They brought in the serious team for this one
As I said I don't wanna count if GDP, I wanna count in player base xD
And no, I do not just count the size of the market I want to conquer. If I'm a toy company I'm not targeting elderly people just because there's more than kids. That's just not how it works. There is a target audience and that is the people that care about your product, and how many people cares about you product is seen in the player base
If you wanna give the slot from Indonesia to Australia because they have a bigger GDP, go ahead but the game isn't gonna make it very far
I think they said they were maintaining the point system slot but reworking how points are awarded. But if I'm completely honest I don't exactly remember
I'm sorry but comparing countries based on population makes absolutely no sense, that's just not how it works, by that rule you might aswell give an spot to Nigeria or Bangladesh .What actually matters is the player base and in that case I imagine it is quite similar if the Spanish one isn't bigger.
Obviously there is a potential in India which must be taken into account which is why they're not completely ignored in the first place
Yeah no I understand, the exact same thing happens in LATAM for example, many LATAM fans wanna kill LEV for going international.
So I suppose it’s a European thing but I don’t think either of those are the reasons, like we are extremely patriotic in that sense too and it’s not like I have much in common with a Polish guy either
It’s a really interesting thought tho I wouldn’t really be able to explain it either. My best guess is we’ve gotten used to it through traditional sports. Real Madrid for example has barely any Spanish players at all, and it’s not like we’re not the current European champions, yet no one complains
All of that being said my original point stands, I think it’s the most beneficial for the scene in the long term aswell. GE actually doing good would also attract so many players and make the scene thrive
Why tf would a coach say that. Like the players are clearly good enough to do much better than that if you weren't able to get them to do so you have a huge part of the responsibility
I totally believe it. Sometimes it just doesn't work out
Like it's a different case but imagine NRG keeps build super rosters like they are, but they fail a couple more years in a row. Riot will never have a problem with that because they're clearly trying to be good
Yeah I also don't think they will get rid of them. I mean they are clearly trying, sometimes you can't control if it works out or not, it eventually will
I don't think it will ever be as crazy as LOL but yes they will improve at a way faster rate than everyone else (Although Valorant is not very popular in Korea)
What DRX is doing with the academy is admirable with Foxy9, Beyn, Flashback etc
Well yeah but VIT KC KOI GX TH don't have a single player of their nationality, they could very much have made a very competitive roster with at least 1 player from their country. BBL and M8 will both1 player of their region which Ig it's something but still
And don't get me wrong I would love to see spanish players. But Ig in EMEA we have more of a club mentality and we very much like to support orgs more than just players
What I do think is that those orgs owe to the scene functional academies in their region to change that in the future, and I'm afraid no one is gonna do it
Well, as a Spanish fan I feel like I'm in that exact situation. At the very least me, I don't want Spanish orgs to force Spanish players into tier 1 for no reason.
If there is no talent they can't just invent it. I think GE with a winning roster would attract way more players and do better for the scene than 5 Indian players that place last. The problem obviously comes if they have no Indian players AND they lose, but that's something you can only relatively control and eventually will change.
Also in EMEA BBL and M8 have done the transition this year from full national to international, and even without seeing the results, for what I've read both fanbases love it. Might just be EMEA mentality Ig
Very simple imo. Koreans (not that many in valorant) are already gonna watch the games because they have DRX/GenG/T1, adding DPlus would increase the viewership very lightly. By adding GE you unlock a whole region which might not be big now but its potential is undeniable.
To put it simply, although DPlus is bigger than GE, GE is more beneficial because DPlus overlaps an already existing fanbase
There is this thing called ID, which usually tells if someone is a male or a female. No need for Leo faria to check people's pants
That's like saying they didn't add TH to franchising so they could build the best Turkish team. Tf is that supposed to mean
Just fake the passport atp
Although do gotta say he’s gonna play with FNC in the off season and that’s gonna be hype af
That is this year, next years schedule it’s different. Masters Bangkok starts in February, I suppose that will be the case in 2026 aswell
He can’t compete for the first tournament of the year, so not really
Hell no, he’s amazing and he acts like he knows it
He knows it’s his future
I don’t think no one has ever argued anyone faking being trans to play in GC. The 2 arguments are people saying transgender people is not a thing, and that they should’ve be allowed because they have a competitive advantage
I argued yesterday but I realized although it is true it might stop some women from competeing now it’s more important to give the competitive experience to all of those girls so that we don’t get 1 girl in tier 2 and that’s it. It needs to be in bigger scale and more sustainable and for that it still needs more time
But for example in Brazil they’re gonna start introducing GC teams into the VCL. There’s intermediate steps you can take too, like allowing 1 or 2 guys into GC
Oh it's both? Thanks
Do you know if that carries on for split 1 of next year? ig Split 2 is kind of a test
I'm pretty sure someone got invited to play with the guys I just can't remember how it worked
Does the winner of this play in Br VCL next year?
Not really the same, NRG built a roster without an IGL and then Ethan kinda ended up IGLing, and they did that to fit 5 insane individual players. VIT decided Sayf to be the IGL a while back and unlike NRG they can still have the chance to keep cender and they choose not to do so to have "Kicks"
Like idk if what I'm saying makes sense but like VIT is actively making this decision because they want Sayf to IGL. NRG made that decision to fit as many individual players as posible. It's different Imo
if this happens it means they openly chose Kicks over cender so they clearly disagree that they need an IGL
No they don't, at least not in my experience
I think it's more a sign of activity than it is of people agreeing with your or not
Edit: Actually someone did an experiment not too long ago I forgot
Here https://www.vlr.gg/379125/experiment-results
The only reason you can lose stars as far as I know is by mods taking them away
Unironically I think they would have done better if Neon was never buffed
Really? I haven't heard the official broadcast I'm watching it in Spanish
Still shitty ending
Kalista spears didn't explode after the Zhonya
Yes
Chronobreak: Unfair cause they just had an amazing team fight while being behind, if they fight again they probably lose
No Chronobreak: Bin should have died
They got fucked by a bug so the normal thing would be to rewind. But if they consider their position is better after the fight than before, even if the bug fucked them there is no point in rewinding
Depends, I think G2 gets to choose if they want to chronobreak or not
They lost the fight cause of the bug but just rewinding is unfair cause they won a fight while being behind. But there really isn't a more fair fix. G2 about to get robbed
It was literally the first signing. It's your team bro xD
You're too busy baiting
he is either great or the worst player I've ever seen, no in between
