS major collects more than ten thousands of audience, Valorant can't get half of 3k stadium, doesn't matter whether it's in Denmark or not. It's embarrasing.
Shocking, Antwerp with no belgian teams got 15k+ people watching it live in the arena
How come??? There were no belgian teams
Cologne with no german teams also got 15k+ people
Valorant as an esport doesn't have its ultras in EMEA of diehard fans, who are ready to pay anything, travel anywhere to watch one of three LAN events in 2022 live. Of course, if an event is close to their home, they might go, but otherwise they won't bother to waste time on such things.
Do you think many people live in Belgium? No. Yet Antwerp had 15k+ audience. That's what you call fans, real fans. Valorant doesn't have such sect, not yet.
No idea how LoL maintained solid popularity in Europe and NA throughout all these months since corona outbreak
Must be fun to waste time on LEC low tier games, just to see your teams get shitstomped by asians on both internationals per year
Two parallel VCT-like circuits, each of them leading to a certain number of teams going to every Masters? Some through franchise, another through open tournament grindset?
I think it's a good idea, but Riot won't like it, as 2nd non-prestige circuit takes away attention, viewers and sponsors from what is supposed to be the main franchised competition
Even if LoL had same esport model as CS, it would still be the most popular game in the world, because Riot spent a lot of money promoting it in Asia
Well, plans must've been dogshit then
Not surprised, Riot bury this esport alive over time, they prohitibit organizers like ESL and BLAST to interfere, but at the same time fail to create a good system themselves
Imagine you're Akrew head of esports
You entered Valorant to get the slice of popularity of a new game, increased brand value, farmed social media accounts, signed contracts with new sponsors, took a cut from tournament winnings and so on
Everything was fine, but now there's a big ass offseason all the way until 2023, you have no idea what Riot is planning, you have no idea how their support for tier2 will look like, you have no idea how popular tier2 is gonna be among casual audience, you have no idea whether it's smart to trust Riot secret plans and keep wasting money on current roster until further announcements come
Then you pause Valorant division, you might come back when things are clear and they have a good scheme for next year, but currently it doesn't make any sense to just fully give yourself to the hands of shitty Riot with the way they've managed this esport so far, there's horrible ecosystem in all regions and they don't do anything about it
I'm not sure whether it's gonna be equal slots for all leagues
Right now:
Masters distribution: 5 Americas, 4 Asia, only 3 EMEA
Champions distribution: 7 Americas, 6 Asia, only 3 EMEA
They have a hate boner for EMEA, I feel like it will be transferred to the new 2023 season as well
it's exactly how it's gonna be
Tier2 will be stuck in eternal hell with no chance of promotion or international appearance, basically a player pool to produce upcoming talents for tier1, who will move on to a new team as soon as there's an opportunity
International slots something like this, 12 to 16 teams:
Americas - 4-6 from franchised league (likely 4)
EMEA - 4-5 from franchised league (likely 4)
Asia - 4-6 from franchised league (likely 4)
Plus, the fact they won't even wait to see riot's plans for the tier 2 shows how much commitment they had with the game and the scene, therefore riot was right in denying them a position on the league. They were just waiting for a somehow solid reason to dump their val teams and save money.
They quit because there are no positive signs of Riot setting up anything for tier2 in foreseeable future, this year they didn't do anything for teams outside of VCT, why should orgs be hopeful for something better?
They quit because it's dumb to pay your players large salaries hoping that at some point in autumn 2022 or 2023 your spendings will be noticed and rewarded for being patient, but in fact no one will give a shit about your perseverance
I don't understand why NA orgs out of VCT who have no chance of franchising are holding on to Valorant for so long
Just get out of this sinking ship, you're paying players thousands of dollars every month and there's no reward in the end
About CIS - nothing is fucked in CSGO with our region, we play in tournaments, we have russian broadcasts
Riot is so ass they couldn't figure anything out except for permanently closing down LCL and Ориентир
Elaborate what? Polaris and Surge are underperforming hard, they didn't develop any kind of big consistent viewer bases which regularly come to watch games and support players on socials, the orgs burn money on salaries but receive nothing in return
EMEA VRLs aside from France and Spain are not doing good
East and Nordics in deep shit, CIS dismissed and given up to the mercy of fate
Don't question Riot, they run the best esport in the world with so many viewers (LoL), they are always right in whatever they decide to do
Valorant will overtake CS within next year for sure
These freaks above acting like they came from future, they know everything and I know nothing, they are in power to criticize my predictions
Doesn't matter how big arena is, Turkish fans won't buy tickets because they don't have a single team at the tournament (Riot ignored their region's potential)
Imagine Rogue or Heroic get into top-10 having contributed nothing to the scene
