I would like to see crest and especially Sc0rz go down, they are helping other region more than japan just by existing πππ
I need SG and Murash to win, Murash has Absol and really drives viewrship, and SG seemed like redeemed themselves by picking domestic talentlike kippei who's way too young to tier 2 standards.
After looking at the format, I agree, we will be having same conversation soon lol
Speaking of formats, holy shit who tf created them, only 2 premier teams qualifies to advance stage, might as well tell riot to turn vcj into franchise system
The way I see it advance stage format like this will only cause complacency, as if the orgs themselves are not complacent enough with gazillion imports on the scene
Probably? But they picked their academy players so it's gonna be hard for them imo, I mean that's just what happens when you actually tried to help the scene and take the fewest shortcuts possible.
Not to mention the roster they have this time actually have something to show for but FAV kinda just has had enough it seems
It's not dying in japan yet but they will if orgs keep spending money on imports. Not to mention SOOP'S deal and merging SEA triggers a spillover to VCJ, if orgs don't change the way they're doing things rn there will be hardships in the future
Imo, they should just forget about LANs and actually stick to marketing and funding teams.
Well I did say "it got me thinking" so it's gonna be my personal opinion π.
Did riot even allocate any money to tier 2 lol, as far as I can see those allocations only go to production and prizepool.
They probably don't tbh, we could've seen Keisu , lafura and Mametu in main stage, all of which are upcomers and looked good but yeah its unfortunate that riot added academy teams rn
But I got to see honeybunny and killaa so it balances out a bit but I still don't like where this is going
But you can't deny that Academy teams are probably the trigger to this tho.
Fav has been very unlucky with their matchups they got cockblocked 5 times always 1 step behind from reaching main stage and FAV is willing to put up qith it due to the promise of better exposure, but Academy Teams in VCJ is probably a slap in the face towards all the efforts FAV put in imo. And they actually have promising roster this time with all upcoming players
Sometimes I do , but most of the time IonlywatchvcjXD
I came across this tweet
https://x.com/deviceotaku/status/1892894553419526472?t=liYRMLKDM6X6yIPKZer26A&s=19
This tweet most likely came as a response to FAV announcing them leaving valorant ( not forever) . It really got me thinking about whether academy teams are actually necessary in VCJ.
On one hand, the region is not in need of Tier 1 support.
But on the other hand both teams are actually elevating the scene more than most orgs.
To make it worse even FAV is actually one of the few orgs who actually tried to elevate the scene.
Ain't gonna lie I know this will happen.
This team is always 1 step away from qualifying to main stage. They had the unluckiest matchups compared to all orgs in jp
Fav disbands for now.
Legit the unluckiest org ever, which is a shame because this org actually invests in local talents.
I told my friends I watched "pawn stars" and they misheard it as "porn stars" π
Would rather watch pawn stars, but I find storage wars just as interesting
In my case I can say that 95% speaks in dialect, I think the older generation actually understands mandarin more than the younger generation π. I mean there are people who speak mandarin but they're probably around 40%-50% and still uses dialect to go about their lives
There are the even younger generation that are drilled with mandarin but people like them are only 1-5%
Sry, I should have clarified, I changed the question
Other than Mandarin, do you still speak in your dialect? Is it still growing strong in your country?
Thank you
I'm not as active as I used to be anymore tho, at some point I thought of quitting , but I chose to stay because I still believed in my vision.
I'm only around when japan plays.
Stellar disbanded
Someone need to pick Feli, this guy has the potential to do good
Out of everyone on BB why do you have to drop lafura π
I mean , sure but this post doesn't offend literally anyone π
Beh phai (δΈεοΌ
Why is this thread downvoted lol
Fun fact people who can actually understand this context not just literally will easily deduce where I'm actually from, but alas internet exists π
Suspected cheater, iirc riot's method of audit is questionable as well so can't tell if he's actually cheating or not. Also this guy is a massive PR risk
Agreed, can't really blame them for playing so badly when it's pure coaching diff lol
Nvm God Take back to sleep it seems
They need to save BRIAN lol
Legit coaching diff
Muto BRIAN activated and the long awaited God Take is back awake. No wonder they're on a roll lol
Jp pros have also complained about cheaters in their servers
You need to make use of what you have. It's not as if the talent pool is stagnant
Zeta Academy just proved that there are players with potential the orgs haven't touched.
prospects like Keisu and Satwoshi is on their way to next split.
You wanna watch IGZIST played like shit for 1 year ?ππ
That only slows org repairments, it doesn't guarantee that orgs will start looking for domestic talents. In fact, due to the perception that imports are more guaranteed they actually double down on imports because now recruiting players are essentially a long term thing.
Riot needs to implement something that can be guaranteed to force these orgs
They won't but Riot will, they loved viewerships and money more than anything, and the numbers are failing on all fronts.
But yeah it would be nice if there are talented IGL coming from japan.
Shut up lol I watched them. Akame might have had the best japanese out of all Koreans on VCJ. While jinboong had very thick Korean accent.
Not everyone, people forgot about this but Meteor needed Joxjo to translate stuff for him back in Northeption.
I assume Impact got cut off from Sengoku quickly because gwangboong had to translate things for him
And most importantly it's to avoid players like Yoshiii and Yotaa who are japanese but can't speak Japanese, they're basically just imports lol
You mean like mini franchising? I don't think that solves the problem.
The problem with VCJ rn is lack of commitment and good will. Orgs like Scarz exist while CGZ continues to use their scouting solely for imports. A mini franchising only makes things worse by not providing an org why they should change, in fact doing that now only sort of "rewards" orgs for doing basically nothing.
If the orgs are not moving then riot should. Force their hands into unable to get imports.
Different Nationalities, Koreans come from VCK not VCJ.
I'm talking about VCJ not Pacific.
As simple as reducing import slots to just 1 per team. Speaking fluent Japanese should be mandatory.
In the long run.
The most important thing for riot is Zeta and DFM to maintain the Japanese viewership. Tier 1 players come from Tier 2 and a failing tier 2 system will produce suboptimal domestic talents.
Japanese doesn't want to watch a full Korean team. But they don't want to watch a losing team either. That means Riot will have to fix the system. Either way import slots will be reduced to 1 unless Korean spies disguised as Japanese orgs complained just like how LCS orgs wanted to remove the import slots
I would even go so far as to equate the loss of Smolensk to other region widening the gap to the point of no return
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sta%C5%84czyk_(painting)#cite_ref-9
The painting serves as a poignant representation of 19th-century Polish society, capturing the profound impact of the loss of Smolensk, a fortress that held vital significance as a stronghold against the Grand Duchy of Moscow. Its fall foreshadowed a series of tragic events that would befall Poland in the ensuing decades.
Within the artwork, the figures at the ball symbolize the Polish nobles who, in pursuit of self-interest and personal gain, compromised the nation's sovereignty by aligning themselves with foreign empires. This opportunistic course of action ultimately contributed to the downfall of the nation.
The similarity towards VCJ is very much the same.
Jester = Me
the ball = Orgs thinking the region has made deep progress
Polish nobles who, in pursuit of self-interest and personal gain, compromised the nation's sovereignty by aligning themselves with foreign empires. = Represents orgs who knowingly imports players in the name of short term gain.
(added) loss of Smolensk = other region widening the gap to the point of no return
Jan Matejko goated. He clearly knew my feelings even on his grave
Yowamu has to be the most improved player this split.
He ended up in top 4 back in nth and he was carried hard.
Now in top 3 he's the one who's doing the heavy lifting.
Omg pls update the score lol, the stream ended alr and were still at 2 1 π
