It's not even about having an inferiority complex
It's just what I have seen for these past years
Indian players don't care about the gameplay (not everyone but most part)
Give them salary and they are okay with being mediocre all their life
Look at the region stats
The best South Asian player is never an Indian
It's either Mongol or Kazakh or Pinoy
You have these players come in and just tear the region apart
Now you can definately say it is due to the lack of an eSports culture but for any player, no matter how bad they are, to bring them into tier 1, they need to be some amount of good.
A stat I have always liked is SkRossi in Ascensions. He was ranked top 10 in SA and there was a discrepancy of +20 or above in the rankings when he played against these top Ascensions teams which btw, get beaten away by most tier 1 teams in the season (not saying off season here)
So yea, you need to grow these players but you can't grow someone who doesn't want to grow. That is the main problem with Indian players. A lack of drive. They are okay with being in these big orgs and getting huge paychecks and being settled for life.
I hate GE as much as everyone else but I feel like people give them too much shit for things like these.
Also for instance, the GE trials. Open trials yes? They are asking you to come in and show them why you are worth it. How many people come? 10 + Lightningfast.
It's crazy how much drive these players actually lack.
Show up to open trials. People can't get in your home and log into your valorant account and make you appear for your trials.
More than 100 people appeared for closed trials and how many Indians? 10. Out of them only Venka and Techno made it a bit far that too got eliminated way before the last round.
Sure I would love an all Indian team, but just picking up randoms isn't it.
