It is because 5 ping can hold angle like a bot, but 40ms can't.
To be honest 5-10 ping is REALLY strong at valorant you can easily do switch target taps without taking any damage (if you're good)
It only doesn't matter if 40ping against 70-80ping. but 5-10 ping against 40-50. 5ping will be a GOAT.

I got radiant playing with 60-90ms but the problem isn't 40 ping difference but playing against someone with 5-10 ping because they can hold an angle like a statue (a bot) and will kill you without any effort because low ping in valorant is strong asf, but 30ping vs 50-60ping is ok. but 5 ping vs 30-40 ping u can't even do shit.

edit: yes having many friends actually affect your FPS in-game, some pro even complained about it once at twitter. when I got my 240hz sometimes my FPS was oscilating to 200-220 during fiesta fights, after I deleted all my friends my fps is ALWAYS 240fps+

Korea is a minor region as well, low player count, not big streamers, I never seen some korean playing Valorant with 2k+ views, but in BR or any other region people can get 30k views easily. Why you think BR still not good right now? Simple, because you need to live in Sao Paulo to have a 3-10 ping to play decent, because in Immortal lobby everyone is from South. 3-10 ping too strong against someone 70-90 ping from North.

To be honest, immortal is a decent player.. but based in last act I would say Immortal3+ is a high tier player.
I cannot judge because for me everyone lower than Immortal is bad, watching some players screen I felt like as if with parkison, some Immortal cannot aim well, no crosshair placement, low reaction. I'm still biased towards CS because for me I always found having superior aim is ALL.
But right now in Valorant some people with a shit aim still getting Immortal3+ playing Sentinels, Smoke, etc. Being a ward is strong.
