DRX banned fracture first against ZETA. Big brain moves.

I feel like CR would still get a lot of viewers. Other teams not so much.

Just for show

I own a 2019 100 thieves jersey that a friend gifted me.

Yay better because he does it on LAN. Cryo definitely up there tho.

posted about 2 years ago

Yay might be there best player in the world atm.

I guess drx just have to win everything without a 16 team masters.

Unfortunate circumstances for EMEA. But hey Japan looks decent!

People love to hone into negativity, but most fans of any region are normal human beings.

That too.

Zeta also has more momentum and games so they came in pretty hot.

posted about 2 years ago

It’s so weird. Split should be defender sided but ZETA just seem to lose on defense.

posted about 2 years ago

It’s because they’re actually invested in the team, you can especially feel it in the casters.

He’s still the best Japanese Jett player. Japan lacks great Jett players.

Teams can get better throughout the tournament. CR got stomped by GMB in their first match, but the rematch was closer.

posted about 2 years ago

Tbf zeta got like 5 rounds on attack but lost super hard on defense.

ZETA vs G2: a decently close 2:0 for G2
LLL vs TL: I have bought into the LOUD hype. 2:0 for LLL.
DRX vs PRX: another decently close 2:0 for DRX. I think they will carry their momentum from group stage.
OPTC vs TGRD: 2:0 for OPTC, I don’t think this match will be that close since OPTC has warmed up, and yay is looking like the best player in the world atm.

I’m not good enough at the game to analyze based on actual skill, this is just a feeling thing.

I have no idea. Must be some joke I’m missing.

Banter and sarcasm is something many Japanese people don’t understand. For western esports fans bantering is common, however this type of content is rare in Japan.

I’m not justifying their action, just providing some context on why some fans didn’t receive the segment well.

A lot of fans are actually quite open about criticisms, but they don’t like the way it’s delivered.

Example: Calling Takumi Minamino of Liverpool a Carabao Cup Merchant will typically be seen as banter in the west, but some Japanese fans will think you are shitting on him.

Ggs man it was a close game!

I don’t like putting flairs of teams I cheer for since I’m afraid of jinxing.

posted about 2 years ago

Ohhhh yea I’m drunk on hopium

posted about 2 years ago

Like a series? Aren’t they undefeated? If you’re talking about maps didn’t mibr beat them on icebox?

posted about 2 years ago

Four rounds on attack is enough if ZETA are good at split

Help I’m so bricked up right now #ZETAWIN

I’m so ducking hard

You can feel the energy behind the casters.

I’m so hard for Koji Ushida

posted about 2 years ago

He’s the best by far

posted about 2 years ago

Yea this list is just tentative. That’s why I put the last open slot for the region that performs the best.

posted about 2 years ago

Tournament hasn’t ended, maybe The Guard wins it all you know.

posted about 2 years ago

IMO this is how masters 2 slot allocation could go assuming 16 teams.

EMEA: 4
NA: 3
SEA: 2
BR: 1
LATAM: 1
KR: 1
JP: 1
SA LCQ: 1
KR/JP LCQ: 1
One last spot is between sea and br (whoever performs better).

I actually don’t mind the delays, since that means I can actually watch zeta vs fnc when I get home from work.

posted about 2 years ago

He’s 16, not every rookie will perform at their first LAN.

posted about 2 years ago

Honestly I was expecting xand to play Kay/o and Jonn play Jett. The game would have been a bit closer imo.

posted about 2 years ago

I hope DRX stomps so I can feel better about ZETA getting shat on.

posted about 2 years ago

NIP dismantled an uncoordinated FNC. If they can beat a coordinated team like DRX they looking good.

posted about 2 years ago

I think split astra is feasible. Gambit and optic play it a lot.

posted about 2 years ago

Sadly that’s just a schedule thing. You can just say DRX is seeded higher than FNC/NIP

posted about 2 years ago

I’m hoping for drx win and fnc win so we can maybe see nip vs fnc with derke.

posted about 2 years ago

I personally hope NIP wins since I think they would fare better against drx than Fnc atm.

posted about 2 years ago

IMO NIP has pretty much won this series. Too early to call?

posted about 2 years ago

Tbh if Liquid beats Xerxia I don’t think the outcome is too bad for EMEA.

posted about 2 years ago

I prefer the match actually start at the advertised time.

posted about 2 years ago

If NIP looks like a functional team (basically not getting swept by FNC), I’m kissing ZETA’s chances a goodbye (unless NiP are a team that plays to the level of their opponent).

posted about 2 years ago

Format doesn’t help. I’m pretty sure JP play the least amount of meaningful games to qualify.

posted about 2 years ago

Would be super funny if liquid just ended up winning Iceland in a sentinel-esque run.

posted about 2 years ago

We probably won’t see any significant scrimbux for a while since some teams just began scrimming.

posted about 2 years ago

No, the ceo of zeta division is replying saying they are doing fine with getting matches.
