There is a semi-franchised league on CS. You have Blast circuit and ESL that have some partner teams, but there are still spots to open qualifiers. The thing is, this semi-franchised league is kinda new, and "tier 1" teams are just getting used to play the same teams, thats why they are not used to play against tier 2 teams, then they choke against them.
We shouldn't say that GL and Vitality had "free" finals, because those underdog teams won against the "top" teams.

Tier 2 valorant could be way better than franchised teams, because those teams grind more than tier 1 for sure.

I'm not coping btw. I wanted g2 to win, but their lost is pretty deserved. And the underdogs reached where they are because they deserve it

Sorry there is no franchising to make Big orgs to finals with no effort. You are a sheep.
Gigachads watch good cs/val

Zywoo is a pretty consistent player, if he continues like this, he will be the goat of all esports (ok im being a little biased but top3 for sure)

posted about 2 years ago

Zywoo is a 22yo french prodigy
First year in tier 1 cs and he was #1 player in 2019
#1 in 2020
#2 2021
#2 2022
And will be #1 in 2023

What I meant is that the addition of a new agent, or a buff/nerf will change some team combinations, but its not a fully tactical change, and its very addaptive

posted about 2 years ago

I mean, meta doesn't change that much
With new agent releases you may see some differences but they are not gamechanging imo

bro is mad

I mean, he does a lot of multi frags every round, and they are pretty impactful
After the major probably someone will make a compilation of his plays

Bro, Navi in Stockholm major had to beat vitality, gambit and g2 that were the best teams after Navi

So stop baiting

wouldn't say that, but I won't deny that valve should have done something

cs events are all made by organizations, and organizations must be profitable obviously... but the thing is, if there isn't a big playerbase in asia, why would hosters create events that wouldn't be profitable?

so it's not orgs's fault or valve's fault that asia doesn't have that much interest in cs
and I heard that the reason cs died in korea was by governaments fault, because of lan cafes laws... cuz korea cs was actually decent in 1.6 times

and this analogy applies also in NA, but the reason that most of NA cs died was because of covid and valorant

posted about 2 years ago

asia is just because cs isn't that popular there, and there aren't that many local organizations that are interested to host events
na is just bad lmao

posted about 2 years ago

no they wont lmao
-cs2 realease, basically will bring a lot of motivation
-you kinda have more opportunities in cs since there you can actually qualify if you are good enough
-you dont have a franchising league that is cringe af

uh? whats the correlation?

lmao +1

Fair enough, good point
didn't even remember the ropz situation too
but time will tell, and in my opinion, woro is actually a good player and he will be on the tops in the future

Valorant and CS should 🤝 +1

I'd like to see either G2 to give AU their first major and Niko finally getting his major, Liquid (ik they are playing like shit, but I like them) or Vitality (just because im a big dupreeh fan and Zywoo also deserves a major)

posted about 2 years ago

But he actually said he was looking for going back to CS. But not sure when. It's clear that he likes cs more, but he has opportunities on valorant

posted about 2 years ago

Not just the trophies. 2022 was his first year in tier 1 cs and he was the #7 player of 2022

The only young dude that I know that may come back to cs is Jammpi

I never compared Cold with Faker, I used Faker as an example that I may not be a fan of a scene, like LOL, to know a player's achievements.

And no one is obliged to know who Cold is, not even Faker.

And I wasn't pressured by someone saying "who?" for Cold. I just answered to your statement "Not everyone is a CS fan", which doesn't make any sense.

posted about 2 years ago

Don't need to be a CS fan to acknowledge if a player is a legend or not.
I'm not a LOL fan, but I respect Faker for his achievements

There is kinda a lot of changes, I feel that tho.
But this is the first beta, for sure valve knows that people won't play just d2 till summer. I believe they will add more maps and features in the beta, and then we will see more changes i guess

posted about 2 years ago

Cs in asia was big back in the day, at least in korea, but the governament added some laws that basically killed cs 1.6 in lan houses. After that korea scene became very small.
But cs is actually big in china tho, there is a lot of players and viewers, but they are not that competitive.

The difference is that val is a "closed" esport, because riot makes their tournaments by themselves, but in cs valve doesn't make any tournament, they depend on event organizers.

It's not that they don't care about the game, it's just the way they work

posted about 2 years ago

valve can get hype with no advertisement
they aren’t like riot that need drops and shit to bring clout

posted about 2 years ago

nah i think second major will be on source 2
think about it, the second major will be around october or november, and source 2 will be launched in summer, 2 months is enough to learn the new things
if the utility lineups will be different, that won’t be a problem, cuz now there is a lot of new lineup practice tools

posted about 2 years ago

basically remade all the game to a new modern and simple code
people expect a new game but it is a long term update
and there is still so much more lol, the beta we got is very basic

posted about 2 years ago

You are delusional if you think almost all gunplay in cs is spraying 💀

Unbanned VP because they were bought if I'm not mistaken. So basically VP ain't a russian org now

Valve policies, idk.

posted about 2 years ago

No, because valve employees are free to work in the game they want. If they want to work on dota and then if they want to work on cs they can.

It's not a good thing for games in source 1, like TF2 and CSGO (csgo was getting some because is the main game tho)

But for the games that work in source 2, it's good, i guess.

posted about 2 years ago

"CS gets all those things once a year and many of them not even"

Thats because many valve employees didn't want to work with Source 1.

Now that cs2 exists, the updates will for sure come more often

(if you don't know, valve employees are free to work on what they want)

posted about 2 years ago

Its not about being lazy.
Valve employees are free to work in what they want. But most of them work on dota 2 just because it works on source 2. Better engine, easier to use. Since CSGO and TF2 works in Source 1 (a very old engine), most of the employees choose not to work with it.
Now since CS is working on Source 2, trust me, there will be a ton of updates.
And what you saw is beta testing. There is so much to come until summer.

Blast major will happen on April, so its likely to get new things getting revealed

posted about 2 years ago

It's not the same thing as overwatch 2 rebrand.
Yeah both rebranded to "2", but the approach is VERY different. Counter-strike will still be the same game, but will have a super optimized and modern code, and its easier to bring more updates!
People are expecting a different game, but they need to understand what a engine port means

Trust me, it's a great long-term update

First of all it’s a beta.
Second of all it’s a rebrand, so they called cs2 just because it’s csgo ported to source 2 engine.
And finally, you need to understand that the game is the same but everything got remade with better quality, and it’s good for the game health’s in long term.

Don’t you remember valorant in beta? how clunky it was? It changed a lot right? Cs will be the same, expect good improvements

posted about 2 years ago

Its a csgo with agents with powers adapted from Overwatch. Riot did change some things like the maps per example, but they copied some aspects and just got everything together
I'm not saying it is bad, i'm saying that your statement is kinda wrong

cs2 = csgo with big update, is that hard to understand?
