I get what you’re saying, but you’re discounting the fact that the whole reason gc exists is to provide a place where women and other marginalized genders can compete and gain visibility (as much as ppl stupidly clown on their viewership it’s a helluva lot better than if they were relegated to tier 2/3). That encourages more women to play in the first place. The end goal would be what you’re saying, gc teams strong enough to compete on the main circuit, and that’ll only happen if there’s a large enough player base of women and nb ppl to compete in the first place. We’ve seen in every team game/sport that whatever population has the largest player base will normally produce the best teams, and valorant is no exception. By increasing visibility, we increase the player base, and thus the team quality in the long run.

Plus gc teams SHOULD be playing in coed placements like C9 white does imo. That also helps them become better teams.

Yeah and C9 have a proven insane core when they’re hitting, one of the best coaches in NA, the best player from V1 (a major part of what made them good), and then fucking yay. I think SEN are gonna be good too don’t get me wrong, but if you’re not ranking C9 as the best in the Americas on paper, you’re capping.

Saadhak and Redgar are the most proven fragging igls worldwide, but I agree boaster isn’t a massive drag bc of his mechanics. I do think his tendency to micromanage harms them sometimes tho.

I bet a decent amount is from FNS’s positioning and calling but more of it is yay’s insane gamesense. If you watch some of his streams, he talks about how he always predicts his opponents’s actions (with an absurdly high success rate based on an eye test). That’s how his crosshair placement is nearly perfect and why he rarely needs to pull off insane flicks, although he’s able to when required.

I think yay’s one of the smartest duelist/chambers in the current scene, and that’s most of why he’s incredibly consistent. These ability’s aren’t gonna disappear on C9.

On paper, every single one of these rosters has an insanely high ceiling. They all have a ton of structure, top tier coaches, and players with experience and insane proven mechanical abilities on LAN. Obviously some of them won’t work out because that’s just what happens with “superteams”, but the ones that do will be consistent contenders for winning every single international tournament in the future. At first I was worried for the future of Americas franchising, and now I’m just excited. Cant wait to see everyone play in Brazil!!

They got sacy tho, he’s one of the most recognizable players in the entire game (obv not quite Tenz but close).

I’m deadass such a fan of this new roster. Sacy and pancada are some of my fav players and to see them with ZEKKEN AND SYKKO of all people will be a TREAT. Super excited to see them play!!

Even as a diehard guard fan, I think dephh was the right move for sen. He’s already worked closely with sykko and has a lot of chemistry there plus he’s played well on the international stage. I would’ve loved to see valyn in franchising but dephh ain’t a bad choice at all.
