Yeah but s9 is also a decent enough player. He played for AG, had a short stint at JDG, and can hold his own just fine. Of course, he is much more valuable as a coach but I don't think dumping blame on him is fair.

Speculative and this is all on paper, however:
TYL: Yoyo is big unknown, but hfmi should be a huge loss, should be a downgrade
JDG: Massive unknown, probably won’t elevate them enough to be relevant.
EDG: Massive upgrade with hfmi, should challenge for internationals if he lands on his feet and not on his head.
TEC: No team in the world should be happy about losing Rb, but Lucas looks pretty good, this team is very inconsistent but could see some decent performances.
AG: wasn’t starting and they probably won’t miss him either with their empire.
FPX: heard he’s a decent coach, I wouldn’t evaluate coaches until they’ve actually coached the team though, could propel them a lot considering the sheer firepower they have access to.
NOVA: they could’ve picked someone off the street and they probably would be better than o0o0o, anything is an upgrade, might have to reevaluate IGL position though.

No no, I did mention that this is Jieni7 EDG, meaning that yes, hfmi can not play with them this tourney. With that being said, I heard that he looked good in scrims, and overall he is a very solid player with a tonne of experience (including on international stage), which could see him adapt very quickly in my opinion.

It IS Jieni7 EDG. With zjc, EDG probably number 1 in China (Idk who you place above them there, assuming probably WOL and someone else). However, I would say that GEN.G and FNC are better than DRX and miles ahead of BBL, and I would never badmouth my goat Viva.

I agree with the duelist point but as we've seen in the past, Smoggy on passive initiators don't really work, as it is a massive waste of his firepower. On one hand, if they do indeed require it, hfmi can even play double duelist, and will likely play initiator otherwise.
