Qualifiers for VCT Stage 3 start sometime in June
Looks like Alex from C9 CS:GO is not yet ready to make the switch to Valorant, for whatever reason.
yeah that's true, but it does seem that for teams who currently have 0 circuit points, VCT masters stage 3 is do or do not qualify for the champions later on in the year.
People on reddit are saying that he had been bought out by another team. If true, then NiP probably just flipped him for a decent financial profit after the performances he had shown earlier. Think what mousesports did with NiKo in cs:go
thank neLendirekt and CocoVLR, it's their work. I only reposted this after seeing it on /r/valorantcompetitive new page.
If you want good teammates, you need to find a good stack. Simple as is unfortunately, otherwise git gud so that next time you would drop a 50 bomb on Jett to make sure that your random teammates wouldn't matter anymore ://
Canada and USA flags are hella out of place too, unless Ocelote decided to look outside the box and import players from NA.
unluko, that's why I don't bother nolifing these competitive games anymore. Just requires too much time to 1) git gud to carry yourself through ranks 2) sucks the life out of you through these unluko scenarios
Looks normal to me, close games, could have went either way. You are bound to climb these ranks anyway, the more you play until eventually you hit your true rank through the law of large numbers. But the point is you gotta play a lot, that's how Riot starts owning your booty mens ))
Only read the twitter thread after this post, but this guy is also a major reason we know about these rumours in the first place. Sorry about that Coco

holy moly that took long to type out
https://www.1pv.fr/fr/news/103818-valorant-overview-of-the-current-transfer-window
Holy moly, it seems that EU is not sleeping on last chance qualifiers for VCT Champions
I think it has to do with the fact that EU commission is easing international travel restrictions in the shape of "vaccine passports", while no such equivalent plans have been announced by the USA at federal level just yet. More about it here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-56970398
niesow, more about it in this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/lctdya/niesow_the_cheater_an_analysis/
tanizhq got significantly better offer from OG(seeing some rumours that he is gonna be responsible for their rebuild too), while at the same time other orgs became interested in some heretics players.
Yeah, my thoughts exactly. I have my doubts about nukkye being the main duelist on this roster. He does have a decent Raze and Reyna, but he does slack on Jett and op'ing in the current meta, as he is supposedly main OP'er on Heretics team too. At the same time I think that niesow was the superior aggressive duelist over nukkye. Don't get me wrong, nukkye is a solid player, but not the kind of player that could carry a team like cNed does or niesow did in heretics roster.
If this G2 roster iteration is to succeed, they will need to have mad good fundamentals, chemistry and tactical depth. This is not the kind of roster that is gonna win games due to their mechanical skill superiority.
I see, thanks. Tanizhq just made a reddit comment in /r/ValorantCompetitive in "European Shuffle" thread: https://i.imgur.com/XplyCOT.png
thoughts?
Interesting, wasn't aware of him trying out for a French team, cheers!
paura going to a french team? That's a new one, or did you mean turkish team instead?
Intriguing in terms that he is likely corroborating/confirming the move. I'm aware that neL's record is near perfect or perfect, but in his article he did state that negotiations were ongoing and it was all dependant whether G2 could reach a reasonable agreement with Heretics regarding buyouts for both nukkye and Avova.
Are there any other spicy details that were mentioned in Spanish podcasts that the rest of the scene are not aware of?
Anyway, if twitter likes are anything to go by, I find Tanizhq liking particular neL's tweets quite intriguing: https://i.imgur.com/1tmoeLX.png
If Tanizhq's twitter like on neL's "It's starting. Basically G2 will finalize it's roster, then everything will move." means anything, then this only corroborates the article that was published by neL a week ago. Or the mans could just be baiting.
I'm gonna be a negative nancy and already call that this roster for unexpected reasons is not going to meet "superteam" expectations
Yeah, I get what you're saying, and I agree with where you are coming from.
In regards to TH and Acend - IceLAN is not the main event this year, the main major event is going to happen late in 2021. Come June and all the VCT stage 3 qualifiers will start again and I expect to have a wild shift in European scene during these coming months. While current teams are gonna be sweating in IceLAN(and thus not giving them that much time to prepare for VCT stage 3), the unqualified teams are gonna be training hard with their focus being last chance qualifiers and Valorant's first S-Tier event happening late in 2021. Heretics and Acend could well be on their way of dominating again by the time VCT stage 3 comes around, assuming that G2 roster shuffle rumours turn out to be false.
ok, your first bit made me laugh, so true :D
Even if BBL💛 🖤FUT🖤 💚OXG💚💜BBL💛 🖤FUT🖤 💚OXG💚💜BBL💛 🖤FUT🖤 💚OXG💚💜BBL💛 🖤FUT🖤 💚OXG💚💜BBL💛 🖤FUT🖤 💚OXG💚💜BBL💛 🖤FUT🖤 💚OXG💚💜BBL💛 🖤FUT🖤 💚OXG💚💜BBL💛 🖤FUT🖤 💚OXG💚💜BBL💛 🖤FUT🖤 💚OXG💚💜BBL💛 🖤FUT🖤 💚OXG💚💜BBL💛 🖤FUT🖤 💚OXG💚💜BBL💛 🖤FUT🖤 💚OXG💚💜BBL💛 🖤FUT🖤 💚OXG💚💜BBL💛 🖤FUT🖤 💚OXG💚💜BBL💛 🖤FUT🖤 💚OXG💚💜BBL💛 🖤FUT🖤 💚OXG💚💜BBL💛 🖤FUT🖤 💚OXG💚💜BBL💛 🖤FUT🖤 💚OXG💚💜BBL💛 🖤FUT🖤 💚OXG💚💜BBL💛 🖤FUT🖤 💚OXG💚💜BBL💛 🖤FUT🖤 💚OXG💚💜BBL💛 🖤FUT🖤 would get knocked out, Turkish fans would still watch teams like Heretics or Acend, because of pAura and cNed. Arguably, also in the future with the upcoming roster shuffles in the EU scene for VCT stage 3, some Turkish players playing in EMEA qualifiers today, could end up on new EU rosters, giving more reason for Turkish fans to continue watching EU teams.
I'm just trying to say that TR community is really shooting itself in the foot wanting to have Turkey as a separate region. Sure some players get an opportunity to win 20k twice a year playing as a Turkish 5 stack, but that removes the incentive from Turkish players to practice their English and go international, where there is more competition.
Pretty sure Turkish fans would still watch those games even if Turkish teams were to be smashed in round 2 of open qualifiers. I would argue though that inside European competition, Turkish teams could definitely qualify for main events, not just bum out during the qualifiers. I would also argue that for the benefit of Turkish players they work better when they are a part of international rosters, rather than having wholly Turkish teams.
Why not just merge all of them into Europe, or keep EU and CIS separate. Turkey geographically is not that far away from EU servers for them to warrant a separate region like CIS.
CIS is simply good, they were quite competitive against FPX which is arguably one of the best representatives for EU.
We've all heard of Turkish Jett, but why is no one talking about russki Jett )) D3FFO looking nutty in round 9(when score was 7-1 to Gambit)
Dunno, from the context that I am aware, to me it seemed that tanizhq was an asshole in response to G2 being assholes to Heretics' success, but I might not know all the details. Regardless, if this leak does indeed turn out to be true, this is massive hype. Hopefully this potential roster will not become a burnt pancake, because the newly acquired players started underperforming or the new team doesn't mesh together well at all etc...
yeah I know, that would be such a top 10 anime betrayals moment towards tanizhq twitter beef with G2.
m1xwell was duo queuing with nukkye a lot on streams, there might be some well established friendship already and pre-cursor to these movies :D
Let's see if Vitality fragon managed to prepare the Vitality boys for this match
If EU had double elimination brackets like NA or KR does, there would be much more consistency.
somebody should have signed first strike nolpenki to begin with :P
Riot EU tweeted about this just now: https://twitter.com/valesports_eu/status/1381591560064794625
yes, streamers usually appear 5 mins before the match start on this page.
Yeah, but the issue is in the ping. EU players can play in Turkish servers with bearable ping(~70 ping), while for Koreans, their ping in SEA servers would probably something more like 150.
Well, I think it will definitely change after Corona restrictions are over. Currently, it would be a bigger challenge for teams to relocate from South Korea to SEA with all these restrictions, rather than play in Korean qualifiers.
It's their choice which qualifiers to play in, apparently. Some full EU team with only 1 Turk on the roster played in Turkish qualifiers for Masters 2.
Frankfurt 1, according to nukkye: https://twitter.com/nukkyez/status/1380921292732383234
Heretics looking fresh in terms of their macro play - they definitely did their homework.
Haha, very true. It was a great match though, came to a wire. Hopefully Acend don't tilt too hard due to having play Open Qualifies from 10th of April all over again though
NiP looking like they haven't done their homework judging by map 1. ACE got this, even though I said that NiP has a chance in one of my previous posts.
I think NiP might win this one, purely due to the fact that NiP had more time to practice and alter their playstyle to counter Acend harder. Whereas, Acend coming with the fresh win from Masters, might have not had enough time to adjust, therefore making their playstyle more counter-able.
inb4 riot finds out about this and tells the organisers to stop organising this 3rd party tournament because Riot would have no control over it Kappa
He can't just "quit" C9, he has a contract with them for the next 3 years. And the way these contracts are written in esports, makes it so that you can't represent another organisation whilst under contract and the only way to void the contract is if someone else bought it out or C9 broke its contractual obligations(i.e. stop paying TenZ's paycheck). C9 could keep TenZ on the bench for the next 3 years if they wanted to, whilst he of course would still be collecting the paycheck for doing nothing, but that also would prevent him from "quitting" C9 as you imply.
Seems like Heretics went the $322 route for this one
nice stream Freaks4U and Riot EU, really entertaining having to rely on Google Doc spreadsheet stream to keep up with the live score
Vitality are in real trouble if KLATWA plays on Ascent like G2 did against Vitality.
