And to get first you only need to beat 5 out of 16 teams hahahaha

What a fucking travesty

posted about 3 years ago

Am I understanding this wrong? To get 4th you only need to beat 3 out of 16 teams?

posted about 3 years ago

You can get 4th place in this tournament by beating 3 of 16 teams hahahahahaha

Imagine this very likely scenario.

They seed 1 Eu team in to each group.

They seed 1 NA team in separate groups.

You now have the #1 seed in EU with a free ride to the playoffs because they will not have any EU or NA team in their group and since they had the 1 seed from one of the strongest regions they will most likely dodge Most of the other 1 seeds.

Anyone who thought seeding matches didn’t matter probably feel dumb as a box a rocks right now.

Also this sets up a very realistic chance of an all EU or all (basically) NA playoffs which would be HORRIBLE for the scene.

Dog shit

posted about 3 years ago

We will have so few teams playing against each other. The most teams someone will play is 6 of the 16. What is this dog shit.

1 team qualified from groups? What if the 2nd best team in the tournament is in a group with the best team? They don’t even get to the playoffs?

I honestly think this is the worst tournament format I have ever seen. Are they trying to kill their game? Did valve pay them off?

Ruined my day.

Dropped the ball

Fumbled the bag

Me: first real international lan with 16 teams. Riot can’t possible fuck this up worse than Iceland!

Best thing that can happen for NA is gambit winning.

They won’t play like this on lan ;)

153k people watching Valorant on twitch alone.

Pretty good if you ask me.

Good bait because the title is true to Valorant.

Took arguably the best pheonix in the world off of Phoenix and made him play Skye. He hasn’t been the same since.

Can’t really argue with this list.

Last time 100t and Sen played a match and tenz was on Reyna he went 14-2

I think he is referring to how when he first rises up over the wall he aimlocks onto the sage who is behind the box.

We don’t see the sage so there is really no way of knowing that he locked on. This isn’t very good evidence imho.

Is seven actually from Mexico, or is he Mexican American?

Double elimination allows more teams to play against each other and stops things like the best team eliminating the 2nd best team In the first round.

Colonel Sanders was a Jesuit priest who sailed the Black Pearl across the Atlantic Ocean and when he landed in Portugal 🇵🇹 he thought it was Turkey and that’s how Europe was discovered.

I have guild and liquid both making Berlin.

I heard that when he was first benched from 100t he had lots of offers and he turned them down. I think it was hard for his pride to join a team that wasn’t on the same level as 100t so he was waiting for a top tier team to offer him a contract, but now that it’s been so long, I doubt he is getting offers from top tier teams. He might have to sign with a t2 team if he wants to keep playing.

I think lurking is one of the most common things an IGL does.

Isn’t asuna In HIghschool when he started playing for 100t? How old was he when he was pro in cs? 15?

posted about 3 years ago

Did yay and asuna play cs?

I think that pretty soon it’s going to come to the point we’re being good in CS doesn’t matter anymore. These young cracked kids are going to grow up on Valorant and dominate the scene.

posted about 3 years ago

Funny because I think it’s the opposite.

Guild and Liquid all the way.

Turko was so crispy. I had never watched SMB before today and if they can consistently play as well as they did today, they could make some serious waves in Berlin.

posted about 3 years ago

They just smacked G2. They looked sharp and I’m glad a TR team qualified for Berlin.

This is great for the scene.

The only thing I want from CS is a map like Office.

Nothing in Val even comes close.

I would love that.

What percentage of that population has good enough internet and access to computers?

I’m actually curious. I am not trying to hate. 20%?

I wouldn’t be surprised to see fpx lose a few players to NAVI and NAVI becoming a powerhouse.

The more teams the better if you ask me. I hope Brazil does well this tournament. I want Valorant to thrive in as many countries as possible, and that won’t happen if these other regions continue to have poor showings on lan.

This game would be lame if it only stayed popular in NA because every other region keeps losing.

While I would love to see NA in the top 3 slots (I don’t think it’s very far fetched tbh), I think it would be much better for the scene if it went something like this.

NA
Eu
KR
NA
BR
Eu
JP

A top 5 finish for Brazil would be pretty huge for the scene.

Spoken like a true analyst. Thank you for your dedication.

This team has overachieved big time. Basically no one thought they would win against these teams. I’m sure he is a big reason for that success.

My prediction.

Fpx break up and NAVI farms some of their players and becomes the top team in CIS.

If guild didn’t know about the hospital then they did nothing wrong.

I haven’t seen the comments to know if FF is overreacting or not.

posted about 3 years ago

I think it goes

Sen
Envy/100T

Rest

The only teams xset beat in this tourney were Rise and LG. They had a good tournament run in the last qualifier (Similar to V1 and Faze). They beat Sen and 100t and then they turned around and lost to Sen 1-3 and 0-2 to 100T.

They are top of the heap behind the 3 that qualified, but they are not quite on the same level.

You must be some dude who talked shit about 100 thieves for months and expected to be vindicated when they lost. Now that they have won, you can’t rationalize the fact that you have been wrong for months and you look like a fool so you lash out with post after post trying to cope with your inadequacies.

Just take your L. 100T have been one of the most consistent teams in NA for a very long time, and just because you’re 15, that doesn’t give you the excuse to hate gamers over the age of 20.

posted about 3 years ago

Some people have weirdly shakey aim. Asuna from NA for example.

Make his stim work on casting animation.

Faster weapon switch, utility usage, etc etc.

posted about 3 years ago

Scream used to carry, now the rest of the team has improved and he doesn’t really “carry” anymore.

Anyone who says he isn’t the best player on the team doesn’t know what they are talking about.

No big upsets today.

No lol. That’s not how odds work.

I think NV is favored, but not so much favored that it would be shocking for them to lose.
