a team has 1 year in tier 1 and unless they make champs they get relegated but if they make playoffs they get straight into ascension and dont need to requalify. the changes take place next year.

so G2 would stay in t1
DRG would have to reascend in the ascension tournament
GM8 and Bleed would have to requalify for ascension.

if both ascension team make champs the lower placed team would be relegated into the ascension tournament
if both teams dont make champs then both get relegated and two teams ascend instead of just 1

overall its pretty bad for the orgs but good for better competition,
also a team making champs and needing to requalify is kinda shitty

China has 8x the population of those countries, chinas viewership is more than every region combined. shanghai had a few of the biggest stadiums so far and all the tickets sold out in 33 seconds. every single match, every single seat. china reached 1 million concurrent (meaning 1 million people were all online at the same time) playerbase in 7 months after release.

LOL is dominated by 2 single countries, korea and china while every other region is drinking sips. TL took a map off T1 (korea) and was considered an american success, g2 took down TES (china) and it was a huge accomplishment in LOL history.

Problem with that is, your the need to miss a qualification for another event, and then cram all the work to compensate for the longer masters or you stream multiple games at the same time.

Kickoff is a thing because its optimal to having a masters without an overlly long time of qualification. The masters being 8 teams is also to make the event shorter.

I feel like edgs lotus is very antistratable and their sunset defence is questionable. EDG need some improvement on these antieco strats and still overheat way to much, sen vs edg was kinda a mess of a game (not as bad as whatever tf drx vs heretics was) so unless they massively improve I see a lev 2-0 or 2-1. I would love an edg win tho
