Any roster formed on basis of recency bias will never succeed in long run.
It's a well known fact that consistency> high peaks when it comes to a league format T1 competition.
If you really want to make a good roster either hold trials or go around and pick 5 players who have been outfragging their peers in T2 for atleast 2 yrs preferably more.
Go around and look at stats section of South Asian valo tourneys from 2021 to 2024, you will find 3 names repeat over and over again while others keep coming and going with their peaks.
One of them has been top 5 in almost every stat in 8/10 tournaments he has played in India and yet it's laughable how he is never considered a first name to represent India in T1.

Idk maybe GE management believes 5 Indians would do even worse
They don't seem to realise we do hv decent enough aimers and with a good coach atleast we won't finish last but we'll hopefully they atleast build a good roster which can qualify for masters even if they don't take more Indian players

In this whole team only Russ and Blazeking have what it takes to be competitive at high T1 level.
Lightningfast is fine but inconsistent but honestly I can name 5 players in India better than him so I don't see the justification in him being sole indian Representative.
Benkai is pretty much not it anymore aim wise and While Polvi is decent almost every other team in Pacific itself has a better duelist.
Blazeking will also get dropped due to obvious reason and if Rushindra is serious about competing nobody except maybe Russ is going to be retained in starting 5 of roster.

Yess so were Azys and Tesseract in SA VCL last year infact even more dominant but we need to realize that top SEA teams won't whiff as much as our players do. It's almost impossible in ascension to kill 2 double swinging guys of good team while it happens so frequently in SA league.

You never know but yess they are far down below in the list of favs to win ascension. The whole roster is player to player a slightly worse version of OG, our last reps.
But if they do play to their potential they can definitely make it to playoffs and I am pretty sure that's what every sane person is expecting of them in India.

It's less of a choke and more of an aim diff.
All love to Aryu and Disrupt they are great team players but when other imports are putting up huge numbers it's hard to win if you don't put up the same or better numbers.
Indian core is anyways more or less equal in all top teams of India and plays a bit better or worse depending on day and their form.

RNT's util is good TR still has better reads, macro plays and positioning still TR loses the round solely on aim.
