Instead of Academies every VCT team is allowed to have a partnered tier 2 team. For example Giantx and UCAM, this essentially means Giants has control over the UCAM players which are all 2 way players, allowing them to move between both teams freely, like famsii has been doing.

This is a way cheaper solution than fielding an entire team themselves since they only pay a little sum to UCAM, and pretty much have the same benefits as an academy

but why would you pay to have an academy when you can have a tier 2 team that does exactly that for you? It's literally what we already have

Doesn't matter if you allow it or not. No team would get one, it's expensive af and completely useless. It's not gonna give you money so what benefits could it possibly have? Develop talent? You can already do that through affiliated orgs like GX with UCAM or FNC with MDR

I don’t think Trexx is very high priority amongst teams if you pay attention he’s always one of the last players to get picked up.

He’s one of the most talented players in EMEA but he doesn’t bring much else. He refuses to play duelist and apparently struggles with the comms. Or at least that’s the intel we have from his time on KOI
