LMAOOO you saw nothing, I accidentally pressed publish with my temporary title π
no one saw that stretched af preview image π€«
FOKUS MENTIONED ππππ©πͺπ©πͺπ©πͺπππ 3 2 1 FOKUS
very true I clicked the wrong thing π
That'll teach em not to pick an SA team in the playoffs
it's been like this forever, I like it, gives an extra bonus to the teams who got top 4 in groups because they get to dodge the BO1s. They're always exciting to watch too, the only time I can recall where I wished they weren't BO1 was after the TI8 Alliance Gyrocopter incident.
Leo will make his debut for FNATIC in the opening match of Superdome against NASR Esports at 7 p.m. CEST.
so that was a fucking lie
superdome schedule slightly delayed π
the viewers won, that icebox map is the most fun I've had in years
vlr chatters truly my best copyeditors
I think if these teams played another two games it would have devolved into total ranked chaos after playing 7/8 maps in a row
Ah, that makes sense.
tbh I don't really know what quantifies as CIS in esports because even Ukraine isn't in the CIS organisation. So yeah in my head - next to Russia = close enough I guess
The difference is in the head-to-head, Fnatic have a h2h win against 3/4 of the teams that they can still tie with, so they'll always go through. Guild on the other hand have a head-to-head win against BIG, which is useless for tiebreakers because Guild can't tie with BIG anymore.
I found tiebreaker rules in the official rulebook: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HsqsXRKtKmZgkxqU-SwATAChvY90gzYoZumhpYbRqks/edit
Usually I find these rulebooks via the Liquipedia page and then clicking the rulebook button on the right. These rulebooks generally aren't the easiest to find though, depending on the esport as well.
The official tiebreaker is head-to-head first, however, the VLR standings are sorted by map wins rather than H2H because it's easier to sort by.
The math is complicated, but Guild aren't quite confirmed just yet. If a very specific combination of results happens they could still come fourth, but in practice they're pretty much confirmed.
Edit: to elaborate on this, if:
then M3C will be first, with Guild, BBL and NAVI in a 3-way tie for second, and then Guild would lose the head-to-head against both to come fourth.
yeah that is exactly what happened lol
Ik werd een Fokus fan toen ik coverage van EMEA promotion deed, er was geen Engelse stream voor sommige van de Fokus games dus ik moest de Duitse stream kijken en hun enthousiasme was aanstekelijk
(btw not sure how did this comment ended up somewhere else in the thread I swear I replied to this comment lol)

yessir, I changed my steam name to Jingu Bells for Christmas back in 2017 ish and never changed the pfp back lol
can't deny the fact I delayed finishing this article to watch karrigan win a major
Flags are determined by the player majority, not the organisation's origin.
You're very right, edited now ;)
played with coach so it doesn't count COPIUM
unironically this. LOUD or ZETA winning is a much cooler storyline than OpTic winning.
good night Eutalyx
wrote this whole ass article about how everyone is underrating Liquid and Jamppi says they can win the tournament
and then I still went for KRU in my pickems π
respect to the anonymo boys honestly, I thought group B was the group of life and they were lucky to be here but they proved me & probably many other people wrong
redlight clearly read my JP/KR recap a little too much
Ah shit, you're right, that's on me. Edited now ;)
Thank you my friend, we'll take V1 down with us again!
ultra fast hudsen W
why this dude called square table
lets fucking goooooooooooooooooooooooooo
banger match, don't care who wins
as it stands, KOI and Giants are in first, both on 6-2, and Rebels, Case, and Queso are on 5-3. You need to be top 2 to get a bye in the playoffs. KOI and Giants play each other, so winner gets the bye (ends 7-2) and the other team ends 6-3. Rebels play Arctic, should be ez win, 6-3. Case play Heretics (disaster roster, 1-7 atm) ez win, 6-3. Queso play Movistar Riders, ez win. If all this happens, 4 way tie for the last playoff spot. Then again, it's all bo1s so it will probably be chaos and none of this will happen

shame a lot of the cool T2 teams aren't playing, no Akrew, Soniqs, BBG, SoaR, Pioneers, etc.
Liquipedia Rocket League is the most active LP website out of all of them, and by far the best for following the RL esport.
by qualifying to Berlin they secure a minimum of 175 points, which is the points that the last place team in Berlin gets.
